I’ve done it, I needed a shit ton of AI though.
I had gained a shit ton of weight after I got injured and got out of the service, I was 28% on a dunk test. However I was hypogonadal at that point but didn’t know it, which likely contributed to the additional body fat.
So anyone point being I already had AAS experience well in the service when I was at my prime, so it wasn’t new to me and I knew the challenges and risks of running it at a high body fat.
I ended up running 250mg/wk test-e for 12 weeks once I got back into lifting, I was cutting obviously. It was a successful cycle in terms of cutting and even some recomp but the sides were terrible. Estrogen was terrible to control, I needed so much AI that my lipids were in the dump. Blood pressure was hard to control even with high doses on AI, and the body is already stressed from carrying the extra body fat so adding androgens is no good.
So my first hand experience is it worked but I wouldn’t suggest it, because well I feel strong and made great increases in lifts I was to heavy to start to even see what my lean gains were.
I would suggest you cut first, especially if you don’t have experience. As I said I had experience and it still took a huge toll on me and would never cycle with that high or a body fat again. With that said I wouldn’t let myself get there again anyway, I was in a bad place then.
Looking back I should of ran labs thank then, as just starting TRT at that point would of helped drop body fat over time.
