Not cycling, just kinda confused

Eatliftsleeprepeat

Cyborg Humanoid Brother
Dylan shed some light on this for me earlier but I'm still a little confused so bare with me lol. I still don't understand why a heavier person(25%bf) that has been working out for a while and has a good diet and workout plan to use, can't take a cutting ph or steroid. If they have a good diet plan and workout plan and are healthy by blood test results. How would a cutting compound hurt them I guess is the question. Thanks for any advice guys I'm trying to learn as much as possible and love this site!

It doesn't happen that way, you can't be 25% BF and have a good diet....he's NOT healthy and no matter how long he's been working out he's not doing it right.

And I mean regular guys not something unique like the WSM guys.

The guy is me lol sorry I didn't make that clear. I'm not planning on running a cycle. But something's working because I started at 305 and I'm down to 282 just by lifting and a little cardio. I don't get how it would physically hurt me with the right protection I guess is the question and I'm not familiar with wsm guys lol sorry

If you dont have the discipline to maintain strict diet and training for an extended period of time naturally then you have no business using PEDs imo. Also when you have 25 percent bf you will have much more estrogen conversion issues and you are not likely very healthy, making it more harmful to you.

Here is why it's bad for many reasons... The first is that chances are you already have bp issues... If you don't, by taking any sort of steroid or ph, even a non methylated one, you are putting yourself at a much higher risk for problem here... Even with protection, its dangerous... You are at a MUCH HIGHER rate of estrogen conversion... You are trying to lose weight with something that is intended to put on size, regardless of its a cutting agent or not... Its not intended for a fat burner... At that body fat your conditioning and eating is terrible in every way... There's no way to be at that high of body fat and have any discipline whatsoever in what your doing... You have to develop consistency and discipline or your are only hurting yourself...

I love the fact that you want to lose weight and want to work at it but steroids or ph's are not for you... Sarms on the other hand would be a nice option and can help you to get in the right condition to use steroids...

Always helpful in everyway! Wish I could repay you! lol I will research SARMS, the little bit of research I read about says it can lead to blindness? I'll look more into tho, thanks again

LOL no bro, not even close... S4 has a yellow tint side effect but wherever you read that, the person has no concept of what they are saying... I have written articles on every aspect of sarms as well as have videos... start here bro...

If you want to get the most out of your hormones, you need to be lean enough...plain and simple. Health wise, cycles put a huge strain on your body, and being in great shape goes a long way in terms of what side effects you will experience. Compounds will convert to more estrogen, the fatter you are which opens up the higher possibility of gyno, limp dick, etc....

Bottom line...The leaner you go into a cycle, the more muscle you will gain, the lower your sides will be, the less impact it will have on your health, and the more enjoyable the experience will be.

Thanks guys I appreciate it and I will look at that. Idk how you guys are so strict on your diet though....do you ever go out to eat with friends and have a drink etc...

Yeh, I go out and have a cheat meal with my family once or twice per week. But its clean eating for me 99% of the time. Moderation is key, and most people don't know how to do that. If you eat shitty most of the time, you will look mostly shitty....plain and simple. The tighter you make your diet, the tighter you will be

i used to be out of control bro... i partied all the time and cheated often with food... once you decide what's the most important to you and you just love something like i do with fitness then you change what your doing and its not a sacrifice to you... I never cheat anymore... My main focus is my body, fitness and helping others... My discipline and dedication is what I thrive on bro... It fuels me everyday... That feeling of accomplishment and the way I feel is priceless... I have to have it everday... I wear a band on my wrist that reads "working out is my drug" and it certainly is... Lucky for me, my fiance eats like I do so we have an excellent understanding... This is just my life... Its who I am and what makes me happy...

Bro if you truly want something then you will do everything you can to achieve it. Right now you can't stay committed to the diet because you just kinda want it, you don't really want it. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but if you don't want to achieve your goals bad enough to not eat crap then it won't happen. Have a diet plan and stick to it. I know its hard at first but over time you won't even think about it as it will be a habit.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was just thinking about all that this morning...I want it but I don't WANT it bad enough. I just gotta work harder. I like to drink a couple days a week which needs to be cut back...Rick you do damn good to have a cheat meal once or twice a week and Dylan I can't believe you never cheat man that's awesome! Real dedication! I just don't understand this macros bs. I'm 6ft 282 and I eat 2000 cals a day and all I'm doing is maintaining

How long have you been at 2k calories? If you aren't losing weight on that, your metabolism is damaged. The only way to lose weight for you is to build your metabolism back up by slowly increasing calories over the next few months before slowly cutting them again.

I am starting to lose weight off 2k cals. I figured out that I was having entirely to many carbs and cheating more often then I thought. Ive maintained 1600-2000 since last Sunday and have lost 2 pounds.

It's my understanding that if diet and training are intact for the most part then adding a careful cycle of SARMS in is acceptable vs AAS since we have already cut that route out

everyone covered the biological reasons but I will bring up the morality of it because its very important.

back in the 70's it was really the birth of modern bodybuilding.. those guys laid the tracks for it to be where it is today in terms of modern gym training.. every redneck town in America has a gym because those guys making this hobby, sport, lifestyle whatever you want to call it possible.. before then the only places that had decent gyms were SF, LA and NY. now if you were caught juicing without putting in the blood, sweat and tears (yes I have had all 3 happen to me at different times frequently) they would either flame your ass or they would beat your ass in the gym. you don't just decide you want to get into shape and take steroids with it. its disgraceful to all of us when you do that

Thanks again Dylan....I've always wanted to stay and/or be in shape especially because I live by 6 gyms. Funny thing is(well not really)my whole family is overweight. Up until recently my mom thought the gym was the devil and EVERYTIME I wanted to go....she would magically come up with some week long chore for me to do like fix the roof or completely re-landscape the house lol

sounds like the waterboy's mom bro... lollll

that's really horrible thinking... the gym is the key to longevity... a healthy and successful life... there's nothing as important as taking care of yourself and putting yourself in the optimal health you can...

i deal with parents all the time worried about their kids since I am a PW judge for high school both girls and guys. i try and explain to the stubborn parents that weightlifting is the SAFEST sport there is. if i had a kid and was worried about their health i would have them do weightlifting #1 without question. ask anyone who played football and they will show you all their various injuries they still have to this day not to mention the concussions. hell even soccer i had a teacher whose 8 year old son got paralyzed from running into another kid.

Lol my mom is nuts what can I say....I've tried getting my whole family to join with me and it becomes an argument but I won't stop asking them!...that's tragic about the 8 year old...contact sports are dangerous man

Just wanted to say that reading through your thread, I personally think you have a great attitude towards this that a lot of guys don't have. Keep going about it the right way and the safe way. You'll achieve things you never thought possible and then you'll start working even harder towards your goals. Then when you're ready, you can take it to the next level.

i have an uncle that insisted that weightlifting stunts growth so he doesn't let my cousin lift, what a shame..
thats a total myth.. you are more likely to stunt your growth skiing or playing basketball and injuring a knee or something than you are weightlifting .. and the thing is both his kids play a ton of hockey which is very dangerous

Thanks bro...appreciate it. I'm gunna keep at it even sometimes when I just want to quit I just think of how much different I'll look in a few months and that keeps me going..... Hell hockey dude are missing teeth and shit. I'd rather take a chance at lifting and "becoming short" vs trying to get laid without teeth

Well said, chap! I'm in the same boat and I'll tell ya, I still go out with friends I just will drink seltzer water with lime instead of booze. I've taught myself to eat proportionality so when at a restaurant I know exactly what to eat / order. A little discipline is all u need!

Control and discipline can be a challenge for some, but when you develop it and you are focused, it is much easier to have. It is all about what is truly important to you... For some, we figure it out quicker then others but as long as we eventually get it and implement it into our lives, then everything else should be looked at as a learning experience and something that helps to shape our lives and improve them...

Thanks guys I appreciate it and I will look at that. Idk how you guys are so strict on your diet though....do you ever go out to eat with friends and have a drink etc...

Everyone is different. Honestly it really comes down to genetics and how good you want to look. Some people have the flexibility to be less strict than others. I take more of an IIFYM approach with my diet and if I can afford the calories to go out and eat, I do it. Same thing with drinking...if I know i'm going to go out drinking later in the evening I'll cut back on my cals and will NOT eat when I go to drink. It's really all about calorie control.

Personally, unless you're competiting, I don't think it's necessary to be that strict all the time. I like to enjoy life and LIVE. There is nothing wrong with that. It's good to have balance in all things. There is more to life than just lifting weights and being a hermit bodybuilder.

We all live our own lives and as long as what you are doing makes you happy it's all good

I applaud you on the weight you have already lost, Dylan is right on the money Steroids wether its a cutter or bulker both will increase your Blood pressure increasing your risk of stroke, now to get into shape its not just about Cardio but raising your BMR (Basic Metabolic Rate) Depending upon your fitness level once you have achieved an Advanced level of BMR this is where the dividens really pay off, not only do you burn fat but you have achieved in raising your BMR to a level that your body becomes a fat burning machine, not only will you burn fat doing cardio but you will continue to do so all day long.
And to take things into play heres a short copy of a thread i wrote.

so you're hitting the weights hard but after a few months you get discourage because there hasn't been much change in your body, the first thing that comes to mind is "steroids" NO NO NO! Forget it!!!Why? Because you're doing something wrong that even steroids will not cure, the most anabolic substance you can put in your body is FOOD!But what food? Here i'm going to list 20 superfoods you can eat to burn fat and build soild muscle.
To build muscle & lose fat, you need a variety of proteins, veggies, fruits, carbs, and healthy fats. Eating protein helps building & maintaining muscle. But it also helps fat loss: protein has a higher thermic effect than carbs/fats.

Eating fats also helps fat loss: your body holds fat if you don’t eat fats. Fruits & veggies contain vitamins & minerals, necessary for recovery from your workouts. And carbs fuel your muscles so you feel full of energy at the gym.

Lots of you struggle to get these foods. Sometimes because you’re too busy or sometimes because you just lack information. This list will help you — 20 super foods you need to build muscle & lose fat.

1. Whole Eggs. Cheap & rich source of protein: 7g/egg. The yolk contains most nutrients: half the protein, vitamins A/D/E and cholesterol to naturally increase your testosterone levels.

Don’t worry about cholesterol in eggs. Dietary cholesterol isn’t bound to blood cholesterol. If you have bad cholesterol, lower your body fat rather than throwing the yolk away.

2. Fish Oil. Reduces inflammation (joints/skin), lowers body fat and increases testosterone levels. You need 9000mg EPA/DHA per day. Since you’ll probably struggle to get that from eating fatty fish, consider a fish oil supplement.

3. Wild Salmon. One of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids that also gets you 20g protein per 100g serving. Farm raised salmon is, however, omega-3 deficient: it’s corn/grain fed. Go with wild salmon.

4. Berries. Strong antioxidants that prevent cancer, heart & eye diseases. Any kind works: cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, etc. Buy fresh or frozen berries and mix with oatmeal.

5. Yogurt. Contain bacteria that improve your gastrointestinal health. Don’t buy frozen yogurt or yogurt with added sugar and fruits at the bottom. Get plain low fat yogurt. Eat it with berries & flax seeds.

6. Flax Seeds. Source of fiber, protein & omega-3. Grind the flax seeds to get the most out of them. Take 1 tbsp with yogurt & berries before going to bed. Stay away from flax oil: it’s unstable and contains no fiber.

7. Extra Virgin Olive Oil. 70% monounsaturated fats that protect against heart diseases and cancer. Add 1-2 tbsp olive oil to your salads. Buy Extra Virgin Olive Oil: it contains more polyphenols and tastes better.

8. Mixed Nuts. Contain mono- & polyunsaturated fats, proteins, fiber, vitamin E, zinc, potassium, magnesium, etc. Mixed nuts are caloric dense, great if you’re a skinny guy who wants to gain weight.

Anything works: almonds, walnuts, cashews, hazelnuts, … Peanut butter also works as long as you buy natural peanut butter without added salts/sugars.

9. Red Meat. Protein, vitamin b12, heme iron, zinc, creatine, carnosine and even omega-3 if you eat grass-fed beef. Eat steaks & hamburgers from top round or sirloin. Read Dr. Lonnie Lowery’s article on Meat.

10. Broccoli. High in cancer-fighting phytochemicals and anti-estrogenic indoles. Broccoli is also high in soluble fiber and low calorie, helping fat loss. Eat other cruciferous vegetables for a change: cabbage, bok choy, cauliflower, kale, …

11. Spinach. One of the most alkaline foods. Spinach prevents muscle & bone loss, but also cancer and heart diseases because of its high nutrient profile. Try one of the spinach recipes I shared a while back.

12. Turkey. If you don’t believe saturated fat is good for you, try white turkey. The leanest beef has about 4.5g saturated fat/100g, while white turkey has close to 0g (that why it’s so dry). Eat turkey with spinach & quinoa.

13. Quinoa. South American “king of grains”. Quinoa is higher in fiber & protein than rice or oats, tastes a lot better and is gluten free. Buy the whiter grain, it’s better quality. Eat it post workout with meat & spinach.

14. Oats. Reduce cholesterol, provide you with low-gi carbs for energy, and high in soluble fiber. Try this post workout shake of whey & oats.

15. Tomatoes. High in lycopene, which prevents cancer. The lycopene in tomato paste is 4 times more bioavailable than in fresh tomatoes. Have pizza or pasta with tomato sauce & olive oil post strength training.

16. Oranges. Vitamin C to fight diseases, magnesium to lower blood pressure, anti-oxidant beta-carotenes, etc. Quit drinking processed orange juice which often has added sugars. Eat oranges or make your own orange juice.

17. Apples. Pectin in apples helps weight loss by increasing satiety. Apples are also the strongest antioxidiant after cranberries (eat the peels). Unfortunately apples are one of the most pesticide-contaminated fruits. Go organic.

18. Carrots. Their huge vitamin A content improves eye-health, especially night vision. Carrots are also rich in fiber, low calorie and taste good, even raw.

19. Water. Your body holds water if you don’t drink enough. Drinking prevents water retention, helps muscle recovery and prevents dehydration from strength training. Get a brita filter and drink 2 cups of water with each meal.

20. Green Tea. Strong antioxidant and natural diuretic. Green tea also speeds up fat loss, prevents cancer and improves blood sugar & circulation. Drink green tea in the morning instead of coffee. Real green tea, not the teabags.

Putting it All Together. Eat proteins, veggies, fruits & fats every 3 hours. 2 cups water with each meal. Carbs post workout only. Junk food 10% of the time. Get stronger in the meanwhile and you’ll build muscle and burn fat.

Awesome write up! Thanks bro! I've included about 60% of those things in my diet. It's hard to get everything in my diet since I'm only eating about 1800cal/day. and funds are a tiny bit limited but no excuses!
