Boom!! Amazing new log drop brother! This is exactly what I was talking about in our DM's! Really pumped to have you on board and in the EVO family.2026 Recomp (maybe weight loss first) / Lean Bulk Log
Current Stats/History
Want to start out by saying I’m pretty new to all this and don’t have a fucking clue what I’m doing compared to some people on here but I’m constantly trying to learn more and increase my knowledge every day and am open to any and all feedback anyone cares to give, it’s all appreciated and needed to progress. I’m starting a log after some pushing from @HarleyGuy and @LevButlerov, so shout out to them, and especially @HarleyGuy for taking the time to answer my dm’s and help me sort this out.
- History: I was 215 lbs in Jan. 2023 (photos below) after living my late 20's and early 30's like an asshole, went on a 5 month mission to lose weight and got down to about 160 lbs (photos below) and went up and down a little from there, working out at home and doing some cardio, then at some point in early 2024 joined a gym and have been going ever since but only got serious about tracking workouts and lifts in 2026. In 2025 I got my blood work done for TRT and my test was 3.8 nmol/L, so I made the call to just get on TRT as there wasn't much hope of making a meaningful increase naturally. I'm a Type 1 diabetic and have been since I was 15 years old. Also have psoriatic arthritis but have that completely under control now.
- Current Stats (photos below):
- Age: 39
- Height: 5’-6”
- Weight: 155lbs
- Estimated Body Fat: 18-20%
- Training Experience: 2-3 years (1/2 a year tracking lifts and progression)
- TRT or Previous Cycle History: TRT for a little over a year with some TRT+ moments but not “real” cycles to speak of.
Goals (looking for some help here)
- Main goal: I’m looking to the more experienced loggers for help here, whether I should cut on TRT (175mg a week at the moment) to 10-12% and then run a cycle and slow bulk, or run a re-comp cycle, eating around maintenance calories trying to get my BF% down while maintaining my weight and then bulk down the road.
- Target body fat: 10-12%
- Target weight: 170lbs after cutting down and then bulking and cutting again ideally. I know this will take some time and maybe need to break up my goals but that’s the long term vision.

I’ll check out @Shakey ‘s log and that’s how I’m leaning just a slow cut while trying to build some muscle until I get down to where I want to be then turn things up a notch and slowly mass up to avoid a fat rebound. To answer one of your questions, cut down first, get lean, check @Shakey log, he did that really well

Thanks man, definitely want to lean out a lot more before pushing the gear and food up, give myself some run way to build. Just debating the aggressive approach or a slower burn, or maybe some high and low days to keep me going. Been dieting for a long ass time on and off and had to take a maintenance break for about a month so just getting going again using the steps and lowering the carbs.@abaltered excellent work on this. The physique looks fantastic. I think you got room to continue to improve. I would like to see you lean out a bit more. That would be perfect.
Being a type 1 diabetic and being able to be an athlete is definitely a challenge but we see so many athletes out there who deal with it. @abaltered2026 Recomp (maybe weight loss first) / Lean Bulk Log
Current Training Split (Workouts are in the morning)
- Legs (Quad focused)
- Pull (Lat width focused)
- Push (Chest Focused)
- Legs (Ham/Post focused)

- Rest
- Cardio: 15-30 minutes after lifting at 120-125 BPM heart rate, mostly incline treadmill
- Daily Steps fall in the 12K-17K range depending on work that day.
Diet / Macros
- Calories: 2000-2200

Log Plan
- Weekly check-ins
- Weight updates
- Strength progression
- Side effects
- Physique changes
- (anything else that comes up worth tracking or is suggested I track)
When you say recomp, do you mean like a slight deficit or eat maintenance with the added compounds and let the body sort it out? Would some carb cycling be a good idea or just lower the carbs until needing refeeds?I would start with a light recomp, thinking Test Eq anavar or winstrol combowith GLP1 like retatrutide with cardio and more pushing of low carbs
I posted my average macros as of current but I only recently kick started the diet so I’ll keep the updates coming. Training I’m logging in the Hevy app so I’ll figure out a way to post those as I go, and all my food is tracked in Macro factor, is it best to post a screen shot of daily calories and macros or actual food items?Diet, please share foods and meals and when you eat them, macros would be good
Training, please share actual exercises reps sets and weights, as you go especially get stronger
cardio how much do you do? when etc
If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Or use an app like myfitness pal or cronometer. Very easy.
Taking 1000mg vit C daily, 10grams creatine, 2 Allmax men’s multis daily am/pm, and 8 grams psyllium husk daily. No digestive enzymes or supple or probiotics outside of what’s in the foods I eat. Something to look into I guess. Are you taking high doses Vitamin C?
how much creatine do you use ed?
what digestive supps you use?
digestive enzymes?
multis?
probiotics?
psyllium husk?
appreciate it man, getting after again after a little diet break where I fluffed up a little more than I would have liked, onward though. Fuck yeah!Looks like you got a good base to start with bro! Excited to follow along, im stripping weight before I bulk to. Log plan looks great, its all up from here![]()
Yeah there’s some fucking legends out there and a lot of type 1 athletes I look up to, managing the day to day blood sugars and insulin is easier with lifting and food tracking then without it to be honest. Still got those days where I want to put my head through a wall but I got no choice but to keep on going.Being a type 1 diabetic and being able to be an athlete is definitely a challenge but we see so many athletes out there who deal with it. @abaltered
Nice that you're not using it as an excuse. The fact is we all have our own drawbacks with our health. Any suggestions on dosages/ratios to start off with? Also I’ll add it to one of my updates but I’m on a prescription of trizepitide through my endo for my type 1, keeps the blood sugars easier to control and the food noise down.Test Eq anavar or winstrol combowith GLP1 like retatrutide

@abaltered Bros, hell yeah, diet is crucial. You should check out my log and see I was able to lean out beautifully just by adjusting my diet.appreciate it man, getting after again after a little diet break where I fluffed up a little more than I would have liked, onward though. Fuck yeah!
Appreciate it man, the community here is a notch above, just here to learn and grow and get lean!I love this attitude brother! You're going to go far here on EVO you are cut from the 'zero fucks given' cloth and I like it. Psoriasis and Type 1, screw it keep moving forward. Good for you bro!
Welcome wholeheartedly to the family!
Appreciate the advice, this is the current approach, so unless I stall out or something I’m going to continue the cut sustainably and see how low I can get and let the people here give feedback on when it’s time to transition to a gaining phase.I should cut on TRT (175mg a week at the moment) to 10-12% and then run a cycle and slow bulk
This. Diet / cut on the TRT. It'll prep your body for gains
I’m taking 2.5mg-3.5mg of trizepitide (mounjaro) a week depending on if I’m eating maintenance or in a deficit.wait how much GLP1s you taking of each? @abaltered
Onward we go, thanks for the support man!Great job man. I see the differences in your pictures. @abaltered I still think you have room to improve from here. Just keep grinding.
Tirzepatide is a great option but it's a double agonist, which is really good. Eventually you're going to want to graduate to retatrutide, which is a triple agonist instead. @abalteredI’m taking 2.5mg-3.5mg of trizepitide (mounjaro) a week depending on if I’m eating maintenance or in a deficit.
Any brand and dose anyone would recommend? I’ll do a little digging myself but open to suggestions.add digestive enzymes ed they are worth it![]()
God damn! Bro’s a fucking unit! Good work man, some major inspiration to get the fuck after it today! Getting some fasted cardio before I smash a push day this morning.@abaltered Bros, hell yeah, diet is crucial. You should check out my log and see I was able to lean out beautifully just by adjusting my diet.
Yeah I’ve been debating trying Reta just get the trizep for pretty cheap through insurance, my endo hooked it up for type 1 management so I get a 70mg pen for like 200 bucks, and it works pretty good for food noise. Also have some concerns over how the glucagon agonist in Reta will affect type 1 management. Going to talk to my endo about it soon and get his take.Tirzepatide is a great option but it's a double agonist, which is really good. Eventually you're going to want to graduate to retatrutide, which is a triple agonist instead. @abaltered
you're in what country? usually NOW or any other generic brands carry same digestive enzymes @abalteredAny brand and dose anyone would recommend? I’ll do a little digging myself but open to suggestions.
your a1c was taken faster or not?Got some blood work yesterday, standard diabetic panel with my total test added for the purpose of testing @OxygenPharm Test E after 3 ish weeks. Posted a full review on the @OxygenPharm page, but their product and customer service is on another level, found my go to source! After being burned in the past it’s refreshing to see a good lab with good service, janoshik and getting the blood work to confirm it. Anything outside of range seems somewhat normal from my research but the MCV is new for me, wondering if anyone thinks it’s a concern or if any ancillary’s would help with It?

Yes that's exactly how it works. He’s a solid endo as far as they all go but yeah might be a nothing convo in the end, they seem to not be into anything that isn’t approved even if it’s established.Let us know if he's even heard of Reta![]()
I had some mild anemia before I started TRT, just under the reference range but TRT fixed that.It is outside of range and on the high end but I don't think you should be alarmed. Have you ever been diagnosed with anemia? Your bloods in general looked good all considering and all the markers out of range (slightly) are expected on a high TRT dose.
I honestly slipped up a little this week, hit all my workouts and pushed to failure but my tracking was a bit shit as I was definitely weaker with starting the cut versus maintaining but I’ll log everything and post it this week, thanks for the reminder man!Your log is almost entirely complete bro can we get some training posted up with some weights as well?
Yeah I defiantly needed a push to get going again and this community has been awesome man. Thanks again for all the support.Bro we just lit a fire in you that was already there, it's all you brother let's keep this going!!

@albaltered nice start to the log. A lot of great information brother. Can’t wait to see you get after it.2026 Recomp (maybe weight loss first) / Lean Bulk Log

Should I lower the carbs to compensate or do you think just upping the protein won’t effect the fat loss enough to matter? Guess I’ll up it and just watch the scale. Thanks for the advice man.100s on leg curls a winbut lets push protein to 220 please

I used keto diet as a reference, low carb, high fat, try to hit your maintenance calories, high protien. Thanks boss!

I’m using macro factor at the moment, was using my fitness pal but the wife started using macro factor and it’s a game changer for sharing the recipes and foods we make at home. I’ve tried keto and carnivore in the past and it definitely helped for kicking off the fat loss but when trying to push the weight lifting numbers up my performance in the gym just falls flat after a couple weeks without 150-200 carbs minimum a day.I used keto diet as a reference, low carb, high fat, try to hit your maintenance calories, high protien.
Do you have the chronometer app? It made it alot easier for me, plus you can log your supplements with it
I try to keep my carbs to post workout out meal, I work out in the morning fasted, just coffee, creatine and water before my workout. Yeah I had the same issue with the bloating too when I was doing that. I found some fibre added to the carnivore days helped with the bloating a little. For me and managing the ol blood sugars with Type 1 I find if I carb cycle to aggressively it just fucks me up more then if I do like 150-300 carbs swings but eventually I’d like to figure out how to push the real high carb days when I shift to a bulk phase.I try to keep my carbs to post workout out meal, I work out in the morning fasted, just coffee, creatine and water before my workout. When I started the fasting schedule I had a pretty difficult time with my lifts for a week or 10 days ish.
I try to do 1 carnivore day on the weekend but it usually leaves me bloated, havent really figured that out why yet, probably need to split my carnivore days into 4 or 5 meals instead of 2-3. The day after carnivore my morning work out isnt great, so I agree some carbs are necessary
I take psyllium husk for fiber but carnivore days still make me a little bloated and sluggish lolYeah I had the same issue with the bloating too when I was doing that. Are you wanting it just for pre workout or for another reason?@LevButlerov @HarleyGuy and anyone else who has an opinion, what are your thoughts on adding like 20mg of anavar 1 hour pre workout? Is there a better dosing schedule, and would that amount on top of my 175mg of test be a good starting point or should it be higher? Or maybe too soon to really se
lol it’s no match for the meat!
Fuck I was writing that out to post on a separate post on my page and somehow it ended up before my reply to you incomplete lol. I was just thinking about next steps as I keep dropping weight and want to have a little extra push, whether adding like 20mg of anavar a day is a good call, or better to go with Mast or a dryer injectable to add on, and if 20mg’s is a good starting point to add on to 175mg of test a week. Also wondering if there’s a benefit in 20mg pre workout or am I better to split the dosing to am/pm. Also like and am considering the 5mg daily cialis that oxygen is selling too.Are you wanting it just for pre workout or for another reason?
If you want a great pump, half a cialis and add a teaspoon of Celtics or baha gold sea salt to a liter of water and chug it back 45mins to an hour before your work out. Thats been my favorite pre workout so far
I use 10mg of var preworkout about half the time but will be moving to 20mg preworkout sublingual and 40mg total daily by end of June. Anavar is the most underrated oral steroid in my opinion and can be very effective. Try it and report back here.@LevButlerov @HarleyGuy and anyone else who has an opinion, what are your thoughts on adding like 20mg of anavar 1 hour pre workout? You have it on hand now yes?
Yes for sure just let it sit there so that it's done about 30 mins before workout so pop it under the tongue about an hour before.Sublingual, like let it dissolve under the tongue?
yes correctSublingual, like let it dissolve under the tongue?
Yes for sure just let it sit there so that it's done about 30 mins before workout so pop it under the tongue about an hour before.
Don't be all impatient like @Shakey and end up just swallowing it, let it sit there for a half hour and forget it's even there, almost all of it will dissolve.
Sounds like high-school againyes correct![]()
Check this one out for all the answers bro. @stevesmi and @Mobster nail this exact question in detail!Sounds like high-school again
Whats the benefits to that over swallowing it? Blood stream absorption and not being destroyed by stomach acid im guessing?
I am going to be adding this to my higher TRT dose in a couple weeks once my next blood work is done but I’m going thinking of just running it 20mg split twice a day then going up to 40mg split. 8’week run. But I can attest to @BertaBoy and say Celtic salt works wonders for pumps. I throw it in my pre work and intra workout daily. Even post shake if I sweat a lot lol. Plus cialis I do 2.5-5mg eod. It’s not timed released so you can take it whenever.@LevButlerov @HarleyGuy and anyone else who has an opinion, what are your thoughts on adding like 20mg of anavar 1 hour pre workout? Sorry for me miss understanding, are you saying add 20mg anavar and double my test dose? I’ve been using Morton’s lite salt, it’s half sodium/ half potassium, heard Big Paul talk about it on his podcast, but I’ll give that a try too. Thanks @BertaBoy and @Mattnadz !But I can attest to @BertaBoy and say Celtic salt works wonders for pumps.
Thanks man, that means a lot. The internet is a horribly toxic place, social media is trash and designed to invoke a negative response and is horrible for your attention span, other bodybuilding communities have some good people and some assholes at different ratios. Here at EVO I havent seen a single asshole, its all love. Everyone here wants everyone here to be at their best and to get there safely. Thanks man, that means a lot. Absorption is the main reason. They make medication to put under my tongue to stop my seizures while im having one. Only problem is no one dared put there fingers anywhere near my teeth.Sounds like high-school again
