sarms1 Issue

Anyone ordered recently from sarms1?

Why is [email protected] asking me for "Please also send us front and back of the debit/credit cards along with ID proofs of the cardholders (such as driving license or passport)." Are they out of their mind, or is this a fake/hacked address?

From what I have understood, this is a one time only thing. Just mark out all but the last 4 on your CC and SS on your ID.

This has happened to a couple of my clients before as well. It's nothing to worry about. SARMS1.com is just doing their checks and balances to prevent credit card fraud.

They just want to make sure that you are the actual owner of the credit card and you aren't using a stolen card. Just send them a photo of your ID with your credit card (black out the numbers of your credit card except the last 4).

If the email is coming from [email protected] - it is a legit sarms1.com email.

brother they ask you to black out the 8 digits in middle...just prove that its your card...you got nothing to worry about brother...thats standard procedure for many places....

sarms1 is selling you a product but the processing company is the one who wants that info, it is to protect against chargebacks or fraud which is getting ridiculous on the internet.

it is no different than going to a restaurant and handing the waiter your card. he leaves, checks it to make sure all is good, swipes it, and comes back with it.

This happened to me also and i did everything they said....got my orders with no problems and none of my cards have been messed with at all....just black out what u need to

I have never heard of this practice and would caution against it. Sending pics of your cards over the internet just reaks of potential issues. Not that Sarms1 is scamming its just if that photo were to be seen or hacked there goes your identity. There has to be another way to confirm your card, I would ask them for an alternative solution personally.

bro what are you saying? ton of places ask for card images blacked out...90% of online transactions now require proof of cards...this aint amazon right brother....black out the middle 8 digits how would that be scammed? brother IT doesnt work like that...blocking the middle digits makes the photo proof of card ownership...no possible way to lose the card...and s1 already has all their info, card/billing/shipping etc...so wont be an issue brother....

It's actually a pretty common practice done by online websites to prevent credit card fraud. I have had it happen to me many times by major companies like Fedex, Nike, Apple etc. when purchasing large orders online for the first time.

If you have never ordered from the website before and place a large order, they are just doing their checks and balances to make sure you are actually the one who owns the card.

it is the payment processing company that gets this info, not the company itself

it is no different than going to a restaurant and handing your card over to the kid waiter. he could go in the back and photo your card same way, but he knows better because they would easily track any issues back to him. that is the payment processing firms job to keep the customer secure.

I've purchased many things online as we all have. I just have never heard of this practice and it would give me pause. Once a company or individual had a picture of your card they can go on to do the same thing and send it along saying "yea here you go here's proof it's mine I have a photo". That's just what came to mind when I heard that.

brother...i dont get it...the thread says they want you to BLACK OUT (block out) the middle 8 digits of your card...they are not saying send the card as is...if you review the thread again, ive already pointed that out...the only thing you would show is last 4 digits of the card, that's NOT going matter to get passed along....nothing to pass along brother....s1 has been here for over 5 years, they are 110% trusted....

brother ive ordered ton of times from different places especially hosting etc that require proof of purchase, card picture and ids etc...bro these days its normal....

I think this is also the case when your shipping order exceeds a certain monetary amount. So in order to make sure you are using your own card, they want to check it.

Just blur our the important info and you should be okay.
