Veggie drinks

As a college student, money is naturally tight, as is time. I don't buy veggies mainly because they are somewhat pricey (especially if fresh not frozen) and they can potentially take a decent amount of time to prepare. So instead of eating actual veggies, I drink a veggie mix instead. Is this bad or good for me to do that ?

Can't afford veggies? Come on bro. You can get huge bags of frozen california mix (broccoli, cauliflower and carrot) for under 5 bucks at any costco or superstore.

Eat your veggies. Stop making excuses

the body knows the difference between a powder and actual food

it is the same argument i have with guys who think protein powders are a good idea over a grassfed steak for example.

having said that yeah people enjoy their shakes.. i like drinking a greens powder in the morning cause it is full of electroylytes

Yep. You don’t need to buy fresh and prepare them. I get California mix from costco for like 8$ for 5 decent sized bags.

I completely agree on the Costco bag. I do the same. Frozen veggies are just fine.

Yes. There have been some misconceptions about frozen veggies, fruits etc being much less nutritious but this isn't quite the truth. Studies have shown that processing, transportation, storage and things like that do have some degree of impact on the nutrient content but all in all the difference between frozen vs fresh is fairly minimal.

Your absolutely right. They are much more affordable these days in the frozen food section. I bought 10 bags for 10 USD of various veggies just a few days ago.
