Tennis elbow

Has anyone got tennis elbow from weight training? I majorly over worked doing 5 sets of 10 dips superset with seated dips at 150lbs 5 sets of 50 and it's been 5 days since and my left outer elbow is steady getting worse to the point at times I can barely move my arm I would think 5 days it would be better by now. Think I should lay off or just work thru it every thing I've read says weight training helps prevent tennis elbow so I'm confused on that one

You can try Resting your Elbow, which is almost Impossible.
Every time you Rotate your Wrist, your Forearm is involved, so it translates to the Elbow.

I was having problems turning a Doorknob and picking things up if I had to Open my Hand Wide to grab it.
So I went to a Physical Therapist and had the Graston Technique done.
I posted a Thread on it while I was getting it done..................................... JP

Yes rest your elbow as much as possible. It'll only get work with continued use. I've gotten it plenty of times to the point where i can only do 6-8 pull ups and it's so damn painful.

I forgot to mention I usually can only do one set if it starts to hurt pretty bad, then I have to head over to the lat pulldown to get the rest of the work in

I've had it a few times in each elbow, lasts about 8 months. I finally figured out how to get rid of it with range of movement stretches

Dbol Breakfast of Champions

My little bro gets this every couple months he does some stretches and wears a compression sleeve if it gets bad

Speaking of elbows, both of mine have been throbbing the last few days. Doesn't even really feel like its the joint but damn its painful, Especially when I squat. I gotta figure out something myself to help these things out.

There's a brace used for cubital tunnel syndrome, it keeps your arm straight through the night while you sleep.

It works really well, the bending of the arm irritates the injury even more during sleep

Probably doesn't help that I sleep on my stomachs with my arm bent and my head on my arm under my pillow lol.

Yes that's exactly what the brace is for lol

You can also wrap the arm in a bath towel if you don't want to purchase the brace. Works just as good

My only thing is I can't sleep any other way or I get sleep paralysis... I may just have to pick up a really good joint supplement and start icing my elbows after training.

Yes icing the elbow will help, but rest is the only way out. Mine took a little over 6 months to heal after I decided to finally give it a rest

I've gotten it a couple of times. Hard to avoid when you're pressing/pulling once or twice a week. Rest is probably your best bet. Maybe a deload week?

If you are having tennis elbow issues, you need to give your elbow as much as rest. Sad you can't do any weight training exercise as of now. Also try to consult some specialist in this regard.

Dude believe it or not. Go get some B-100 complex and take one a day from now on and in 3 to 4 weeks it will be a lot better if not gone. I didn't believe it either till I did it. I had the problem for 4 years and after going to doctors and all kind of shit. My buddy told me about it and bammmm it gone. Try it bro nothing to lose. B-100 Complex

I was a tennis pro back in the days, and I had to leave the sport because of the horrible tennis elbow I had. Then, I messed up my second elbow with boxing. The pain was horrible, and these elbows impaired me pretty much. Over the years nothing would help me, and only Ostarine made a difference - a noticeable difference. Then I added N2Joints RX, and the things got even better. So I really recommend this stack, because it does not cover up the pain and inflammation, but it genuinely heals the joint related injuries. Try it out, and I am sure that your tennis elbow will be gone rather soon.

Thanks for all the input guys got the ostarine Gona try the b 100 also rest a week 2 max can't see being out any longer

Lev u use ostarine as preventive ie. Everyday or just when flares up until gone and if as preventive u lower dosage or just hold the normal 20mg Ed

B100 is for nervous system not understanding how it will benefit tendons

You think it unwise to just do forearm workouts to help strengthen that tendon with light weight since the forearm muscle is connected to that tendon

Some times we gotta take a tiny bit of time off to prevent more serious injuries developing. See a physio, have a few days off upper body, just hammer legs for 4- 5 days, then come back hopwfully better than before ;)

well I hope nobody on here said to take anti inflammatories

but with this its a classic example of over training combined with perhaps bad form.

back off the area and let the body heal.. inflammation is the body trying to heal itself so let it

you will be fine, but if you keep pounding away it will only get worse

Best thing is to rest man. I know its hard but it wont get better if you keep beating it up. Just gonna get worse.

Use it everyday as a preventative measure. 25mg/day.

I strongly suggest using it in combination with n2joint rx as Lev suggested. I know n2joint RX isn't cheap but it is an extremely good product. I don't have tennis elbow but I have a bad knee from playing AAA hockey. Ostarine + n2joint rx has done wonders for my overall joint mobility and function.

Alternate 5 minutes of heat and 5 minutes of ice on your elbow before and after lifting. That should help with the inflammation and pain in the joint.

I would also recommend looking into acupuncture and getting sessions 1-2 times a week until your elbow feels better.

I did a lot of band type exercises to help with my elbow from baseball, its pretty similar to tennis elbow. But of course with rest also

I had this a while ago was repping 90s overhead to fast and that's what started it. I eventually used a tennis elbow brace to help and it worked well! Havent had the problem in a year

The problem I have is numbness and tingling in the hands. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and one of my arms will be a sleep. Very annoying issue.

yoir body will let you know when you need to rest and this sounds like a classic case

It got to the point for me where the pain would wake me up in the middle of the night. And even the slightest bump would cause a lot of pain. Like Steve said, I had to finally take it easy and now a couple months later it already feels good as new.
