How old is too young for supplements?

My kid bro wants to start taking some supps, he is 15yrl now and started training 2 years ago. He looks pretty good for a 15yrl and I want to help him. He has been picking up muscle magazines and started to get curious about supplements. What should I do?

I would be honest with him and educate him on supplements. Explain to him that they are there to supplement your diet - not replace a quality diet.

Get him a quality protein powder, fish oil and multivitamin.

If you don't support him on his interests, he is going to go behind your back and buy the supplements on his own. Chances are he's going to buy some gimmicky pre-workouts, or even worse - a pro hormone.

I bought my 16 year old cousin a tub of wheytobuildmuscle (protein powder), ruthless 3d (multi vitamin), and krill (essential fatty acid) from n2bm.com for his 16th birthday because I wanted to support his interest in training.

Now this is what I call a good uncle!

I agree with @muskate - at this age he does not need anything more than protein and multivitamins. At this age other things will do more bad than good. The most important thing is to explain him that you don't forbit him to take other stuff just because you say so, but because it will not be beneficial for him.
