Introduction

Evan

Welcome to another episode of the Evolutionary.org podcast.  In this podcast #612, Steve and Mobster discuss Evan Centopani and his life and career. They also go over his social media influence, diet, and training, and the guys speculate on his steroid cycle based on what we know he likes and has talked about.

Early life and career

Steve starts the segment with some background information on Evan Centopani.  He says he was born in Connecticut in 1981, and had a lot of obesity issues as a young child.  Once he was 12 years old he was already well over 200 pounds and very overweight for his age.  To counter this, he started to do a lot of jogging and then took up weight training, which resulted in him cutting down 80+ pounds.

Once he was in his 20's he decided to get into competitive bodybuilding.  He did a 2005 amateur show and won the heavyweight class and overall title.  The next year, he also won the NPC Junior Championships.  The following year, he earned his pro card at the NPC National Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships.

His peak stats are 5'10'' and 260 pounds. In the offseason, he gets up to 300 pounds.

The guys talk about his competitions as a pro which include:

2009 New York Pro - 1st

2011 Flex Pro - 1st

2011 Arnold Classic - 4th

2012 Arnold Classic - 3rd

2012 Mr. Olympia - 8th

2013 IFBB Tampa Pro - 1st

2013 Mr. Olympia - 13th

2014 Arnold Classic - 5th

2014 IFBB Australia Pro Grand Prix - 3rd

2016 Arnold Classic Australia - 5th

He can still be found training at Powerhouse Gym in New Haven, CT which is the gym he credits for taking him to the next level.  He also earned a bachelor's degree, and he has several relatives who also are well-known athletes including an uncle who was a pro wrestler.

Social media influence

Evan is very active on social media and he is on several podcasts where he openly talks about steroids, diet, training, and other fitness-related topics.  His website https://centopani.com/ is full of interesting articles and links to different things he promotes.

Steve says he was very impressed going over his articles because they are full of very good info.  He talks about his very impressive water article where he goes over 20-25 different brands and ranks them.

Mobster says that he is also known for his involvement with Animal Pak, which is a very good-selling vitamin.

Diet

Evan has put out a ton of diet information.  He is a guy who has proven he can make himself super fat by eating what his parents gave him growing up, then cutting down by cleaning up his diet, and also bulking up huge to 300 pounds.

His contest diet is super simple and efficient. Steve goes over it.

Meal 1: 6 whole eggs

Meal 2: 8oz chicken, 1/3 cup macadamia nuts

Meal 3: 50g Iso whey, 2 tbsp peanut butter

Meal 4: 8oz chicken, 1/3 cup macadamia nuts

Meal 5: 8 oz steak, 2 cups broccoli, 2 tbsp olive oil

Meal 6: 50g Iso whey, 2 tbsp peanut butter

Training

Evan likes giant sets.  An example is a back workout where he is doing big rows and supersets on his back.  He moves through this quickly, taking 20-30 seconds between sets and tension.

He also likes to lower the weights and focus on motion which makes it hurt and painful. So he likes to mix things up, not just going heavy but also going lighter and doing 20 reps with contractions, after the muscle is already fatigued.

Mobster says that he likes to be up at 4 am and working out at 5 am. He says that is hardcore and he respects that.

Steroid cycle

In this segment the guys go over his first cycle he did, his contest stack, and his current cycles he likes.

His first cycle: 1st cycle:

500mg testosterone (ampoules then) 250 mg Omnadren and 250mg Sustanon. Gained 25lbs (other ref says 30-35).

Competition cycles which he has hinted at:

HGH (100%)

Testosterone 1000

800-1000mg each of Sustanon and Equipoise

Winstrol to dry out pre-comp 100mgs per day

Masteron- 400mg+ per week

Was 290 and now 270. Present cycles and cruising:

300-1000mgs of Testosterone per week

BPC157 and TB500 healing peptides.

Does not like HGH.

The guys end the show debating why Trenbolone isn't mentioned, and why he says he no longer likes growth hormone.
