Anyone use needle filters when pulling from ampules

I never do ... however , I always use a drawing needle

Wouldn't a drawing needle be worse. A bigger gauge would allow glass shards into the syringe

No, because if you broke the ampoule correctly, you don't need a filter.

Now, if you've splintered the ampoule, it's best to throw it away and open another.

The filter I use only when I make or dilute the drug and I need to change the containers.

I was just about to say the same thing... break the Amps right and you will not need a filter .

Filters shouldn't be needed. If you're new at opening the ampules, you can buy an ampule opener. Most of your hospital supply places have them and they open it clean.

No. I tend to let things settle and make sure by watching that I'm not drawing up glass etc etc

we put dirty water and beverages in our mouths all day, we touch dirty shit everywhere, we go to filthy gyms, use public bathrooms

yet we worry about this stuff like it will kill us. it is out of hand. when do you ever hear about someone getting an infection from steroid use? the few times you do it really wasn't an infection, just an allergic reaction where the doctor sent the person home with antibiotics when it wasn't even necessary

My having written "Yeah! But shards o' glass give me a hard-on" was my way of saying - Don't worry about it. You stand a better chance of becoming the next Arnold than you do of injecting glass.

I'm of the opinion that it's always better to be overly cautious. I think using a needle filter is a great idea

I have never used one but I typically stick to vials.
