If a person is highly stressed, depressed and anxious, wouldnt gaining mass be nearly impossible without being on any test? Im having a feeling that being off is a waste of my time because I cannot help the fact that I have mental issues. And I have only dabbled with gear in the past so Im not that muscular. I did think about anti-depressants but I am worried about Rx drugs. I need to get my brain tested for chemical imbalances. Without insurance, can anybody recommend an online site with this test? Thanks alot.

I cant recommend any site for the issues that you mentioned. I can recommend not doing AAS. You literally playing with a loaded gun when you are changing your hormones while fight mental illness. I hate the term mental illness but it's the common nomenclature.

I'm a fucking mess and I've built respectable mass for years; I understand why you would imagine stress on the mind could disrupt the body's repair ability. To an extent this is true, but probably not as much as you're thinking. You're giving aas too much credence.

Also, there are NO biological tests for mental illness - strictly symptom driven diagnosis.

that is correct. balance yourself out first

people who complain about stress and anxiety annoy me especially when they do nothing to solve the issue. there are some SIMPLE changes you can make in your life to fix this besides wasting your time getting scammed going to a psychologist every 2 weeks

1. stop drinking caffeine
2. stop looking at porn and playing video games
3. learn proper sleeping habits (see my sleep article)
4. take up yoga daily or learn to meditate
5. eliminate negative people from your life entirely, that means no more going to bars, clubs, or other places full of other depressed anxious people.

Following #5 of this list will solve 80% of your problems. You are only as good as your worst friend.

I wouldn't fuck with aas while having these issues. It negatively impacts my emotional and mental well being but I have no anxiety normally so I can deal with it for a couple months.

We all have those times in our lifetime when shit happens. Equally, as I have written in the past some aspects of life are meant to elicit a stress type response and one shouldn't always look to drug their way out. From Best Man Speeches to asking'the one' to marry you. These do not require xanax of coke.

Now I also know a bunch of fella s local to me who talk about stress. Yet they do recreational drugs and ignore the come down and it's really quite normal reaction which can feel like stress. Carry on getting high at weekends and feeling like you don't wanna leave the house on Monday... but don't call that stress,.

Then, there's patterns of behavior. If, when stressed, you follow the feeling of wanting to stay in bed and not leave the house then, guess what, that lack of fresh air, meeting people and other distractions wont help you like it can. If you drink cos of lack of access to your kids then guess what... you're gonna be that drunk guy who never sees his kids.

Now it is entirely possible to hit the gym and gain even with some stressors and anxiety in your life. Heck, I'd argue the endorphins (a feel good hormone) from hitting the gym will help. That sense of well-being and the reinforcement that will come from a new PB and looking good can only be of benefit.

Obviously it's not ideal to have these issues. I have seen that the very biggest and strongest men are, almost without exception (I can think of a handful), chilled as fu*k. Any stress they might have is used to fuel workouts. And yes, of course, levels of test are likely to be higher in naturals.

We have seen a few times on the forums that those with serious anxiety and or mental health issues have not always done well on anything except moderate doses of gear. Also gear doesn't turn those with zero issues into examples of roid rage cases but it will exaggerate issues if you DO have them. In some (typically low levels - although within normal ranges) test can be a feel good hormone.
