Celery cleans teeth after meal?

Evo guys I know this is unrelated but I had to mention I talked about this to day with a bud that told me celery cleans your teeth when you eat it, which sounds weird to me that food could clean your teeth when it is food that actually causes build up and plaque. Do any of you guys think this would be a good practice to add for oral health, to eat some celery after each meal when you can't b**** right away?

I asked my brother in law who is a dentist.. The exact response was..

I wouldn't eat it just to clean my teeth
Lol
any fibrous foods can assist in reducing plaque
nothing beats a toothb**** and elbow grease

So reading between the lines it can assist! Lol

It's going to do next to nothing to help clean your teeth. Remember that vegetables, especially fruit, contain natural sugars that can lead to cavities.

The best thing you can due to reduce your likelihood of getting cavities is b****, floss and mouth rinse 2-3 times per day.

It is best to use a floss rather than rely on celery for clean teeth. It may be beneficial in a way, but it does not stay even close to the classic tooth hygiene tools.

I could see where the idea comes from. I mean we gives dogs nasty bones that supposedly clean their teeth. So would i say eat the celery every day, no, we have much better means.

Good camping Tip ** lol

This may come as a shock but the number one food to clean your teeth and polish them is actually strawberries. It goes against anything you have ever been taught or the good old saying "if it stains your shirt it will stain your teeth"....strawberries will actually polish and clean your teeth very well.

I'm not sure about celery....I do know celery is an excellent late night snack as it has calming properties.

A toothb**** and fluoride is an endocrine disruptor that can affect your bones, brain, thyroid gland, pineal gland and even your blood sugar levels. Most US drinks fluoridated water in the US alone than in the rest of the world combined. Ha, Stick to celery!
