Test Question

I'm starting a cycle and want to just put on some lean mass. I've been told by friends and agree that any cycle, even cutting, should include some sort of test. I have seen people write that you should not include test in a cutting cycle because of the water retention but I've found that even a low dose of test when cutting seems to help. What do you guys think?

Testosterone should be the base of every steroid cycle you do. At the very least, use a testosterone replacement therapy dosage of around 200mg/week. Not including a testosterone base in your cycle is asking for low testosterone side effects like low libido.

If you are prepping for a competition or photo shoot, you want to stop taking all compounds that cause water retention like test, gh etc 2 weeks out but they should still be included in your cycle leading up to the event. You just drop them the last 2 weeks.

Using a testosterone base will make any cycle much more effective.

the whole 'test should be your base' is the biggest crock of bro science you see peddled on forums. this is the biggest myth that drives me crazy that i read.

all steroids are derived from testosterone, not plastic or rubber lol. so hormones are HORMONES. if you can't gain on just tren or just anadrol or just dbol then i'm sorry but you don't know how to eat or train.

now having said that lets say you wanted to run a mild anabolic compound like var or tbol or primo. running those solo would be a waste because they bind so well to SHBG and would be enhanced with an androgenic kick. so in those cases adding some test in there would benefit you. but you could also just add in tren too.

the funny thing is guys in the 70s and 80s rarely ran testosterone in their cycles. at that time there were no AI's so they knew to avoid aromatizing compounds. they ran deca, primo, orals.. stuff that didn't aromatize like crazy.

Steroids don't burn fat so in theory you don't need any test at all. It will help hang on to muscle while you cut but you can also accomplish that with SARMs like Ostarine or LGD. For me I like to run test with all my cycles. If cutting I will still run 500mg but anything from say 200-500mg should be fine.

You always need test. Just a little bit at least. That is because your body uses testosterone for its basic functions so if you use other compounds, your natural testosterone production halts and you have 0 of it in your system. Therefore some thing will stop working (for example your little friend below the buckle belt).

I am in that same boat where I believe test should be a part of any steroid cycle. Just bc some bodybuilder did it in the 70's does not mean it is the healthiest or best way to do it. Again just just hear more bro science when someone uses stuff like that instead of actual science to back their claims. Just trust me when I say that you want to keep as many hormone levels in their respective "healthy" ranges as possible. Obv when using steroids some of these values will fluctuate but using the proper ancillaries and gear dosages will limit just how much they fluctuate. If you do not use test in your cycle it will plummet to 0 and stay that way the entire cycle. This is just unhealthy no matter what your goals are. You need to be more clear about your goals. Cutting is too generic, you should have an idea of just how much weight you want to gain and what your diet will be like. This will help determine what compounds best suit you. If you can provide me with some more info about your weight, height, bf %, years training, caloric intake, and just what you want your physique to look like I can recommend a perfect regimen for you.

I've seen people gain on different compounds and I've also saw people try to cut with different compounds...But I am old school where the school of thought was always Test is King...There are designer AAS that people use for all kinds of different things and maybe accomplish their goals and maybe not...I like test better than anything out there simply because of the way it makes me feel...But I can cut on test alone...Cutting is the same as bulking in the sense that whatever your goal of the cycle will depend upon your diet.

The way I learned, for the most benefit of any cycle Diet is first, training is second, and AAS is third. In that order. NO exceptions.
