Y use creatine but no nono i like ethyl for me its better i think its good its like if you ask to take protein just out of cycle

Although creatine does have testosterone-like effects, it doesn't act as steroid hormone. Instead ,it's a mediator of some of the androgens" anabolic effects. In fact ,steroid users get far more out of their cycles if they load up with creatine along with their drugs. Androgens are among the hormones that can force the entry of creatine into the muscle cells. While there's a clear relationship between muscle gains and increases in muscle creatine stores, unfortunately, the relationship is not as obvious when it comes to increases in muscle mass. Animal based studies have shown that the muscles of untrained rats take up as much creatine as the muscles of trained rats, but the ANABOLIC effects of creatine are only obvious in trained rats. Therefore, training increases the muscles sensitivity to the anabolic actions of creatine. (Although it's not related to this article, the study also demonstrated that the anabolic effects of creatine are DIRECT, and not mediated by water retention. In fact, in the 1970's American and Russian studies pointed out a DIRECT anabolic effect of creatine on muscle cells). Testosterone increases the muscles' sensitivity to the anabolic properties of creatine in addition to enhancing the creatine build up in muscle fibers. It's also obvious that part of the strength gains people experience while on steroids are mediated by an increase in muscle creatine stores. An interesting discovery A/S users have made is that they should dramatically increase their creatine intake during a cycle boost the potency of the drugs. Anecdotal evidence from A/S users points out that it takes at least 10-15 grams (maintenance) of creatine a day to visibly enhance the anabolic potency of a steroid stack. There are probably good reasons fir the increased creatine requirement when androgen levels are high. As mentioned above, steroids increase the muscle uptake of creatine, and if the muscles above, are ready to accept more creatine, why not give it to them. I also think that even though steroids enhance creatine synthesis, they may increase creating degradation as well-so more creatine is used up every day. That could be due to an increase in muscle creatine turnover and also the fact that an elevated muscle protein synthesis rate will likely consume creatine at a faster rate. Other reasons for a higher creatine requirement may be indirect. Because the muscles of drug users are stronger and receive more training, they may waste greater amounts of creatine during training. Once inside the muscle, creatine provides not only an anabolic effect, but also a rapidly mobilized source of fuel. Muscle protein synthesis is a process that wastes great amounts of energy. Anabolism is an ATP-dependent process, which means that it's essential for protein synthesis. If the cellular level of ATP is reduced even a little, IT STOPS ANABOLISM. So even if you increase the testosterone content of your muscles, nothing will happen if your ATP is low. Creatine supports anabolism by providing energy to the muscle... Well fellas, it looks like it might be a good idea to stock up on creatine when you're grabbing your protein powder for those bulking cycles, hehheh................AnalogMan

OK, lets throw a rock into the pond, excuse me Analogman. What type of Creatine is your favorite? I know I've tried quite a few. Just doing some Pharma Grade Monohydrate now.

Creatine monohydrate is the form used in vast majority of studies done and is a proven winner, but the marketing machines of supplement companies are constantly pumping up fancy-sounding stuff like creatine citrate, creatine ethyl ester, liquid creatine, creatine nitrate, buffered creatine, creatine hydrochloride, and others.

These variations are certainly more expensive than creatine monohydrate, but are they any more effective? Let's find out.

Creatine Citrate is creatine bound to citric acid, and research indicates it to be no different than creatine monohydrate in terms of absorption and effectiveness. There is evidence that creatine citrate is more water soluble than monohydrate, but this plays no role in muscle absorption or effectiveness-only palatability.

Creatine Ethylester is a form of creatine that is supposed to convert back to usable creatine in the body, and is usually marketed as having a better absorption rate that monohydrate. Too bad it's not true. In fact creatine ethylester is actually less effective than creatine monohydrate, on par with a placebo. Research has indicated that this is due to the fact that once creatine ethylester enters your body. It's quickly converted into an inactive substance know as "creatine".

Liquid Creatine is simply a form of creatine-usually monohydrate-suspended in liquid. It has been shown to be less effective than creatine monohydrate. Due to the breakdown of creatine into the inactive form "creatine" when suspended in a solution for several days.

Creatine Nitrate is an extremely water soluble form of creatine that may be more drinkable and easier on the stomach, but no research has yet indicated it to be more effective than the monohydrate form.

Buffered Creatine is a form of creatine touted to out-perform monohydrate due to a higher pH level. Research indicates otherwise, may enhance performance.

Creatine Hydrochloride is creatine bound with hydrochloric acid. It's turned into a basic creatine molecule by stomach acid and no research has yet proven it to be any more effective than monohydrate. Like other forms of creatine, creatine HCL may be more water soluble than monohydrate, but this has no effect on absorption.

Creatine Malate is creatine bound with malic acid. While malic acid alone may enhance performance, it hasn't been researched in conjunction with creatine.

Creatine Pyruvate is creatine bound with pyruvic acid. Research has shown it to produce higher plasma levels of creatine, but it's no more effective than monohydrate in terms of absorption. That said, there is evidence that creatine pyruvate is more effective than creatine citrate. Which would imply it's more effective than monohydrate too. Other research contradicts these findings, however, showing creatine pyruvate to be ineffective in improving the endurance or sprinting performance of cyclists-an activity that creatine monohydrate positively affects, more research on creatine pyruvated is needed.

Creatine monohydrate is the best bank for your buck! If creatine bothers your stomach, however, try a more water soluble form of creatine such as micronized creatine, or creatine citrate, nitrate or hydrochloride.

My Creatine Supplement is "ON" Brand Unflavored, Micronized Creatine Monohydrate Powder.

So theirs the rock Brother JP...And as always, your dead on your " P/C/F" 100% ( My Option ) ....................................AnalogMan

AnalogMan, I just saw one called Tri-Creatine Malate, is this the same as Creatine Malate, as I am unfamiliar with either. It seems as though the Supplement Co's will try almost anything to make their Creatine (Special).
By the way, I love this Big Friggin Rock, thank you again!

Most other creatine supplements are combined with amino acids, vitamins and nutrients that help it to be adsorbed more quickly . Tri creatine malate is a proprietary blend of creatine and maltic acid, meaning that it is combined on a cellular level. This allows the body to adsorb more creatine, which leads to higher ATP levels. Most Tri creatine malate brands are on the exspensive side, mainly because of unsubstantiated claims made by manufactures. There is "no" medical evidence available that support claims of faster weight gains or muscle development............AnalogMan

This is for eatliftsleeprepeat and a couple other folks. All creatine in not equal, and important, like I say, stay aboard, you may learn something new.. Never know??....AnalogMan

I use monohydrate all year long whether on cycle or off, it has always done good for me. I have tried some of the other hyped up type of creatines in the past and felt no noticeable difference so I will continue with the most cost effective method to supplement creatine.
