Evening all from a very wet Ireland!! 🇮🇪

I’m 45, Married to an amazing lady and father to two beautiful little girls.
Having played rugby at a decent level all my life I decided to give it up about 5 years ago.
As soon as I did the weight just ballooned. I went from a fighting weight of 100kg to 123kg in about 3 years and developed what my wife calls “a dad bod”
The only physical activity I was doing was golf…. And that’s not the most intense sport in the world. I missed the lifting and the gym culture from my rugby days so I decided to join a gym. I’m an engineer so most of my days are at a desk.
So….Week two of my new gym plan I developed an inguinal hernia. All heavy lifting had to stop. It took three months for the surgery to happen and guess what…. 6 weeks after surgery the mesh on my abdominal wall failed and I ended up back under the knife. I finally got the all clear to go back lifting in January 26 weighing in at 123kg, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, weak as a baby kitten and hating how I looked.
I hit the gym hard…..
however I couldn’t shake the lethargy, low libido and brain fog so I got my doc to do a hormonal blood panel to check my Testosterone levels. Guess what….. my total test was 5.6, clinically low as was my free T and my SHBG was way off and e2 was a bit high but in range. Did my doctor subscribe TRT? No…. He bloody didn’t. Told me to lose weight, do more cardio and see him in 3 months. So that’s what I did…. I lost 12kg between Jan and March, did more cardio and ate right, Dialled in my sleep and training and got the bloods done again. Lipids and blood pressure had improved however my test levels had gone up 0.01 on my previous blood results. Did the doc put me on TRT?…. Nope.
This is when I took matters into my own hands. I joined a men’s health clinic which is really expensive here in Ireland…who prescribed me 200mg of test cyp to be pinned once a week and an AI. A couple of weeks in I still felt like shit.
Got talking to the biggest guy in my gym who told me to ditch the AI, reduce my dose to 150mg and get my bloods done again in 8 weeks. Within a week I started feeling better. That was the first week of May 26.

As it stands now first week of June I’m 45 years old, 6’1 in height and 93kg and I’m on the following….
1.5mg of Reta a week
2mg of Tessa pinned daily
150mg a week of test cyp split into daily sub q pins.
10mg staten for lipids
200g of protein a day
10g of creatine a day
3000g of omega 3 a day

I’m lifting 5 days a week since January.
My lipids are all in range, my blood pressure is averaging at 111/66 and RHR is 62. I haven’t felt this good in 20 years. Haematocrit is stable between 45 and 48. I’ve never had to give blood.

The plan going forward to to start Blasting and cruising. I want to bury the dad bod and start looking like you guys. Going to start a test only first cycle and see where that takes me.
I’ll post some photos now.
Looking forward to hearing all your comments!!
Also I fucking love the podcast!!!

Diet…

So I’m on about 1500 calories a day until I get the BF sub 20%

Protein is 200g a day
Fat is 30g a day
Carbs are 100g a day.

I have 3 x protein shakes per day as I’m extremely busy and work long hours so they are convenient to get the protein in.
I eat a lot of ground sub 5% beef and lean chicken for my evening meals.

I have not touched alcohol since Christmas 2025 and do not smoke. My daily supplements are listed in my introductory message.

I’m really looking forward to being an active part of this community!! 🇮🇪

I'm gonna be that guy. Regardless of what happened you kept putting too much food in the hole under your nose.

Why?

Became a habit I guess mobster. There was an element of comfort eating and I could easily polish off 10-12 pints of Guinness on a night out which didn’t help. Chinese on the way home. Comfort food the next day as a hangover cure. I kept saying I’ll start getting healthy on Monday….. vicious circle my friend!!
I became lazy. Simple as that. I let myself go. I thought that natural progression for a 40 year old bloke 😕
Man was I wrong.

Just read the Log brother. Welcome to EVO and well done for taking control of your hormones and all the lifestyle changes.

I have had about 6 beers in the last 7 years but I grew up on the piss and drugs over here in Aus.
Best thing you can do is the lifestyle change you've just started, especially if you're going to be introducing Blasting.

I Highly recommend getting to know your body on TRT first before blasting some gear.
Learning what sides look like for you as their is a psychological/emotional and physical changes we get when E2 is elevated/lower - some of my earliest signs are thought and emotional patterns that tell me when to make an adjustment somewhere - It's smooth sailing after a year or two.

It will be hard if you don't know what you don't know so as you build on the knowledge things will make sense for you down the line as well.

Having @LevButlerov - AKA DAD in your corner is a good man to have. Helps me 100% on track with my food just by having him check in.
I'm also yet to see a thread he hasn't touched so he'll always be watching hahaha

Cheers Man. Appreciate the words!!

The plan is to stay on the 150mg until I get closer to 15% BF then start a blast.
I’m on the 150mg exactly 5 weeks today and feel great. I’ve bloods 🩸 booked again for the 19th of June which will be close to 8 weeks.
The main focus is to lose the fat, Try to retain as much lean mass as possible then do a blast. I think I’ll need to be about 85kg for that level of BF%.
I’ve Mots-C arriving tomorrow so planning on doing 10mg a week over 3 pins. That should hopefully, along with the Tessa move the stubborn visceral mid section fat.
Gear and peps are really tough to get over here. My orders keep getting sized. Costing me a bloody fortune 😳

Keep up with the fat loss. Definitely it's coming fast and furious. @Thewilbury make sure with those stretch marks you're applying the creams. You might want to go talk to a dermatologist or do some research because there are creams out there that will help.
GHKCU peptide does wonders for my stretch marks too 👌🏻

@Thewilbury this is going to be an incredible log. We're going to help keep you accountable. I definitely want to see your meals and I want to see you clean that up as much as possible.
Sounds good brother.
I’m logging through my fitness pal so will post daily.

Diet and sleep will do most of the heavy lifting too. Don’t underestimate it just cause we’re on PED’s as well, I can also second the KLOW.

@2Thick I’m running KLOW atm and benefits for health and beauty reasons is insane compared to GHKCU alone, it is however more expensive so starting with GHKCU If finances aren’t too great 👌🏻.

You got lots of people on this log and you just started 👌🏻 we’re both doing transformation logs, I’ll be following brother ✌🏻

Good layout as far as what you're planning on doing as far as lifting and what you're taking. Now from here it's all about consistency. Let's see how much you can improve. @Thewilbury

These are the products I’m using. Well I haven’t used the deca or primo yet but the test is Evogene pharma and the decca is Adelphi research.
Anyone got experience with these labs?
