Do you guys think when you are younger the dose of test should be lower than when you are older than 40? my nephew and I will be running
test he is 26 and this his second cycle, he is looking to run 600-700 mg per week for 12 weeks and this would be my first cycle , for mass gains, he says I should run the same dose but I'm 47 almost twice older than he is, should I go with a lower dose? thanks.

Being that this is your 1st Cycle.
If the Gear is Good.
500 Mg a Week will be more than sufficient................................. JP
P.S.
You get a whole lot out of the Gear, your 1st time around.

I am a keep it simple stupid sort of guy.

Yes, someone who is younger will naturally have higher testosterone levels then someone who is older but remember that when you are on cycle, your natural testosterone production will be shut down so that becomes pretty much irrelevant anyways.

IMO - you are kind of overthinking things. A simple testosterone cycle of 10-12 weeks at 400-500mg/week is your best option for a first cycle.

Here's what I recommend:

Weeks 1 - 10
testosterone e or cyp 500mg/week (inject 250mg twice per week)
aromasin 12.5mg every other day <- very important to prevent against estrogen related side effects like gyno and water retention.

After your cycle run the perfect PCT protocol: http://www.evolutionary.org/the-perfect-post-cycle-therapy-pct/

I'm 37 and had a test level of 405 before cycle. At 500mg/week of test E my level was 2677 on week 8. This was my first cycle. I'm satisfied with the results. Not mind-blowing, but good [emoji106]

The testosterone dosages should be the same regardless of the age, since with age your natural testosterone production reduces, but the exogeneous hormone that you will put into your body will always lead to same levels, no matter the age. So as @muskate has well pointed that out - your natural reduction of testosterone production will be irrelevant once you start using testosterone, and the same goes for the younger guys with higher T levels.

Age wise, as has been said, it's not a concern. You will shutdown (natural production will cease) regardless. However, from experience, it seems less is needed to give equal results to later steroid cycles. Now that point is often argued (from a medical and scientific point of view) but a majority will tell you there first cycle was the best for results and often it was the one they took the least amount on.

When on cycle, your natural testosterone shuts down, so age shouldn't really effect how much your dosage should be.
However, 500-750 mg a week for 12 weeks as a first time cycle along with the correct diet and training plan should be great and you should get some decent results!

Good luck with your cycle, and make sure to get the proper pct and ancillaries to use during your cycle!

it won't matter as been said

when you use exogenous hormones your body stops producing any of it altogether. so it isn't like you get to carry over what your body naturally produces

you are confusing supplements with anabolic steroids. like if you have good levels of iron and take an iron pill, you will have iron added to your body. steroids don't work like that. what you put in REPLACES what you have

Muskate really laid down the best first cycle. Regardless of age this will be very effective for you. Just focus on your diet and training and you will have a great run.
