Anyone have any suggestions on best Amp opener.... Use my thumb now but it getting old....I have shit load of amps so I might need to invest in one...
I usually just use a kitchen towel but I have seen people get cut lol, do you mean something like this

Yeh dude that what I am looking for.....I never cut myself but my brother said he had small glass in his one time from using his hands to one it....so I want to invest in a opener since I have about 40 unopened amps.....Seems like it be easier....Thanks bro

What I use at work is an old style bic pen cap.....to break the tops of reagent amps. Or even a sharpie cap might work. You still might have to use a small hand towel just in case the amps are not scored completely and are stubborn.

I rahter not think about it and have a quick tool to snap and pop top.....I have done it with my hands for years......But when you look at a box of amps it seems logical to just get a great amp opener.....Fo REAL....Thanks to the KID7

Looks solid there bro......Might have to requisite that for work. Looks better and cheaper than what the Hach Co. charges for their amp opener!

Yeah it looks good but I haven't used it yet. Looking forward to it. Hopefully this week or next. Haven't decided when I am going to start yet.
You should also get a filter syringe on safe side in case any small glass get In There

so I just used http://www.theampouleopener.com/ It worked perfectly. I am happy because I hate breaking them in my hands, I had one explode into bits in my hands. I will be using this opener from now on. It broke it clean and will very little force.

If I need to Open an Ampule.
I take my Thumb & Index Finger.
Then I just Apply Light Pressure - then give the Amp 1/4 Turn - Light Pressure again - 1/4 turn again.
Buy the Second Time around the Top Pops without a Problem.
Been doing it this way for a Long Long time......................................... JP
P.S.
I don't use anything Larger than a 25 Gauge Needle to Draw Up with - so no need for a Filter Needle either.
Honestly can't remember ever getting a Glass Shard inside the Ampule.

this works best. finding a tube that fits over the end perfectly. take a nail file if you want and score around the amp perimeter, slide tube on and snap it off
