So I understand and respect companies that prefer to go prop blend OR full transparency but why would a company have both in their catalog?

you go the prop blend for the simple season you don't want people knowing what is exactly in it.. this discourages people copying your formula and/or allows you to go cheap with ingredients/dosages

Although this is true...MOST companies will use a proprietary blend so they can only put trace amounts of the really expensive good ingredients in the formula as 'label dressing'

The consumer doesn't get to know how much is in the actual product but they see the ingredient in the ingredients list and think 'awesome!!!'

I personally want to know exactly what's in my body so I never buy supplements with proprietary blends.

Some people DO use proprietary blends as a scapegoat to hide the fact they are not giving you the proper amounts in their products but NOT ALL.. i was specifically advised by very big professionals helping me with DGA that the blend that we came up had to be protected since you CANNOT patent a blend on a supplement and the only way to do that without being directly knocked off was to do it with a proprietary blend... so there are good and bad reasons to do it.. i can personally guarantee you that dga is done with precision to ensure you get everything you are supposed to be getting with each product... the reviews out there are speaking for themselves

If it is a prop blend just make sure you read the ingredients. They will have to be listed from the largest amount to the smallest amount. If you notice the active ingredients you want are way down the list then you know they are poorly dosed.
