I'm thinking about getting me a stack of supplements, but some people online say some of them are a waste of money, which ones should I avoid? t hank you.

Most of the supplements on the market are junk to be honest. The supplement industry is a HUGE industry. Everyone wants their piece of the pie.

Most supplement companies spend all their money on marketing. They produce the lowest quality products with very low active ingredients - but great marketing. That's the sad reality. Most people who purchase supplements know nothing about proper dosages, etc.

Stick with the basics - whey protein, creatine monohydrate, a multivitamin and fish oil. You can get everything you need from the board sponsor n2bm.com and costco

If you have a particular Supplement, please post the name.

Muskate gave you a Good Basic List of Supplements........................ JP

i agree that most supplements are just crap. cookie cutter crap and people pay more attention to the label and the name of the person pitching it.

that is why i like n2bm.. their products are solid. go check their stuff out

Different people have different needs too. Tons of people use protein powders but honestly, I don't need one. I get enough protein without needing a supplement. I think you just want to look at your diet, fill in the gaps, and look at any other goals you may have.

I use a brand called Phd pharma protein isolate which apparently was a popular choice a few years back, just for the fact that it is lactose free and gluten free and it already has the bcaa's and glutamine added. However I use this for the purpose intended only, a supplement, and I try to get my nutrients from a proper diet.

Just so you know.
No Protein should ever have Gluten in it, that's used in only the Cheapest Shit made.
They use it to boost the Protein Content, but it's Worthless and causes Inflammation.

All Protein Isolates are Lactose Free.
But you can also find some Protein Concentrates that are Lactose Free.
There's maybe less than a Handful of Companies that make Lactose Free Protein Concentrate.................. JP
P.S.
Musclefeast is one I know of, off the top of my head, that makes Lactose Free Protein Concentrate.
I don't recall the others, but remember seeing them over the years.
