Prior Service? Where, when , what branch.

You know out of my 21 years in the Navy never got my sea legs...All my sea tour were in the desert. Goes to say you can join the Navy and never step foot aboard a ship. Lol

Damn, I thought that was a right of passage....lol....
Same with the Army....most of the time its a "hey you" occupation. They put you where they need you

1992 - 1997 USMC, Washington DC and Hawaii. Got our as an E5. Loved it. Wish I had stayed in. Would be retired now. Thanks to all that have served.

Nope. Living proof. That's a good thing about being a Corpsman you can do a career and never see a ship. Needs of the Navy....Im pretty sure it's the same in all branches. Much respect to all who served regardless of reason, rank and , TIS...Be proud of what you accomplished

2nd Reconnaissance Battalion USMC. OPER Desert Storm/Shield
Hoorah!!! Gimme a 50 cal any day. I'll take anyone's 6.

I bet I still got a "go, no go" gauge laying around..

Unfortunatelly, for family reasons I did not have the chance to engage into the military. But I would love to do so though, because I always respected those who served.

I wanted to be a doctor in the military, probably army. I had it all lined up but I decided to get into the damn financial field instead because I was tired of being poor all my life and didn't want to do another 10 years of school.

it can be a great career, once you get in your 20 years you can live off uncle sam for life with the benefits.

just make sure you either use it to excel your education or you do college first. education is very very important and needs to be your #1 goal!!! all you younger dudes listen close to this tip
