How much protein can we absorb?

I wanted to know how many grams the body can absorb of protein ? I am wondering because I want to create the ultimate meal prep.

Your body absorbs everything you eat. Excess protein will be turned into glucose and used as an energy source.

That being said, your body can only utilize so much protein in a single sitting. Aim for 40-60g per meal 4-6 meals per day

last i checked if you go to an all you can eat buffet everyone has guts.

eating a lot is not the solution to building muscle. you will gain fat though

don't beleive the BS hype that eating like ronnie coleman will make you look like him. doesn't work like that. you don't have his genetics sorry

I think what he is saying is he wants to create a meal plan and wants to incorporate the “ultimate “ amount of protein.

I aim for 1.5 grams per pound of body weight. Even 2 grams would be ok. Start there and see how it goes. Spilt of course into 5/6 meals per day.

The simple answer is that you absorb everything you eat. Can you imagine if you could eat an entire pizza but somehow you only absorb a certain amount of it? It just doesn't work like that.

It should also be stated that, contrary to popualr belief, excess protein will not harm the kidneys.

I've heard that the body can't absorb more than 20-30g of protein at a time. Some people claim that your body utilizes all the protein you take in

does it matter? in the end just eat 2-3 healthy meals a day (nothing processed or containing anything processed, yes this includes most oils and condiments)... lift weights consistently. sleep.. and your genetics will take you as far as you can go

this idea that you need X amount of protein and have to count calories is a farce made up by coaches to sell you their copy/paste diet programs

Random numbers like that make no sense. Just think about it logically.

Do you think a 250 pound bodybuilder and 125 pound woman will be able to absorb the same amount of protein? Of course not.

As a general rule, I like 30g of protein per meal for females. 60g/meal for males.

I personally have experimented a lot over the years with protein intake , meal size meal frequency etc .

In my 20’s I ate massive amounts of food (8 meals a day)
It worked well then .

Now In my early 30’s I eat 5 smaller meals a day and way less junk thrown in .

I looked the best i ever look now and more importantly I’m healthy on the inside
