Lowering LDL

I have a natural disposition to high LDL levels. Moderately high at age 22 and Im now 24. I attributed it to excessive egg intake at first but the more I learn the more I think it is genetic.

My question, does anyones have any insight on guggulsterones and decreased ldl. Guggs have a lot of things bodybuilders can benefit from including thyroid function, but it can have a catabolic effect Ive read.

Also, Ive heard plant sterols can have a positive effect on LDL. Any advice on whether Univeral Plant Sterols could have potential in this category. It seems like it should if it is Phytosterol based.

thanks

first off eggs do not cause poor cholesterol. that nonsense was started in the 80's by dumb doctors and dieticians who believed that foods that CONTAIN cholesterol, will somehow cause cholesterol problems when consumed. it is the most ridiculous thing ever. just like if you eat foods high in fat, you will get fat. or if you eat foods rich in vitamin b12, you won't have a b12 deficiency.. it is completely assinine and makes no sense to anyone who understands nutrition on all counts ... what if i said if you eat fish you will turn into a fish ? that is just as dumb right?

as far as your other question poor cholesterol levels are simply one of many affluent diseases. no it isn't genetic.. your parents had the same problem, maybe your grandparents too.. but keep going back in time i fucking guarantee you that your great grandparents and great great grandparents did not have the same problem. in fact heart disease did not even exist until the 1950's in the USA. before that only the super wealthy had it. hundreds of years ago the only people who had it were kings and queens who could eat what they wanted, when they wanted.

the best way to fix cholesterol is to stop throwing toxic shit at your body.

There are a lot of natural foods that can help with cholesterol, but you also need to take a look at your diet now to see what can be contributing to the issue.

What's your diet and exercise like?

particular foods play a part but not as much as it is how your macro breakdown looks. What does your diet look like?

That’s interesting, never thought about that one. I balance macros for hypertrophy but never for anything else.

What ratio would you say is best for this purpose?
