Palumboism

What is Palumboism?

Palumboism is the name of the condition found in individuals who have developed an enlarged stomach from abusing human growth hormone (HGH) and insulin. In fact, it is also known as GH gut and roid gut.

However, it was originally named after Dave Palumbo, who developed one of the worst GH guts of all time during his time competing as a bodybuilder.

Who is Dave Palumbo?

These days Dave Palumbo is a retired national level bodybuilder, but he was known as one of the freakiest bodybuilders of all time and nicknamed Dave ‘Jumbo’ Palumbo. His nickname makes perfect sense, since Dave is renowned for competing at body weights close to 300 pounds. Interestingly, from 1995 to 2004 Dave attempted to turn professional in 16 qualifying events, but always came just short of earning the highly coveted IFBB pro card. His best placing was at the 2003 NPC USA Championships, where he won the super heavy weight class and lost the overall by a one-point decision.

However, as impressive as a bodybuilder Dave was, he is more famous for being the CEO and founder of the online magazine RXmuscle and the supplement company Species Nutrition. Additionally, Dave Palumbo is also a contest prep coach who is well known for the ketogenic diets he regularly makes competitors follow.

How can I prevent getting Palumboism?

Bodybuilders use HGH and insulin for their profound effects on muscle growth and recovery. Nonetheless, the problem is that if the two drugs are abused the internal organs will also grow, which causes the extended stomach.

Therefore, maintaining a high level of muscle insulin sensitivity will prevent insulin from causing internal organ growth. Luckily, you can increase your body’s muscle insulin sensitivity by supplementing with a nutrient partitioner, such as N2slin. N2slin supplementation is a smart idea even if you aren’t using exogenous insulin because insulin resistance promotes fat storage in the abdominal region.

Furthermore, a great alternative to HGH is the SARM Nutrobal (MK-677). This compound is an HGH analogue, and it chemically signals the pituitary gland to increase HGH production. Since your body itself is producing the HGH when you use Nutrobal, this hormone won’t be in a large enough quantity to promote internal organ growth.
