I have been hearing alot about how caffeine hinders the productivity of creatine. I have been using it for a while and with a EC stack most of the time for added energy especially since I now have to go to the gym at 6:00 AM due to work schudule, but I havent noticed any lack of results just lack of water retention. I dont know about you but I dont consider water retention results so what is it exactally that people are trying to get at about combining the two of them?

I've seen that research. It might do but only in a minor way.

IME caffeine does not hinder "creatine productiviy". I trained with creatine and without caffeine and trained with creatine + caffeine. I didn't notice any negative effect or "productiviy loss". Ofcourse i don't abuse caffeine i take it maximum 4 times per week (each dosage 200mg per day in pill form) with 3 no-caffeine days per week. You don't wanna build tolerance to caffeine as you will lose the benefits and you'll need more each time meaning you have to increase the dose.

Caffeine decreases the absorption of a lot of ingredients. Especially minerals like iron.

I don't think it really hinders it .. my best guess is to try and distance it from your stack ..

I’d say that depends on the amount. Abuse it and yes, drink a PWO and No as long as your properly hydrated. To much caffeine effects a lot of things. But for me it decreases my reps, weight capacity, cramps me up etc It affects my sleep which is # 1 for me as rest is key. To much will flush your system and deprive you of nutrients etc

Certain things I don’t look to science for, I look for what my body tells me. Just like when using AAS.. Everything is really dependent on the individual.

You mention one issue which I'll add too. That of dehydration and being properly refreshed.

The issue with many athletes stems from

1) The really rather silly habit of pros seen online (and followed by their fans)_ of scooping the powder into their mouths and swilling it down with a MOUTHFUL (at best) of water. Larry Wheel does this. Greg Valentino used to do this with Creatine then complained of getting explosive creatine shits. It says right there on the tub to add to liquid.

2) Using caffiene as either an additional powder or in pill form.

3) As you say - too much. If, as per online info, the daily recommended dose is 400mg TOTAL then using pre-workout drinks with as much as that in ONE dose is stupid. To then talk about issues is pretty much down to the person using too much.

I'm happy to drink coffee. I try to average 4 cups a day. One will be a proper brewed strong coffee (rarely 2) and the rest some kind of instant product. That's about 400mg. And, as we stated above, if it was a serious hindrance those who drink way more than me would struggle nutritionally etc etc. Like many drinks using coffee / caffeine MIGHT be a bad idea when taking meds. So drink water on those occasions
