Milos NEVER used an IV during a workout. It's a misunderstanding of his (I read this YEARS ago) depletion and loading protocol for maximizing the response to GH use.
He had athletes do giant sets. That depleted glycogen stores. At that time they'd then load, towards the end of the workouts and just after, a water and specific kind of (one brand only) apple sauce (yep - but there are now better options). It's also mis-understanding of, in a HUGE way, IM, IV and intra. One is an injection into the muscle (IM), one into a vein and one just means 'during'.
It's up there with using BCAA's or EAA's (both sell and make money for supplement companies) added to an Intra (most here, as can be seen, just sip water) drink. They both add next to nothing for 99% of users. IF you're crazy depleted, say very close to stage condition and on a super restricted diet then you MIGHT benefit from a little faster workout recovery and or retention of muscle tissue. You have to remember the little bit of science that supports their use was done with FASTED athletes.
A few here have made their own intra drinks. Like water (300-500ml), 10g (max) carbs, 5g creatine (that's a daily dose) and a few g (1-2) of sodium. IF depleted 5g BCAA or EAA OR 5-10g Glutamine. And you're still looking a VERY small difference to the overall outcome
