Protein shake question

I really like to add into my post-workout protein shake some coffee along with the protein, bcaa and creatine. Do you think the coffee will fit in well there? Does it interact well with the other compounds?

I think protein shakes can help supplement our daily protein requirements, but they really are not indispensable for profit.

The only thing I don't like about using coffee with your post-workout shake is the caffeine content of the coffee.

I am not sure what time of day you workout but caffeine has a half life of 6 hours. Caffeine will effect most people's sleep if it's consumed after 2pm. I would use decaf coffee instead.

Another thing you could do is switch to a coffee flavoured protein. Check out the coffee espresso isolation from n2bm.com. It's a pure whey isolate and tastes awesome.

The protein shake looks good. Obviously, post-workout protein has its advantages, as it will get digested much faster than regular food. However, it is not an obligatory part of one's diet, and you can also just have a good meal.

Regarding your particular protein - I would not mix such a shake with coffee, because creatine's effects get stunted by caffeine. So either remove creatine from there, of the coffee.

Not anything worth a mention (a tiny bit). Plus Creatine was originally tried in tea (see how it became a sports supplement).

I would, however, question using a protein shake AND BCAA? Most proteins are high in BCAA so you're just doubling up unnecessarily.

not sure why you would want coffee post workout unless you are working out first thing in the morning

I get it if you are putting it in there for flavor but if you are adding a full cup I would say its not worth it. You could also get a coffee flavoured protein powder like Columbian Espresso whey to build muscle from n2bm. Great taste, quality, and is very affordable.
