First cycle concerns and questions

Hey fellas
I have a few questions and concerns that I was hoping a few of you seasoned guys could help with. First off a little info, I am 35 and been on trt 100mg a week for about 8 months now and all is good with that and have been wanting to run my first cycle of test for a while now and finally started it about a month ago. I am now running 400 a week 200 on mon and 200 on thurs and was feeling pretty good until about 4 days ago when I got this dull headache that I can’t kick no matter what I take. This morning I figured I would go to the drug store and get my blood pressure checked and it was 166/107 high ok well no shit I have a headache. My question was do most deal with this or individual based? Im guessing if dose goes up pressure follows and same for lowering. I know 120 is stroke range so don’t really want to stay where I’m at. Should I bail out and donate blood and go back to trt dose or just lower the dose to say 300 a week?

Side note....I have seen quite a few post about people having headaches like I described and nothing said about checking there pressures. Stay on top of this stuff fellas looking good does nothing if your all messed up from getting there.

I would appreciate any info fellas

You can donate blood and still stay on cycle. I've only run one cycle but thats what I did and no headache after.

Don't take high blood pressure lightly. It's a silent killer.

Giving blood is a great idea. Also make sure to watch your sodium intake and drink at least 5-6L of clean water each day.

A good overall blood pressure regulating supplement isn't a bad idea either. The board sponsor n2bm.com makes a really good product called n2guard. Check that out.

Don't take this lightly. If your blood pressure doesn't start to go down -
1. Either get off cycle and go back to your TRT
2. Get your doctor to write you a blood pressure prescription.

if my blood pressure was that high i would come off everything (yes even your TRT sorry) and i would get on n2guard at 10 caps per day

also obviously your bp was high beforehand, you need to get your heart health under control via diet and exercise.

I have a few thoughts. Have you done labs? What is your hematocrit (HCT) percentage? Donating blood would affect HCT, but not necessarily pressure.

Hypertension isn't symptomatic usually at the pressure you had, although it's possible it may even be higher. Watch for vision changes or trouble peeing. Go to the doctor if these occur.

Although 166/107 is high, a few days of higher dose testosterone should not bring it up that high. Had you had any coffee that day, or other caffeine? Nicotine? Were you relaxed? These things will bring pressure up.

Also, drug store machines aren't always well calibrated. Try a few machines, to see if your BP is consistently that high.

To get mine down and keep it that way I have to do my treadmill or jog every other days 2miles or 1x 10 min mile.

Yes trt is from the Dr. and I go in every 3 months for blood work to check everything last test was about a month and half ago and my hematocrit was 45 she said it was ok I was on trt dose for that test. No family history of high bp I don’t smoke or drink and eat pretty good. If you blood thickness and pressure are related correct? In my head I would think it’s like drinking water through a straw and then trying to drink a milkshake with a straw it would require more pressure?
I feel them most on the am when I wake up and it’s not horrible throughout the day but can tell it’s there and them feel it again about bedtime.

Aust I was also concerned about that also I usually go every few months to donate and they always check it first, gonna call my trt dr today and see if she will write me a rx to donate.

No blood thickness and pressure was all good 2 weeks before I started. I went to see my trt dr during lunch and she said go back to normal dose and gave me some high bp meds to knock out the headache and took blood again to check everything.

So hematocrit is just the percentage of red blood cells in a complete blood count sample. 45 is a normal hematocrit for a man, so you should not see dramatic elevations in blood pressure. It is true that very high hematocrits increase viscosity (resistance to flow), which in turn increases blood pressure. But other issues also affect blood pressure, such as the resistance given by blood vessels (either by hardening of the walls, or by just constriction of blood vessels), sodium levels, hydration status, and cardiac output. Many things go into it, and with a hematocrit like that, I would wonder about your other risk factors.

You usually don't need a prescription to donate blood. Just go to the red cross, or whoever else handles it locally, and take care of it. They can use the donation.

Where on your head are you getting headaches? Forehead? Scalp? Left side, right side? Behind one eye? Temple?

Good luck!

It’s sometimes on left temple eye area and sometimes base of skull neck area. It’s definitely letting me know I am messing up somewhere I should probably be doing more cardio, with work I usually walk about 6 to 8 miles a day but now fast enough to get the heart pumping good.

I asked the Red Cross why they check blood pressure and they said if it was high they would not let you donate.

Would aromison be better than the AI he is taking to lower water retention resulting in lower BP ?

better is a subjective word

aromasin is great because it is a suicide AI and it is a gentle ai with no sides. it isn't the strongest AI though, that would be letro, but stronger doesn't equal better

Thank you every one for the advice on this I really appreciate it. I will try and get the other blood results as soon as I can. Finally woke up today without a headache so hopefully it will stay gone bp is down a good bit but not normal but at least it’s heading in the right direction.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and finds themselves where they want to be when the new year rolls around.
