Cardarine and S4 stack with questions

Hello,

I am a 45 year old male who took a good look in the mirror at Xmas and decided enough was enough. I am a recreational athlete who has gotten way out of shape. I decided i had to do something. I started eating healthier foods, and exercising. I noticed over the month of January my weight was yo yoing up and and down without any consistency. By the end of January i was still roughly same weight and size. I started researching macro's, IIFYD, carb counting, carb cycling, fasting, etc... My decision was to start following my daily macros and consuming 40% protein, 40% fat, 20% carb on a 1850 calorie diet. By the middle of March i noticed my weight loss had slowed down. I would loose weight on HIIT and weightlifting combo days but not on weight lifting only days. My normal training was weight lifting 5 days a week, HIIT 2-3 times a week, and a cardio day. Below is my log since the 1st of January.

In the middle of March i decided i wanted to find something that could aid me on my journey to a healthier me. I found this website and started reading articles and I choose to complete my first Sarms cycle. Cardarine, and S4. My first dose was Saturday March 18th and i cant wait to see the finished results.

Dosage
S4 split 25 mg morning and evening
Cardarine split 10mg morning and evening

My starting questions are:

1) i purchased only one month of supplies and was wondering should i add Osterine for the second month or stay just with the S4 and Cardarine for 8 weeks?
2) Is a PCT like HCGenerate needed because of the S4 after the cycle is complete?
3) should my macros change from 40%protein, 40%fat, 20% carb? I am reading that a lot of people say you need the extra carbs?
4) Are double workouts necessary to assist with the cut? I have recently done weights, then an hour later cardio to work off extra calories. Those days are killer!


Im sure i will have many more questions through out this process. The forum community has a ton of great information and im open to any suggestions.

The ostarine isn't essential per say but S4 + ostarine + cardarine is a great SARMS cycle. It's referred to as the triple stack.
Cardarine is a great SARM for fat loss and endurance
Ostarine is a great SARM for recovery
S4 is a great SARM for strength gains
You get the best of everything by stacking the three together

2) Is a PCT like HCGenerate needed because of the S4 after the cycle is complete?
Yes. SARMS are only minimally suppressive of natural testosterone production so all that is needed as a mini PCT after a cycle of SARMS is a good natural testosterone booster like HCGenerate ES from n2bm.com.

3) should my macros change from 40%protein, 40%fat, 20% carb? I am reading that a lot of people say you need the extra carbs?
Cardarine increases muscle insulin sensitivty so you can get away with eating more carbs but you don't need extra carbs or anything like that. If you respond best to a low carb diet, stick with your macros as are. If you tolerate carbs well, then I would do 40%protein, 40%carbs, 20% fat

4) Are double workouts necessary to assist with the cut? I have recently done weights, then an hour later cardio to work off extra calories. Those days are killer!
Double workouts are not necessary at all. It's very easy to get burnt out doing 2 per day workouts. I only train once per day when cutting.

Your recovery ability is enhanced when using SARMS so you can train twice per day but I personally just train once per day. I do my weight workout, then do my cardio right after.

You could add ostarine to minimise the muscle loss during the cutting process and to improve the recovery. Its always a nice addition.

S4 is a bit stronger sarm, so a strong test booster like HCGenerate or HCGenerate ES is highly recommended to be sure you recover properly

When you are cutting, carbs should go down first.

4) Are double workouts necessary to assist with the cut? I have recently done weights, then an hour later cardio to work off extra calories. Those days are killer!

Depends on how you feel. You need to listen to your body and sometimes double workouts can be even counter productive.

I would add the ostarine.

As long as your diet is in check you will see results. I got leaner than ever before with the SARMS triple stack and couldnt be happier.

I am running Nutrobal and LGD right now and shortly will transition to the Triple Stack again.

As these guys have already said HCGenerate for PCT.

^^ you can use nutrobal, cardarine or SR9009 right away after pct. no problem.. none are hormonal

soreness is NOT lactic acid like many people think.. it is simply your muscle fibers being ripped and inflamed.

also if you are getting sore a lot consider taking a few deload sessions to give your body a breather and try and add 1 hour a night to your sleep.. your soreness will improve that way
you could also consider changing up your workout splits so that you work out fresh muscles while the sore muscles are healing. I currently do an upper body and lower body split routine. while my upper body heals i hit my lower body and so on

You are correct.

I am really looking forward to your results. When you are dedicated to your diet and training and then add these compounds in, they make a big difference. Not only physically but mentally. Once you see the results it becomes an addiction and you will feel amazing. Good luck and keep us updated.

So what I typically will do is do the triple stack and then run HCGenerate for PCT along with Nutrobal. I use the Nutrobal as a bridge.

My current plan is:

Week 1-4: 25mg Nutrobal a day
Week 5-12: 25mg Nutrobal and 10mg LGD a day
Week 13-16: 25mg Nutrobal a day and HCGenerate
Week 17-28: 20mg Cardarine, 50mg S4, and 50mg Ostarine a day
Week 29-32: 25mg Nutrobal a day and HCGenerate

I came up with this to take me through the summer and into early fall.

You could add LGD into the triple stack as well.

I do try to split my routine's. What i'm finding is cardio is very doable on any day except legs! When i'm done my leg work out i'm spent. I have tried to man up later in the day but im currently having a hard time. This may change as my legs get stronger but for now im taking that day off cardio. I strained a calf muscle last week right before my S4 and Cardarine arrived. I wrap it tight and work as hard as im able. Osterine would have really been great to have at the start looking back on it.

I love the idea of using Nutrobal as a bridge. I am going to use your plan as well, its very nicely laid out. I see the nutrobal promotes weight loss and lean gains but what does the LGD do? I am reading the sarms1 site but not getting a clear explanation of the LGD.

LGD is a SARM.. it is essentially 80 to 0 .. anabolic to androgenic. so it will help you gain lean muscle mass, lose some body fat, gain a little strength WITHOUT adding side effects to your cycle. you can read more about it by looking up the articles we have

I'm one week in on my first cycle and here's what i have noticed so far. The Cardarine and S4 have improved my cardio and strength gains. I have lost 1.5 pounds, and i'm loosing 1/10th fat percent everyday. If i am able to keep this pace I would loose 3% body fat a month and 6+ lbs. I use a scale every morning for weight and body fat %. I know these type of scales are not the most accurate for BF but it allows me to see that i'm consistently loosing from the previous day. I have ordered my second month supply of Cardarine, S4, and I added Osterine. My diet is clean but i'm wondering if i should add carbs. I have been 40%protein, 40% fat and 20% carbs. Some days i'm dragging in the afternoon. What do you think on adding the cards or not? If the LGD is going to give me mass over strength im thinking next cycle after PCT i might wanna add that. As long as it allows me to continue to cut fat.

Awesome job brother. The results you are getting are a testimate to the hard work your are putting in at the gym and at the dinner table.

As I mentioned in my first post - Cardarine increases muscle insulin sensitivty so you can get away with eating more carbs. I would do 40%protein, 40%carbs, 20% fat.

I always recommend and advocate a high carb, high protein, low-moderate fat diet. It just makes the most sense logically. Carbs are what fuel hard training and keep the muscle full.
 
Great job so far man. I am like you.....I feel crappy with low carbs so I always have carbs in my diet. The key is to keep them complex and have your overall diet clean.
 
Week 2 update

Hey guy,

I'm 2 weeks into Cardarine and S4 and still loosing body fat daily. Its a slow roll but its working. I have increased my carbs and like having the fuel its noticeable. My weight loss has slowed and i stayed same weight this week.

A couple things i have noticed and looking for advice.
1. I didnt read any of these side effects but i know for a fact dry mouth, and heart burn daily. I already take a pill for acid reflux and didnt have any of these before starting the Cardarine and S4. Has anyone else mentioned any of these?
2. I was lifting weights 5 days a week and 1 day full cardio with 2 days of doubles weights+ cardio in week 1. In week 2 i changed over to 4 days weights, 2 days cardio with no doubles. My body felt better at the end of the week but i wasnt get the weight loss as i did in week 1. Should i go back to a couple doubles or could the extra carbs temporarily slow my weight loss? I definitely enjoy lifting over the cardio but it seems like im getting better results on cardio days without fail. Should i alter my schedule for more cardio?
3. I bought the triple stack and got 2 bottles s4, 2 bottles cardarine and 1 bottle Osterine. Unless im looking at this wrong why do you just get 30 days of the Osterine? 1. Try taking them with food, some people get a little bit of stomach irritation while taking sarms, so its possible, but not common

2. I would suggest doing weights 4 times per week and cardio 3-4 times, if your goal is fat loss

3. That is completely correct, you just read it wrong. An ostarine bottle lasts 8 weeks. Particularly you have 30ml of 50mg per ml. The daily dosage is 25mg, which means you take only 0.5 ml of ostarine per day.

1. Try taking the SARMS with food. Take your first dosage with breakfast and your second dosage with dinner.

2. I would keep your weight training where it's at but add in some low intensity cardio after each workout. I think trainig with weights 4-5 days per week is optimal. It'll prevent muscle loss and keep the metabolism firing on all cylinders. On your workout days, do your workout then walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes after. On your rest days, do 45 minutes of more intense cardio like intervals.

3. You take 1mL of s4 per day, 1mL of cardarine per day and 0.5mL of ostarine per day.
 
If you were getting better results with more cardio then switch back to that. Either that or just change the way you are lifting in order to keep heart rate up. Both will have the same effect.
 
Hey Guys,

One month in and I feel great! I started the first two weeks with just Cardarine and S4. I added Osterine on week 3 and I have not been nearly as sore as I was prior. I just completed my first month. I am a little disappointed in my fat loss for the month. What losses do most people see, or should be expected? I know its relative to have much you have to loose but I have plenty to loose. I use the military BMI calculator and I'm down 2 1/2% BF and 3 Lbs for the month. I was hoping for a little better results. I strained my calf around week 3 and it prevented me from any HIIT for the last two weeks which also slowed progress. For what ever reason I have a tough time keeping my calfs stretched to prevent strains and pulls. My clothes are fitting better and I have lost inches across my body. I still have a long way to go but look forward to the challenge. I will be adding some Double weights and cardio days to help me with the weight loss.

Those results are much better than you make them seem. Trust me, the scale is not a good way to judge your results. It sounds to me like you have loet 2.5% body fat and also gained some muscle! And add to that the fact that you notice your clothes fitting better shows real progress.

Just stick with it and the results will continue.

Ostarine is really nice for recovery. I am glad you are seeing results with it. You are only a month in too. The real magic will just be getting started as far as the fat loss with GW.

I also was wondering what i should do next week while on business travel. I will be working from 7:00 am till 7:00 pm all week with clients at a hotel. No gym at the hotel. Im taking my Bowflex changeable dumbells to try to get some lifting in but its going to be difficult. I was wondering should i continue the triple stack that week or not?

Continue with the triple stack. It will prevent muscle loss when you aren't able to stick to your diet and training 100%.

The triple stack will prevent you from loosing any progress you made while on your business trip. You probably won't make any progress during your trip but you won't loose any progress either at least.

Progress pics above if i did it right!

I lost another 6 lbs in month two of the triple stack, and another 1.5% body fat. The last month was tough with travel, birthdays, and social events. The last 2 weeks i switched over to a keto/ evo diet and i think it has done wonders for me. Im currently taking Hcgenerate for my pct and i am still loosing fat almost daily. Family and friends have all noticed my weight loss and muscle gains. Its a great feeling to hear others have noticed my hard work.

Currently 190 lbs, 24% BF on military calculator. I can almost start to see the beginning of a 2 pack haha! Im still committed to reaching my goal.

I think i will run another triple stack after this hcgenerate is complete. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Hey Guys,

First off Happy Fathers Day to all the dads....I just finished my 3rd month since finding this great site. I have cleaned up some of the bad eating habits since joining. It has helped me with my progress. I am eating an Evo/ Keto diet with descent results.

Results for the end of month 3.

Arms lost 1/2" i imagine due to the cut and no s4, or Osterine while on pct
Belly lost 1 3/4" since last month
Thigh and chest lost a 1/4" since last month
Hips no change
Weight - lost 4 lbs. since last month = 186
BMI - 22% on military calculator - down 2% from previous month

I finish up my HCGenerate in two days and start another cycle of the triple stack. I definitely lost more fat during the triple stack cycle and im excited to get back on it. I have been doing alot more cardio and less weights this last month but im switching back to 5 days weights and 3 cardio in 2 weeks. I will post a pic for the update.

Im thinking after the triple stack cycle im going to run Cardarine, Nutrobal, and HCGenerate for a month and transition into LGD, and S4. Is there a better cycle to transition into? I just am scared of loosing any of the progress from the cut by putting on a lot of weight. Any thoughts moving forward?

You are doing great and the progress is visible, so keep up with the good job! The most important thing is to keep training all the time.

Update:

Month 5 since starting the sarms triple stack.

Started 198.8 lbs and currently 175
Started BMI 29.6 and currently 21% BMI on Military BMI calculator
I have lost 3/4" in bicepts, 4 1/2 inches in belly, 2 1/2 inches in thighs, 3 inches in my chest, and over 2 inches in hips.

my questions moving forward.

1) After 2 cycles of triple stack i am using hcgenerate for my pct until September 20th when my next cycle will start. Do i continue one more round of the triple stack or transition into something lgd and s4? I want to be ripped and wasnt sure if i would get enough lean gains by moving to the Lgd and s4. I know the LGD is going to promote size which im fine with but i still have fat to loose.

2) At some point when i have lost enough fat will it be possible for a guy 5"10 to get to 200lbs and still be ripped without using steroids?

3) I am following an evo/ Keto diet and Carb day is really carb meal and a half for me. I tend to put on about 3 lbs per carb day. I normally loose it over the next couple days after but is this normal? I normally dont take in healthy carbs when that treat meal comes around. I normally go all in on foods i have been missing out on. SHould i change or alter my approach.

4) following the above question my weight and BMI loss has slowed and i am trying to figure out the next step. Do i stay the course 1750 calories, 70 %fat, 25 protein, 5 carb daily or do i need to get even fewer calories?

Any advice on my questions for moving forward greatly appreciated.

my questions moving forward.

1) After 2 cycles of triple stack i am using hcgenerate for my pct until September 20th when my next cycle will start. Do i continue one more round of the triple stack or transition into something lgd and s4? I want to be ripped and wasnt sure if i would get enough lean gains by moving to the Lgd and s4. I know the LGD is going to promote size which im fine with but i still have fat to loose.

2) At some point when i have lost enough fat will it be possible for a guy 5"10 to get to 200lbs and still be ripped without using steroids? I am not opposed to gear i just want to see all my options.

3) I am following an evo/ Keto diet and Carb day is really carb meal and a half for me. I tend to put on about 3 lbs per carb day. I normally loose it over the next couple days after but is this normal? I normally dont take in healthy carbs when that treat meal comes around. I normally go all in on foods i have been missing out on. SHould i change or alter my approach.

4) following the above question my weight and BMI loss has slowed and i am trying to figure out the next step. Do i stay the course 1750 calories, 70 %fat, 25 protein, 5 carb daily or do i need to get even fewer calories?

first off great job

you should keep going.. yes drop the calories more now.. as you lose weight your calories need to come down too or you will just get stuck

you do have more room to drop more

and yes at 5'10" you can still lose weight and still look ripped at under 200 pounds.

I know the LGD is going to promote size which im fine with but i still have fat to loose. If you are trying to cut, I would just stick to Andarine S4. It is good for promoting additional strength without much additional mass. Besides, it is always best to add just one new compound per cycle, so on the next one add Andarine, and then LGD.

I am not opposed to gear i just want to see all my options. That is a question that has no answer, as it depends on so many things - your diet, training, genetics, rest, sleep....obviously gear makes things easier, but it does not mean that you can not achieve nice results without it.

As far as I know, you should on the contrary lose weight after the carb days, since those are supposed to accelerate your metabolism again.

1. Have you thought about stacking cardarine with SR9009? If your main goal is fat loss, cardarine + sr9009 is pretty much the best fat loss stack you can possibly put together.

2. Once the fat is gone it's gone. Very easy to stay lean year round once you have lost all the fat. I stay around 8% year round. Loosing the fat is hard but once it's off, maintaining it isn't hard.

3. Completely normal. When you eat carbs, they are stored in your muscles as glycogen. Each gram of carb is stored with 3 grams of water. The weight gain you are experiencing is just water weight. Don't stress yourself out.

4. That's a pretty low calorie intake. I would keep the calories where they are but instead, increase the frequency/duration of your cardio/workouts.

I would rather go for 12 weeks - these compounds are perfectly safe to use, and in this time you will be able to achieve more noticeable results. As per N2Guard - it is not a necessity with those two compounds, since they are not liver toxic. However, it is a great supplement to take because it has so many health benefits, so if you can afford it, then go for it.

n2guard helps your body sleep, function, organ health, etc etc. if you can afford to run it year round just do half a serving a day so each bottle lasts 2 months instead of 1. I personally run it like that and on cycle up it to the full serving.

remember n2guard contains things like beta glucan which most americans get none of and the body cannot create. that is 1 example of why n2guard is awesome
 
I would run the Cardarine 12 weeks at 20mg per day and use the SR 5-20mg before you exercise. Combine that with your caloric deficit and you are good to go. You have made great progress so far!

12 week cycles are best. You want to diet long and slow to prevent muscle loss. Crash dieting works but you sort of shoot yourself in the foot because you will loose muscle which will slow your metabolic rate.

SARMS are not liver toxic so N2guard is not needed but it's a great overall health supplement to take. A healthy body will make all your goals that much easier to achieve. If you feel good, your workouts will be better, your sleep will be better etc.
