maybe cut pre-log questions

2G2B

V.I.P.
EVO Logger
Howdy Evo gang, initially was just swinging buy to source some reta but got lost in all the logs and threads and information you've accumulated here.

I was just planning on running 2.5mg reta/week for the second half of my cutting phase but have seen some other interesting potential additions being mentioned, mainly SLU and MOTS-C and have been trying to lock down whether or not they're worth it, or in the case of MOTS dosing since without more human trials the internet is all over the place in terms of what people are taking.

I am creeping ever closer to 30 and finally the list of things I'm sick of regarding my weight got the best of me and now we're on a journey to kill that person and see who comes out the other side.

Some very general information, start of the year I hit my heaviest point of 120 kg, since then the first part of the year I did my first ever cut with mainly resistance training down to 99kg (first time being under 100 in about 10+ years so stoked about that already).
I initially ran a cycle of cardarine and ostarine for 6ish weeks early on because I was getting my ass whooped by fatigue and found it useful at the time.
Managed to lock in (kinda) sleep, hydration and diet somewhat to stop working against me, i'm sure none of this is optimal but given where we've come from its huge for me so far.

Coming from a position of a very very notorious binge eater to where we are now has been a journey already.

Starting the second phase of the cut concluding a maintenance re-feed period, the routine I'm easing into so far has been split into 2 sections a day

60 minutes fasted zone 2 cycling in the morning

and

20 minutes zone 2 cycling warm up
120-150 minutes resistance training following general pointers from a trainer.

shoot for 2,000 kcal a day optimizing for protein and do my best with my current budget.

so my goal is to cut hard and work as hard as I can to minimize lean mass losses.

a lot of words to just ask whether or not in my position the people in the know would recommend me adding either compound to my plan or to steer clear.

Retatrutide alone is a great compound. It's really all you need to help drop some fat.
Start dosing at 1mg/wk though. Run that for at least 4-5 weeks so you can acclimate to it. Once you feel it's not controlling appetite sufficiently then move to 2mg/wk and so on. More is not better here.
Make sure you get a log going so we can assist you in reaching your goals!!

We sound like we sharing a similar journey brother and its seems like you know where you want to be. One thing i will say and this is coming from someone who has just dropped 35kg and still trying to cut, dont play all your cards at the same time. You need to leave yourself options to add when things slow down, as in your calories are already low for your bodyweight, though im not sure where your body fat % is currently either. Regardless if your trying to retaing as much muscle as you can, without the use of aas, you need to understand you will lose muscle and your calories dont really have anywhere to go much less then where there are.
So 1, you have already dropped calories.
2, your cardio and expenditure is already high.
3, now your adding the reta.
Dont add in the slu and mots c straight away.
Just run your current approach with the reta and then as you feel things start to slow, add either the slu, then if your feel it slows again then add the mots c ontop. Running everything from the start leaves you nothing left to add after, hope this makes sense brother wishing you all the best.

welcome to the EVO family @2G2B :D happy to see you made a huge change in your life, and it's not easy to drop that weight or stop eating a lot, you did it right.

It's hard to really give you guidance since we don't know what your base is like.
Can you share pics of you face blurred, so we can see your base, that would help a lot.

Retatrutide is a good choice and I think in your case one of the best, but if you have no mass might be an issue.

Thank-you for the feedback, absolutely happy to titrate up instead of trying to go full speed off the line, glad I posted and asked for feedback instead of trying to just take in information and sources that might not have had my specific use case in mind and might have been advice geared towards people who have already ran GLP agonists before or for people switching to reta from existing GLPs.

Absolutely makes sense, thank-you for your wisdom.
Always better to be starting out with more cards up my sleeve just incase.
I just get caught up in the whirlwind of stacking and trying to go to hard, posting and getting feedback will always be a great outlet to ground me back to reality.

God I wish I was a 98kg lean, sadly it looks like mostly fluff still, trying to sort out some food/training/status stuff to try start a more comprehensive post around Monday.
