I work with a hardcore narcoleptic who has cataplexy as well. He swears the GHB is one of the only drugs that actually helps him from losing his mind. The guy is brilliant kind of like a mad scientist nad he swears by its effectiveness. The only problem he tells me is that it can be addictive.

The main reason the stuff isn't around is that people abused it. If you could work through the immediate sleepiness and consume alcohol apparently you'd get high, amazingly drunk or whatever. Abuse was rampant. Then some kid figured out he could get his girlfriend wasted and have sex with her while she's out, thus the date rape drug was born. As soon as some congressman got a hold of the info the stuff was banned and given the date rape title.......Guess with that logic we should ban alcohol for sure. along with ambien, Benadryl, etc as all can put someone under for a while.
As I understand GHB was invented by Dan Duchaine of the Underground Steroid Handbook fame. The stuff put you almost directly into REM sleep. You'd need to dedicate a full night to sleep but you'd wake up feeling great because of the sleep quality. Of course that was just the ticket for recovery.

Nope bro.....the idea was not to drink alcohol and you still get high and the music sounded better and you sleep like a baby.......It got banned because dumb asses drank alcohol and women got raped because of it if you want the truth.....It was an amazing sleep aid at one time IMO.......Humans found away to abuse it of course.....

We're neighbors. Its still all around town. A friend got busted for possession of ghb in front of the Spa Resort Casino last year. Actually it's 1,4-Butanediol. Its more readily available. It converts to ghb once ingested. It's a one pretty involved chemical reaction away from ghb.
No, Dan did not invent ghb. I loved reading his articles in the 90's. He is credited for the comeback and coming up with effective yet safe dnp dosing protocols by using himself as a guinea pig.
Your almost there. Sound sleep is great. Its not the refreshing feeling of good sleep, it was what happens when we are moved to REM sleep quickly and staying there. That's where and when our own natural growth hormone pulses and cascades increasing natural gh out put 2 to 3 times its normal release. That's serious iu's and the benefits of injection gh but farming it while you slept.
What was even better for sleep but didn't have the gh output increase was rohypnol. Still prescribed in Europe for sleep. It's a schedule 1 drug here with no medicinal purpose.
GHB was a schedule 1 until the fda approved a brand of ghb for treating rare cases of narcolepsy that don't respond to the usual treatments. It was removed from schedule 1 and believe it found a home with the schedule 2 drugs such as oxycodone, Fentanyl, Adderall(amphetamine) and others that are said to have highly addictive properties.

Back in the day supplements stores carried Invigorate, Rejuvenate etc.. They were brands of G, I used to use them on a nightly basis for years, it was the best, deepest sleep I've ever had. I would wake up feeling soooo refreshed and energized and with a positive mood, it was great. During that period I was also the leanest I've ever been, due to increase in GH release. As with all good things, people abused it and it was banned in 2002-2003, I believe.

It is. One of the best sleeping aids i ever took in my entire life. Put it in a cup, mix it with water, and drink.
Too bad it is very addictive and easy to get off the broken path on.
