I've got a log going on of Hipo's stuff on another board, and the activity there has fell off the map. I figured I would post this up here and get some more recognition for hipo's gear going.

Week 9 Measurements:

Weight 223.9
Caliper BF% 10
High Thigh: 28.25
Low Thigh: 24
Teardrop: 19.25
Calf 16.75
Neck: 20.5
Forearm: 14.75
Bicep: 19/18.25
Chest: 50
Waist: 35.75
Shoulder: 58.25

Here were my Week 2 Measurements:
Weight 229
Caliper BF% 12
High Thigh: 28
Low Thigh: 24
Teardrop: 19
Calf 16.5
Neck: 20.5
Forearm: 14.5
Bicep: 18.5/18
Chest: 49.5
Waist: 38
Shoulder: 57.5

So, we're looking at changes in:
Weight from 229 to 223.9
High Thigh from 28 to 28.25
Low Thigh no change
Teardrop from 19 to 19.25
Calf 16.5 to 16.75 (was hoping for more but my calves are stupid)
Neck no change
Forearm 14.5 to 14.75
Bicep from 18.5/18 to 19/18.25 (going to have to monitor my left bicep its dumb)
Chest 49.5 to 50 (yay)
Waist DOWN from 38 to 35.75 (YAY)
Shoulders up from 57.5 to 58.25 (yay)

After his last time posting up a logger's measurement results I hope everyone doesn't come in here and say OMFG you had a 38 inch waist WTF you shouldn't be on roids lololomfgwtf.

The fact is I've been on a heavy bulk for over 3 years. This is my first "recomp" in 6 years. It was VERY successful. I don't do cuts really, this kind of ended up as one, but not really because I lost a tremendous amount of fat and water weight while also adding size to basically every area that matters.

Admittedly, I did not meet my goals, but I think in hindsight my goals were unattainable. My intent was to actually gain weight while shedding fat. Instead, I've increased LBM, decreased BF, and increased strength.

With the calipers and simple math, we're looking at about 2.6% reduction.

Some of that is clearly water weight.

How much? Who knows lol. This is guess-work, but I wanted to be thorough. So, I was probably looking back on it around 12% BF before and about 10% BF now. Which makes sense looking in the mirror.

Also, my bench press did go up from 475 to 490, which I had hit 485 once before, but that was a bounce off and not a paused rep. So, along with the increased size, decreased weight and waist, and decreased body fat. I also see a pretty decent increase in strength. I did not do heavy weight on other areas, I simply had a specific goal for chest, and I really wanted to achieve that goal on this cycle. It would be stupid to try at this point with the hole in my gut.

Additional notes: Hair loss slowed around week 7, I did lose some, my hairline receded somewhat, and my hair thinned overall somewhat. It is bearable, but I will need to go get hairplugs in the future. Probably another two DHT based cycles and then I will have no choice lol.

Some of this is copied directly from my log and some of it is typed just for evo. I hope the members take it for what it is worth, to show that the gear I ran was quite potent. I'm never going to be shredded because I don't want to, but I do like to run around at about 10% BF as my abs start to pop out and my chest begins to lean out at that point. I spent my entire teenage years and up until the age of 25 at 8% BF and under, I didn't like the way it looked. I prefer the tankmode to the corvette. I don't want to go up to the teens again though, so I'll attempt to maintain 10% BF from here on out.

Primo x 600mg/wk
Var x 100mg/day
Test E x 500mg/wk
NPP x 400mg/wk
Proviron x 100mg/day

The "hole in my gut" is an umbilical hernia that I have recently been graced with. I mentioned that I have one a few places, but that's why I'm posting now instead of in 2 more weeks.

Hernias are no joke man. It's always a mind fuck that you can lift crazy heavy but there's often not a need if your looking to build muscle from a bodybuilding standpoint. Keep it up bro killer log.

Thanks for sharing this... Hipo is a solid dude. Running primo at the same mgs as you!! but overall very detailed and again thanks. Be safe

I squat and dead over 800 also. I was a formerly high ranked power lifter in a couple of different weight classes. Started having knee and elbow issues so I mostly lift like a bodybuilder now. I just wanted to break 500 on the bench before I completely shifted gear.

got the same hernia after deadlift day

that's good the hipo gear is working well for you.. keep it up

Did you have it surgically repaired? I'm going to sc to have a hernia specialist look at it in a couple of weeks. My hernia didn't even come from weights. It came from throwing my 75 pound nephew 30 feet into a pool repeatedly. Apparently that twisting motion I used to add power behind the throw was bad. I noticed the protruding bellly button the next day.

it is small enough where I am not going to mess with it yet. once it gets bigger yes I will have it taken care of as they do not repair themselves obviously..

it is not the same hernia as yours.. mine is above the belly button between that and the pecs.

I see, mine isn't large yet, but I'm trying to be proactive here. Mine is on the belly button and from there up about two inches above it.

My best was 603@181 with wraps. Nowhere near your level though.

That's a good number man. That's actually about where I was at when I graduated high school. I hit ~615 when I was about ~185. I've been lifting since I was 13 years old, my uncle was an NPC and he wanted me to do bbing but I was all about just being stronger than everyone else it didn't interest me. I played college football and boxed before I really got into powerlifting, that gave me a really solid base before I started focusing on the heavy stuff.

Nice man. 800 is an elite number 800/500/800 would be asinine

Man I could imagine. I stopped trying to break myself lol. I'm cool around 500-600 all arounds. I follow bodybuilding anyway. Maybe if I went back to strongman or power lifting training, but I don't think I will.

Yeah, I'm sure my squat and dl have dropped a bit but both still over 700 easily. I haven't dled anything over 585 in about 2 years, and haven't went over 675 on squat in about the same time frame. But I was repping pretty well. No meets for me so I tend to work compounds in the 5-8 range now.

Glad to hear that you're having an Awesome Cycle.
F-in Hernia Sucks ~ sorry to hear about that.

I just finished recovering from my umbilical hernia surgery. I had it since I was a kid, but finally blew it out on a 505lb squat. Surgery sucked!! First weeks just getting up off the couch or even taking a shit was a big ordeal. You cant use any of your ab muscles for getting up from a seated position, which is almost impossible. They repaired mine with a piece of mesh. Had 3 holes put on my side for their tools/scope and one 2" incision right above my belly button. 6 weeks of no lifting over 15lbs and no direct AB work for about 10 weeks! Very important because the mesh can tear loose if not fully healed/fused and you'll be back on the table. Finally back in the gym this week and its still going to be a long road until I'm back to where I was. Good luck with your procedure.

Sounds terrible, I'm not excited.
