Many people say it' s loaded with sugar, I wonder if you have avoid it 100% when losing weight, thank you.

If you REALLY like orange juice then you can have it occasionally on a fat loss diet for a cheat meal but what you read about it being full of sugar...100% correct.

Next time you're at the grocery store - look at a can of coke and look at a can of orange juice. The calories and sugar content are identical. Yes the sugar in orange juice is coming from natural sources but sugar is sugar.

Eat oranges instead.

If you want an Occasional Glass of Orange Juice.

Juice your own, and avoid the Added Sugar, but still, Oranges that you Juice are still High in Natural Sugar.

Personally, I'll have an Orange, this way you get some Fiber.
So this is the Better Option when Dieting......................... JP
P.S.
Although like Muskate mentioned, having a Glass of Orange Juice in the Context of a Cheat Meal.
Isn't going to Hurt anything.
Better to have the Occasional Glass, if that's what you are Craving.
Then to let those Cravings get out of control.

here is the thing about orange juice or any type of juicing or blending.

when you juice an orange it is still a type of processing, you are exposing it to a ton of oxygen and chopping it up. so you are losing a lot of the nutrition. so don't think that juicing orange juice has tons of vitamin C. you are better eating the actual orange including pulp!! even the skin is loaded with anti-oxidants.

and organic produce has more nutrition than conventional. if the produce was zapped with pesticides what do you think happens along the way?

if you insist on OJ do what JP said above.. juice it quickly and drink it quickly.. the longer it sits the longer it will lose its health benefits and essentially you are left with just a sugary drink :(

The best time to have it would be immediately after a workout. At that time, your body is cannibalizing muscle tissue. The sugar in a small amount of orange juice, combined with some lean protein, would arrest that process.
