Robolics now using Moneygram only

Due to the many problems with WU that are out of the control of Robolics, they are now using Moneygram. To those bros who have been unable to pay recently because of WU, you WILL get a free vial for the hassle of changing your transaction from WU to moneygram. Robolics has virtually come to a halt because of all the WU issues and it is very inconvenient for everyone involved to make this switch but it has to be done. We hope everyone understands and can have just a little patience. Thank you

Heres the short version of WU problems:
1. Fail to waive ID by WU clerks
2. Have to show ID for orders over $300 (thats way fucking low, moneygram starts at $899). This forces the sender to make two transactions of $299 or less.
3. Flagged for no reason and you have to call to figure it out but its gotta be related to using a name too many times. How many times is too many? Who the fuck knows. Robo changes names and test questions every week and there are at least 50 names so there has never been a repeat once that name is used for a week. However this week there were a couple that were immediately flagged using a new name from the start.
4. After being flagged for whatever reason, we just change the receiver name and pray.
5. After WU rep (actual rep, not fuckstick grocery store clerk) reassures transaction is good to go, it is still held once we go to pick it up. Too many of these results in number 6 below
6. If there is too many failures to collect the money, for any of the above reasons no matter who said what, the transaction is held and sender or receiver or both must call WU to get interrogated. Easier to get a refund and redo.
 
Hopefully more sources will make this move as well I've never used money gram but I'm sick of getting the runaround from western union

I was on my way through to the end of the thread and was about to say exactly this ... down her in South Africa NOBODY trusts anyone who requests WU as a method of payment because of all the fraud the Nigerians and Somalis commit using them.

MG has various things they ask and it varies by location it seems. Weve already been to several and at one the automated system asked us to punch in the location code on a sticker on the phone. We will try to gather as much of this sort of info as possible to include it as a "just in case they ask" item on the moneygram instructions Robo sends
 
Money gram asked why I was sending the money, how I know the person, and Did the receiver have a photo ID, had I ever met them in person? Oh and what was the money for. I am on the red phone having to answer all these questions out loud. Not fun. And they needed id.
Ps. This was Not for robo products.

I've had those same WU issues on 3/11 of my gear orders - annoying, takes 24 hours for WU to release funds if they hold the transaction, makes cash flow difficult if you are ordering big

Seriously? I went to Walmart and all I did was fill out a form, hand it to customer service, and they punched it in the computer. Totally painless transaction and very fast.

Theres some variation between the types of locations that carry moneygram.
We cant give every possible scenario because the policies for XYZ corner store in Portland Oregon might be different from ABC corner store in St. Louis MO, which are both different than Walmart and CVS. Just find one that is the easiest and try to stick to that. Just like anything else this is a learning process.

I do like the fact that you deal directly with the MG agent on the phone first, so by the time you waited in line to see the clerk, its all GTG. I hated filling out WU forms, waiting in line, getting to the clerk just to have the clerk throw their hands up and say I gotta call WU to figure it out.

If someone tells you "you should try robolics they're legit as fuck" that's not the same as being referred if you were truly referred you wouldn't have to pm anyone because you would already have all the info you need that's what a referral is

MG was way more painless than WU. WU says money in minuets, then they make you call, then they tell me a person will be contacting me in 2 hours or by email. Too much of a headache, what happened to getting the funds in minuets?
