Does AAS trigger myostatin?

I have always been interested in the topic of myostatin. Which regulates muscle growth by basically stopping muscle growth. I know it sounds weird but does anyone have a better understanding of this ?

Does that not sound counterintuitive?
Answer: Yes, it does.
Indeed, both test' and tren' have been shown to at least partially reverse the effects of myostatin just as we might have expected.

It's programmed into your DNA and determined by your genetics. It's why some people are naturally more muscular then others

the myostatin drugs available are extremely expensive and risky to use

they are risky because in one study they were given to females and their thighs grew.

so who is to say if you use them then organs won't grow?

the human body cannot be cheated.. if you want to grow muscle you need to lift hard and sleep hard.

From a reply above (it seemed to ring a bell of something I've seen) that 'test and tren' flick the switch, as it were, but very, very briefly. So-called homesostasis then switches it back off just as quickly. And let's be honest nothing like what people would want.

A good example of someone who has been specifically tested for myostatin levels is Flex Wheeler. We've all seen photos of him on and he looks like the switch was left open - but off, as he is now, not so much.

How we think myostatin should work is 'switch on' = gains. 'Switch off' = gains from 'on' kept. Yet that doesn't seem to happen right now.

As the one who posted the information concerning tren' and test', I am mildly familiar with this subject matter. It centers around the Belgian Blue bull; an especially large bovine which is thought to carry with it an hereditary mutation having to do with the myostatin gene. It is believed that this gene enables the Belgian Blue to develop an extraordinary amount of muscle tissue. So am I correct to surmise that Wheeler is the human eqivelant to the Belgian Blue bull?

Absolutely true. What if it worked but not selectively......your ass might just keep growing to a crazy size but nothing else. See why it doesn't make sense to fuck with things like yk-11 yet?

I think several pros had gene tests. Flex showed signs of low inhibition. Ronnie for just being muscular (kinda obvious). We had a documentary on musckle fibre types here and a well known British athlete score highly for the best kind of fast twitch and so on
 
the pro we just had on the podcast who is expected to get top 10 at Mr. olympia, Griffen is his name. the guy has been seriously bodybuilding only 4 some years and look what he looks like.. yeah there is a genetic element to everything in life. and i asked him during the podcast if he has any relatives who are pro athletes and he said yeah my brother plays for the Vikings. Everson Griffen just signed a 60M contract. so obviously genetics plays a huge role in bodybuilding or anything. these brothers both have top .1% genetics and it isn't some random coincidence one is a pro NFL player and the other just started bodybuilding and is already expected to be top 10. i don't know what genes or whatever they have, call it what you want. but it is a gift from their parents

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Henry at my previous London house. He mentioned in passing how his brother one hand picked up a replica of an Inch Dumbbell like it wasn't a big deal and Mark had to explain how it was. Mark was 395lbs when we met. He also said he had a 500lb uncle.

That's genetics.

That is why, when someone asks me, "How long would it take me to look like that guy?," I often respond by saying, "Three generations, and a lot of very deliberate breeding."
