Is it recommended to drink coffee and take pre-workout? Even though my pre workout doesnt contain caffeine should I avoid it or is it going to give me a benefit?
 
Yes you can take non stim pre workout with black coffee

stimulants/caffeine DO NOT help your workouts or help you grow muscle. i don't care what fictitious study some supplement website claims it does. they actually HARM your workout

you can try the experiment yourself with a heart rate monitor which tracks yourself. take stims and workout, and don't take them the next day.. you will notice when you take them your heart rate is elevated the entire workout. that is NOT good. you are burning out your engine and actually wearing yourself out. makes no sense
 
I'm not anti caffeine but I do think most people abuse caffeine.

1 cup of black coffee - no problem. 2 cups is even ok. Anything past that and I would drink decaf
 
Recommended? Probably not. Everyone is different. Caffeine effects me different that it does you than it does another person here. I never take a formal “pre- workout”. Usually coconut water, water/creatine, or black iced coffee is my pre workout if I go in the morning.

Not by me it isn't recommended. Hell, I'm 60-years-old, I train with great intensity, and never do I use coffee, "pre-workouts" nor any other so-called bodybuildng supplement. You don't need it eihter.
 
I abuse all stim and my result was zero now i don't take any stim I just focus sleep ,when your cns are fresh and rest then you feel more energetic to perform your workout

It is fine if you are not adding caffeinated products together. Do you need it though?......that is up to you. Unless you had a terrible sleep then really you shouldn't need caffeine just to get your ass to the gym.
