Metal is all i listen to when i lift. Mastodon The Hunter. I listen to all of theirs. Five Finger got new one. Mudvayne is always good at gym. Pantera, etc

If you like white zombie you should get their first album soul-crusher. Came out in 1987, sounds crazy. Like butthole surfers

On the "power" tape it sstarts wirh two dudes talking about the new tape and the girl on the cover homeboy. Then struggle over it and one gets shot. Then he dcides to listen to the tape before he call parmedics. It crazy funny little skit

Soul sonic force, then jam on it by nucleus. All great man, the memories.

I remember White Lines playing and we were all oblivious to the fact they were talking about cocaine, then we would act all cool cause we once we knew we told others, hiliarious!

I like hard rocking music with good vocals and someone who can shred on the Guitar. I've been listening to "Killswitch Engage", since about 2007, I like their new-stuff.............................JP

Oh Yea, I got a couple of Mastodon songs on my Sony Walkman W (mp3 headset). I listen to a rock station on my TV, and if a band comes on I like, I'll download off my computer to the mp3. I used to have a regular Walkman, but the wires got in the way when working out. The Walkman W eliminate's that problem....................JP
P.S.
Mastodon's drummer is viciously good, I think he studied some Jazz. He does a lot that guys that play Jazz would do.

Bryan Adams, Billy Joel, Cher, David Bowie, Boy George...... OOPS. Wrong website.

Holy freakin 80s pop batman

NWA is good, diradio has some bada$$ trance, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Old Metallica and Megadeth, The first DMX album, Mob Deep, the Bloodsport Soundtrack.... and sometimes I listen to or watch this when doing cardio:

P.S.
System of a Down "Chop Suey", another favorite.

The only way to fly. I just love something with a Singer (good pipes), belting it out, and a Heavy Guitar (for Rhythm), and someone who can Shred (Lead Guitar). I 'am in a world of my own and don't see the Clowns around me (not always, but a lot), doing Stupid sh##, in the Gym..................................JP

Great idea. "Learn to swim" great meaning in the whole song. "F l Ron Hubbard" "f smiley glad hands and his hidden agenda." Some great lives. One of my technicians at a Toyota dealership was around my age and was a huge Tool fan. We had this thing where if he was around and a customer was getting stupid we'd throw see how many times we could get away with saying "learn to swim" kind of like super troopers when they said meow when they pulled people over. Great times great song.

Raw underground hip hop has become my favorite to lift to.
I've got a pandora station that cycles through that, hard metal, and various other genres, but the drumline and the effortless flows just help me zone out and get tunnel vision.

Cant believe nobody has mentioned Motorhead ace of spades makes me want to break shit. Volbeat good new band and Hellyeah.

funny because when i workout or do cardio, i prefer to listen to music that i would normally very rarely listen to or put on in my car.

i like trance, techno and electric music.

I second that. Digital import radio app for droid and iphone is free and freekin awesome. Best music app imho for the gyn

Techno? Really? That stuff was big in germany back in early 1990's. To each his own.

I think the above is best at the pool parties in miami... but gym, I have to go as angry as possible.. Love the above playlist though.

Yeah. Linkin park is sentimental. I had a point where I was secluded. I was taking way too many classes and could not afford to go out. All I did was lift and study and LP and Rise Against where my mainstays in the gym. I don't think I could handle the miami parties.. Lol.

How about Ministry "Thieves" or "Jesus Built My Hotrod" or even "Stigmata"? I don't like all their stuff, but they have a half dozen songs that do the job on the heaviest set. Five Finger Death Punch has always been a staple as well. Great thread...

kill switch engage, times of grace, disturbed, august burns red, chevelle, incubus, the browning, the sorrow, ill nino

I second that, but really I dont like music when I'm working out because I like to experiecnce all the pleasures of being outside or focusing on the weights themselves.
