Approved Log Road back to Powerlifting 2025 Cycle Log

Seem to have kicked whatever has been knocking me around and trained much better today:
Morning cardio: Treadmill at 2 incline 24 min
Afternoon:
Ezy Bar front raise 10x 5,10 4x10x12.5kg
bar not included in weight.
Superset with:
Calf presses 8x50,75,100,125,145,155,165kg

Rear Delts 10x15, 4x10x25kg
Superset with:
Standing Ab Crunches 4x35x18

Love the ezy bar for front raises as it takes the weight of the wrists being at a slight angle and is a good visual for an even raise.

Low carbs I see it but you need to get some walnuts and omega 3 oils here @Kopite67

I take the omega 3 supps now so I will avoid walnuts as I dislike them (any other suggestion?😁)
All the macros are in the post above @LevButlerov. I just failed in the "let's put it in one post" column this time 🤭
I have lowered carbs a little in places, especially cheese, and it seems to be keeping me a bit leaner. Will watch and play with this over the next few weeks during my growth phase.
Oh, and they were very tasty 😋

lol :P I feel the walnut hate! how about almonds? not as good but will work. @Kopite67

Almonds are an option, they are not to bad, would have preferred cashews and macadamia's as option though (I know, too much fat, not much else in them blah, blah, blah 🤭)

You are such an walnut and almond hater lol :P

So pics for the menu:
wow the food looks good! that middle picture looks like something you would pay big $$ for at a nice restaurant. but you make it on your own which is 1000X better @Kopite67

Thanks bro. Love making meals, so that makes it a 1,000,000x easier for me. We have such great ingredients which also makes it fun. Prep is the key though 🙂

for sure man. i got 2lbs of sirloin and potatoes i am gonna prep myself tomorrow

Morning cardio was Treadmill on 2 incline, 2km.

So todays training contained a revelation that has been coming for a while.
I am now done with singles on squats and depth will be as far as my body can safely go. Therein I will not be doing a competitive powerlifting squat again.
I will still do Deads and Bench hopefully in competitions but leg day will involve far more hypertrophy lifts which I now have to write up tonight 🙄
I went up to 140kg today and couldn't bring myself to even try and get to parallel I was that done mentally. I Racked and stopped. I will go again tomorrow with a new approach.
It's been coming, I just had to know and accept it was time.
Might even try a bit of body building to see where I can go.
Anyway journey continues, just in a slightly different direction.

So after yesterday's revelation with squats, I have decided that an old technique I needed a few years ago was required:
Stop, Pause, Take 2 steps back and Re-set.
I will only do Cardio for the next couple of days, re-jig my leg workout, and go again from Monday Training wise. Sunday I will outline the program in detail.

I won't count calories over the weekend but will show what lovely food I am eating.

Look after yourselves Evo Fam 💚

This week's progress pics. Still leanish, weight is up to 109.9kg. I will keep with the process and keep my protein up, cals up and cycle as is and in 12 weeks we shall see where I sit, stand or look even. Then cut for Christmas to finish my 2025 log.

Thanks @LevButlerov and @UGL OZ.
I know this is the best I have ever looked at this weight, but it is never enough through these somewhat critical eyes.

Unfortunately it was a working lunch so I forgot to snap it as I was distracted. It was awesome though 😋

My Epic Cheat 6/9 Saturday Menu Log.

Weight at 3am - 110.6

M1: 3 slices short cut Bacon, 3 eggs Scrambled, 2 slices bread
S1: Full sugar Energy drink - A favourite OZ snack food blogger created these recently and this was the perfect opportunity to try them. Not bad, not great. Need a different flavour.

M2: Lamb Gozleme - I have wanted one of these all week for some reason. Wasn't disappointing either. Very little excess oil or fat.
M4: Dubai Chocolate Strawberry cup - This was UNBELIEVABLE. The strawberries cut through the sweetness. I got half of this, MrsKopite67 with the assist.

M5: Home made Sausage rolls, my oh my 😁
M6: Home-made hot brownie and cream 😋 An epic way to end an epic cheat day 😎

I love the menu you are eating good minus the brownie, you need a high protein one.

Yes and yes. Yeah, back on the protein train today (no regretswith the brownie though 😁). See a GP today and get this hayfever sorted, I hope.

man i don't know on that hay fever. can be a lot of things. try fasting for 36 hours and see if you are able to breathe better. if yes then you bet its a food allergy then you can work on figuring out what it is from there. otherwise check things in your house. how is the air quality? @Kopite67

Quick log. My hayfever is actually pneumonia so I am laid up for a couple of days. More info tomorrow. Rest up Evo Fam 💚

It is fine, my problem is not seeing my GP early enough and ending up in hospital with pneumonia, which was a complete surprise 🙃

Good Evening,
Today was rough. My hayfever has gone to the next level and I am struggling with my chest. My cardio was a disaster this morning and after a few discussions with all the beautiful women in my life, it was decided I am going to the Dr tomorrow to get this looked at 😬. I suppose I have managed to avoid going for 5 years so.....

@Kopite67 food is looking on point!

Hi Evo Fam. Since my last log things have changed quite a bit.
The whole saga is this:
On Monday I went to my GP about hayfever and getting possible asthma medication to sort out my lack of air coming in. After 30 sec of examination he told me I probably have pneumonia and I need to go the hospital to get tested properly. A shock, but we went as directed.
Once I got in to the ED, they took an x-ray and found it was both lungs and extensive, plus my Heart rate and BP were really shit too.
I was admitted and the following day the Coronary Care team paid me a visit, did an echo test and told me I have Arterial Fibrillation, that has been there for a long time, and the infection and pneumonia was now making it a major issue.
So then I was transferred to the Coronary Care Unit, which I am now logging from (day 3 here).
So now what???
I am still not sure what the next steps are, I will be here till everything calms down.
I will keep my Road back to Powerlifting 2025 log going until I leave here. Then a new log and a whole new journey. And what a journey that will be.
In this somewhat retrospective moment I find myself thinking how did I not see this coming, when all the signs were there. Peds had nothing to do with any of this, by the way, if anything they may have saved me by increasing my strength.
Anyway, mostly for my own sanity I will log each day on how this goes until I am discharged.
So my current cycle, peds, supps, training is:
Cycle: nil
Peds: nil
Supps: nil
Meds: about 12 I think.
Training: attempting to stand for more than a minute.
Obviously there are a couple of pics. Food log will be fun.
The journey will continue Evo Fam, just taking a different road now. 💚

Hi Evo Fam,
Not much I can update today.
There is improvement in my blood work and chest x-ray but the process is slow.
I will be in CCU until sometime next week and I may have heart shock treatment to re-set my irregular HR back to a regular rhythm.
Have a great weekend all.
Wow brother, bit of a roller-coaster you on right now. Glad to hear there is improvement on the blood work and chest xray! Fingers crossed all goes well with the ticker too mate, thinking of ya.
