I'm on the struggle bus with shedding some weight. This is not a cut cycle by any means considering my cycle ends around November (i.e., winter). But I think I came into the cycle carrying more bodyfat than necessary. I was thinking I wanted to be about 200 by the end of this cycle so when I come off I land in low 190s. I thought I was making good progress trending down to 204 last week, but then that crept up over the weekend and then this morning I have the heaviest weigh in since I started this cycle at 206.8.
I don't think I've deviated much from my meal days I've previously posted, except for maybe cranking up the protein.
Maybe the scale is misleading because I definitely must be gaining some muscle mass also. My body is responding to the testosterone, increased protein and the fact I haven't ever focused on Hypertrophy this much. Also, increased Test last 10 days from 300mg/week to 360mg/week and I think bumped diet another 25-50g of protein.
I'm going to start doing Myfitnesspal tracking again. Below is what I ate for breakfast, snack and lunch and what my plan is for the rest of the day. This is pretty close to what I've been doing the last month except I'm going to drop oatmeal from my breakfast and an apple from that snack 2. That's only place I really saw to save some carbs, except for maybe that protein bar.
I can also add some more cardio, maybe one or two 20-30min light zone 2 sessions. But I feel like I'm getting a pretty fair amount of cardio with my weekly swim and ~15-20min weighted vest dog walks a few times a week. I still hopped on my bike last week and just went out for a 60 minute bike ride. At the volume I'm lifting right now, anymore added cardio would probably be at the expense of some lifting.
Better to shed the fat now while i'm on Anavar then shed it later off cycle and risk losing gains? Just focus on hypertrophy now and take advantage of Test?
