Ground Bison + some vegies, cooked in avocado oil and some spices and tomatoes on a bed of 50 grams of rice.
I cooked a pound (all I had) kept half of it for tomorrow.

Super good workout. I didn't feel the pump as much, but in the change room after the workout i looked damn swol in my undies 😂

I would write all about it but that's maybe a post for jujitsu form if one exists....My legs are jelly and calves are in good pain from leg locks, arms are also strained but we got it done!

Will get an arms workout in today. Hopefully that's good too!
Brother you can log whatever you wish on Evo as long as it's within the parameters that the bosses and moderators set. Pretty sure BJJ is safe 🙂🩵

So, Wednesday i was shit at it. Was already depleted, tired n broken. I kindda wrote a bit about it here briefly.

So what i did yesterday was my chest day, no jujitsu and ate beef n some pasta as i posted it too. uped my carbs a bit. Slept good too. N then in the morning i had beef n pasta again and a protein bar (posted that too) n i was feeling alright today.

Went in thinking i am gonna try my best again today.

Got paired up with this super good competitive purple n brown belt guy, both i have rolled with before, they are super strong and technically at a superior lever than most i have rolled with.

So we started light worked thru stuff and almost 15 mins in we were drilling live, hitting submissions n all. And i felt good energy, nothing hurt other than some sore legs from leg locks, and then when rolling, me and the other purple started 1st, i defended a bunch of darce and anaconda chokes, a few arm locks and then he went for the legs and i was fully focuses and i got him in a heel hook, as we were going for legs anyways. @HarleyGuy gonna be pissed at my heel hooks 🤣 in all honesty i did try straight ankle locks but these taller dudes have way too much leverage there. HEEL HOOKS FOR THE WIN!

So that felt good. Then i rolled with the brown, twice, he got me once with a rnc but his goal was the triangle, i kindda dared him, i defended most of the time and basically could not attack him atall. Tried playing offense but couldn't, however my defense was great! And then at the end i took his back but he is so tall n strong i couldn't retain for too long and he took my back. Got me with rnc.

2nd round with him he kindda gave me his back again so i could work after i got out from under him, and then i tried to go for a calf slicer to berimbolo but he reversed it so good and i had never seen that, i told him that and he basically spend the next 15-20 mins after class showing me how it is done. It was great!

Awesome bro, told ya youd do better next time. I had a bro back in college that started with BJJ and went into muay thai after. O didnt do BJJ, but i rolled with him because im 6'3.5" so he could practice on tall guys. Fun stuff.

Yeah jujitsu is super fun. I used to compete in mma and still love striking but i guess the time for me to compete in mma is gone so i should focus on grappling and compete since i want to.

Anything goes with TOS and within reason. We have a member posting screen shots of texts with his girl and asking advice about whether he thinks she's cheating etc. EVO is a family and you put what you want in your log. You said this a while ago and you're still finding it hard to hit 200g eh? If you check Costco they sell Premier Protein pretty cheap, case of 18 is $40 bucks and each is 30g of protein. You could down one of those ED and be hitting the 200g.

Scenario 3: 3 days jujitsu (with a potential 1 extra day for open mat/sparring) + 2 days on 2 days off weights (higher weight Upper lower split) + 1 day swimming practice.

I try n mix it all up so i dont get tired/feel bored of the food and stay relatively clean.
I have zero emotionally relationship with food. I try to maintain complete boredom and zero attachment to it. I now have zero sweet tooth or desire for anything 'junky'. Getting bored can be good if you wanna get diced.

Saw n drilled a bot with an extremely well purple belt, he was keeping this brown belt at bay and man i was already envious... Also couldn't perform well, gassed and low on energy. My body as well as mind were just not with me... felt shitty for not being able to do good.
I think this day was just an off day you're allowed to have one... have there been any more of these with the low carbs?

Nah, they're good to practice because in a real fight you can heal hook while biting his big toe off too :p. Just ease off your lever hand and don't pull up too hard as you know.

This is how I got my black belt, in a competition. I was at NAGA World's in 2005 in Atlantic City and got 4th (hard to believe that was 2 decades ago). I have a picture on my phone somewhere of 29-year old HarleyGuy getting his hand raised. I'll try and find it if you want. When all my shit is out of storage I'll post the trophy I still have.

I was away so couldn't reply. Got back yesterday and rested. Back to the grind now. The only "BAD" think I had on the trip was icecream and yet came back home with lower weight. Ofc I was hiking a bit and not eating alot so I guess that what it was. and yes my protein was good.

Nice update brother, have you considered moving training to a PPL or Upper/Lower rather than what looks to be a bro split?
I am thinking about it to be honest. I have done PPL and Upper/lower both in the past, just feel like bro split works better for me. but it could be cause I wasn't too efficient at planning those and always had bro splits in my head.

Not for over 3 weeks no... even longer I'd say. In the past month and a half. My carbs have stayed below 100 for most days.
on sunday make some white rice and eat at least 300g carbs of rice and at least 50grams of carbs from oatmeal to start @zucchini protein try to do very low fat protein source like chicken breast fish

Ok coles notes: you need a carb refeed to replenish glycogen in the muscles and get them full and hard. Moreover, you need to kickstart your metabolism with a carb refeed because low carbs at your extreme has leptin holed up in your fat cells waiting to pounce. Carbs are best at producing an insulin response which frees up this leptin in your fat cells. This in turn tells your body "holy shit there's all this food available so I better wake the f*ck up and get this engine started" and will (temporarily) increase metabolism and get the furnace turned up. The key then is to go back to low carb/calorie shortly after so you leave your system hanging feeling like it got duped and meanwhile you just hustled it's ass out of a free metabolic spike and you gain the benefits of the glycogen from the carbs shuttling (mostly) all into the muscle cells. It's like tricking your body and could be the equivalent of revving the engine on your car and using more gas but then taking your foot off the gas and then cooking an egg on the hood while your neighbour curses you because there's a power outage and he has no heat or hydro. Jujitsu was good today, only 5 people including me (cause of the cold - pussy's are at home) so a good focused slow paced class.
Ate some chicken today before jujitsu - now back at work and will hit back or legs after work tonight.
