Long term Health

I wanted to ask you guys who have been on trt for years some things. Have you had any health problems? How if you have stayed healthy done so? What risk do you feel are part of long term use? I know much of the heart health stuff has been thrown out. Just curious on thoughts and experiences.

Maybe state how long you have been on... where the guys like Rick, steve, dylan at?

Rickrock still around? Been sometime since I've seen anything with a post.

How long have you been on? I know Dylan has seen alot of things in his time.

Going on 2 years on. No issues. But I am also very cautious. I get my own bloods in addition to what my doc does. When I am not on cycle, I take the min amount I need to get my numbers at a respectable amount. I am not running 250mg/week and adding crazy shit to it and at. 2200 test level like some guys think TRT is. And yes, mine is actually doc prescribed. I discussed all this way back when I first joined in May. I been perusing this forum for 2 years. Soaking up info. Learning. Every forum and any bit of info I could get my hands on.

That is why I get frustrated, no pissed at these assholes who post one thing and ask a stupid question they could research themselves or ask questions that show they have no business even buying gear let alone trying to run it.

Been on TRT for 3 years now, I would suggest if you’re concerned about heart issues and such, I’m not familiar with the health care system in the USA if you’re there but here in Canada just ask if you can get a referral to see a cardiologist and get a yearly check up done. Echocardiogram, ECG, bloods, etc. Just be cautious and hopefully find a GP that’s willing to monitor you.

the goal of TRT is to substitute what a normal healthy person your age would produce

a lot of people run into health problems on TRT cause they run too much, and don't think just cause you are working with a doctor they are going to set you up well. doctors want to give you more drugs, they will gladly write you a script for bp meds and an AI vs. lowering your TRT dose if a problem comes up

blood work is so important here

I've never undergone TRT. But I know three guys who have undergone TRT for at least fifteen, and, by all accounts, they're quite healthy. But that is purely anacedotal.

No long term effect after a few years being on it. Only downside is pinning. But you get used to that. My dr has me in at least 2 times a year for checkups and all have been clear.

I’ve been on TRT 3 years now, started at 29 and 32 now.

The only notable things I had was a slight decrease in HDL and once in awhile an increase in hematocrit, both are easily fixed. Diet alone and plenty of fish oil helped the HDL and a blood donation once in awhile clears up HCT.

I’ve also had an echocardiogram done, as well as a stress echo and all measurements of my heart were within normal parameters.

I'm 43 yrs old. been on TRT for 2 years. My numbers were in the 200's when I went on. I keep them around 650 off cycle.

I'll give you my supplement regimen. I'll give it to you for on and off cycle: even though I'm on TRT, I'm never really "off" but here goes

Off Cycle: Garlic, Krill, oil, flaxseed, fish oil and borage oil, COQ10, plant sterols, congaplex, curcumin, yohimbine, hcl, multi, and of course a baby aspirin

on cycle: everything that i take on cycle in addition to : liver lift (it's a great alternative to the more expensive "other" products that are advertised around here), tudca

I give blood every 60 days

the only effects i have really seen are just during certain cycles, mainly tren... i have really cut it back to one cycle a year though and just very light... i hit it hard for a few years but after long conversations with my mom and wife, i learned a lot in terms of myself, what was most important and the fact that you can be selfish in a variety of ways but the main way is not thinking more about the others that care about you and need you... putting it in a much larger picture for me personally, i know that they are far more important to me... so my use is minimal at best at this point... so it really depends on how you define long term, but i have kept up on bloodwork as well...

The main thing my dr has been concerned about is cholesterol while I’m on TRT. I made a couple of diet adjustments and that has cleared up and been zero issues for the last 4-5 years. Giving blood is always good too.

bro, the garlic and plant sterols helped me bring my cholesterol down along with diet. It was probably more the plant sterols, as studies have shown garlic to only have a temp effect on that. I use the garlic for other reasons.

If your TRT is doctor prescribed and you are regularly getting blood work done - TRT should improve your health

So amazing. Great feedback I am in normal rage and have been on for about 3 years. Just curious for sure. Dylan howling have you ran things? How is your heart?

Dylan,

My question to you is what are you doing to recover or as re you still cruising on test? Or are you doing sarms year around? How have you recovered so many times and are you in the normal range?

Stevesmi,

Do you come off?

Stevesmi,

Do you come off?

Not speaking for them guys but a lot of guys use HGH year round to assist recovery while off AAS or on.

I personally like mk-677.

MK677 is a gh precursor? Would it be effective for this cycle or

Mk-677 is a GH secretagogue, it works by stimulating ghrenlin which causes releases of GH from the pituitary gland. So it’s very much like a 24 hour half life oral bioavailabile version of GHRP.

It’s effective for anything you’d use GH for.

Grunt, how is it that you started trt at 29? Curious

I started suffering from low T symptoms around 25ish, had labs taken and couldn’t really pin point besides a huge amount of LH and FSH, so of course testes weren’t working.

Tried restart protocols all, nothing lasted for long. Ended up seeing a few more doctors and they were eventually able to figure out it was physical trauma to the testes. In 2008 the truck I was in hit a large IED, I was actually in the turret gunning that day and wearing my harness. One of the flips was so bad that the center crotch strap literally smashed my balls, it was fucking terrible. Swollen terrible bad bruising but sonograms showed they were still “intact.”

So to this day the one good doc I did have and myself believe it was from blunt force trauma to the testes.

By the time I hit 29 with no successful restarts and knew the likely reason for low T I decided it was time for the shots. Best decision I made, couldn’t imagine life without TRT. I was able to stop taking antidepressants, anxiety meds and all that shit.

Of course brother and thank you.

They blamed my time in Iraq as well for my T being lost. It was great prior so I know the feeling grunt. I was younger than you when I got on it.

Yeah we’re exposed to so much shit man it’s not surprising.

Do you know whether or not you were exposed to depleted uranium while you were in Iraq, swolelife?

Probably was, I know I was in 2005.

"Lovely."

Were you assigned to an M2 Bradley, Gruntwerkz?

I was stationed at Fort Hood, in 1-12 cav to be exact. 1-12 is a mechanized infantry unit so we used brads a lot, well I was part of the ground guys I still rode in the brads from A to B and even ran the bushmaster a couple times when my leg was healing.

We would take the brads right into an assault, dismount and do our thing well they raised hell with the 25mm cannon. If it was a sensitive mission or night op we’d take them until about 10-15 clicks out then foot it from here... once we made it in and shit hit the fan they would come to us for support. This was mostly my first deployment in 05, in 08 we took Mosul from them and did everything mostly my black hawk for insertion but at this point I was a junior sniper/designated marksman so I spent a lot of time on roof tops.

I'm turning 44 this year and I believe I began cycling and TRT 3 years ago.....

So i've technically been ON for three years straight.... At first my TRT dosage was too high and i'm sure i stayed above the "normal" range for all of probably 2+ years... Didn't have any issues other than some minor gyno under my nipples but nothing visible.....

I had blood work done when my sleep and personality changed drastically, to include my relationship with my girl, and my e2 levels were out of whack at 64 when they should've been 20-30..... Readjusted my dose and increased frequency of pins to cut back to only 150 mg per week (75 every 4 days). Brought my test level down to 612 and e2 at 24...

Other than that there has been zero health issues... I am going to get some labs done for cholesterol and bp soon during an annual checkup... IN the gym I feel great.. I slightly adjusted to dosage to try and get me into the mid 700's on test where I plan to stay until starting to blast again in mid october.

So not only were you exposed to "depleted" uranium through the munitions fired by the Bradley, so, too, were you sittting on top of the "depleted" uranium that is used beneath the Bradley's bench seats as a fortification measure. Yeah, "lovely."
Have you impregnated anyone since 2005, Gruntwerkz?

It seems to me that everything is very individual. Someone may have a very weak body and will immediately start some problems. especially if done unsupervised by specialists.
