Has anyone ever pinned the Vastus Medialius (the teardrop muscle above the knee) and if so, how did that work for you?

If you are Accustomed to Walking without Limping.
Then under No Circumstances pin the Teardrop.

If you do, then this is what will happen.

1st you will Tear Up.
Then you will want to Drop to your Knees from the Pain of trying to Walk without Limping........................... JP

lol sounds comical as well as painful... is this advice from experience JP?

Not my Personal.
I've heard and seen the result's though.
Not a Good place to Pin, try the outer quad....................... JP

I have not done it but I do know there are a lot of nerves there. and the fact that the VMO really kicks in for knee ext in the last 10-15 degrees of ext, you would probably have a hard time walking correctly or straight legged... Just like others said, not a good idea. but if you do it, write back and tell us how it went...

Lower quad makes it hard for me to lift my leg. I can't imagine pinning just above my knee. Fuck that.

Pinning the Teardrop is up there with Pinning the Calf.

I'm just not Too sure as to which one is more Painful.................................... JP

I always pin my delts and quads, very rarely glutes and just wanted some feedback on the teardrop, which I will not be the guinea pig on lol.

Everyone is different. I'm very pip prone so, for me, pinning any part of the quad sucks ass. Glutes and delts work fine for me. Still very mild pip though

Glutes, Quads, lats, Traps, Chest.

Can NOT imagine Calves or Teardrops. OMG!

You pin your traps and lats... Damn, I don't think I could reach those locations to pin them correctly. You must have someone pinning them for you, right?
I was wondering how many different pin locations this post would get.

You can pin that muscle higher up into the leg, but I've never seen it done on the actual head of the muscle. You know the bottom of your foot has a 18 different muscles you could try... J/k. I'd avoid the PIP as best I could.

Some folks are more flexible than others. Myself? I am not. What I do have is a sink in my half bath that allows me to brace my elbow against a raised section on the sides and still see what I'm doing in the mirror. I can reach ""fairly" well, the locations mentioned as well as the outer delts without getting too out of shape as far as lining things up straight in for the injection.

Necessity is the mother of invention. If you really want to accomplish something, we usually figure out a way to do it. :)

If you're pinning ed @5 ml.. that's 2 syringes atleast.. you start to get scar tissue. More locations more time to heal .. less scar tissue. People also believe spot injections help stretch the fascia which allows the muscle to grow easier.. is it true? Idk.. I only pin quads and glutes.. but people swear by it.. also pip prone guys pin the muscle they workout right after.. helps break oil up and less pip.. or no pip

Interesting. I'll have to give it a shot when I get started (get it?!). I do squats at least 2x a week and plan to pin in glutes, post workout would be ideal for me if I lined it up with squat days to avoid pip.

Cant imagine pinning lats lmfao. How do you not pin glutes though?

Yes and do it if you can handle the pain for a week :-)

Mine are now conditioned to it so it's not too bad. First pin felt like I had fluid on my knee for a week.

You probably did have fluid in your knee for a week LOL

Fuck the teardrop. I'm touching it now and I can feel how sensitive it is. I might start flutes again tho only cus it's such a big muscle there's no reason not to dump 2-3 ml in there if u can
