as a beginner should you wait until you tone up a bit before taking any protein shakes or pre-workout supplements?

Also how long before you workout should you take pre-workout supplements?
 
I use HGH and test at first, I am also a beginner

To op, protein. Shakes are fine for anyone, as long as it's not filled with fillers, sugar and artificial crap. You cant depend on proteinshakes to lose fat or gain muscle, that starts at the dinner table and the gym entrance
 
you do not need to take pre workouts or protein powder to workout

just like how these morons think you need steroids to bodybuild. you don't.

to build muscle you need to get on a good workout program and stick to it, the gains will come depending on your genetics.
 
I feel that everyone, regardless if they are an athlete or not should be taking -
Vitamin D
Fish oil
Probiotics
Greens powders and a fiber supplement (depending on diet)
