I tested out Temu with my ez bar. 34$ for a bar that at my local big box store was 140. Just as good so I’ve ordered a proper bench and a corner cable station. Gotta save the money for food man, that’s the real cost

I’ve been looking at how I train my biceps following my mostly recovered bicep tendon injury and am shifting towards trying out slow reps with more “time under tension” with lighter weight. The pump and burn is still there and with slow enough reps, I still hit a nice mechanical failure point. I look forward to a home cable setup so I can continue to develop my training.
It’s harvest season in farmboi county so I’ll put up a pic from inside my combine yesterday. As long as nothing breaks, chilling in a cab means some sweet recovery time listening to the EVO podcast

what do you mean they rob you? like they sell fake stuff?I’ve had very good luck so far with temu. The ez curl bar and bench have been on par with most entry level products I’ve seen. Just DONT use a credit card or your real email on temu. Use PayPal and create a “burner” temu email addressthey be crooks, rob the tires right off your car while you driving it
Nono the stuff is Amazon essentially, they have a TERRIBLE reputation for credit card info. Just use PayPal and don’t give them your phone number and you’re finewhat do you mean they rob you? like they sell fake stuff?
That’s a solid way to handle it after a tendon issue. Slowing the reps down lets you keep tension without chasing heavy numbers that could set you back. You’re still hitting failure but in a safer range, and the pump shows you’re loading the muscle well. Once you get the cable setup at home you’ll open up a lot more angles without the joint stress. Smart way to keep progress steady while giving the tendon time to toughen up.

I’m hoping to pick up the cable setup tomorrow so we will see if the reviews about difficult construction are true or notThat’s a solid way to handle it after a tendon issue. Just dont go to hard. @Farmboy and LOVE the EVO podcast playing in farmboi country! EVO family support.

The farm is a side gig, those are swaths of canola. I’m a shift worker by trade haha, you’ll see a lot of nightshift changeover shenanigans hereI'm still trying to figure it out too. Great log man, your farm looks like a crazy place to work! What are the giant rows of things? You just have one thing growing?

That’s a solid setup and you’re making it work right away. Those rows and pulldowns at that weight and volume show the machine can definitely handle real work. The finish and smooth cable action are what matter most long term, so greasing it up is a smart move. For the price you paid that’s a great investment, especially since you already tested it with multiple plates. Keep logging those numbers because you’ll be able to look back in a few weeks and see how much stronger you’ve gotten on it. @FarmboySo yesterday turned out to be active rest day, took the missus out for a nice breakfast before picking up the Temu gym. LOVING the Temu setup. It is on par with my other Amazon things and the quality is pleasantly surprising. The metal is finished nicely with no burs and the cabling is well coated and smooth. It handled four plates no problem today. I will go around a lightly grease all moving parts but for 450$ Canadian, this is fantastic

Only two night shifts this week friends where i will be finally shifting the calories down somewhat to begin a maintenance phase to let the new tissue mature while not slabbing on any more fat
You look amazing really flexing hard and making big changesAlright friends, it has come time to wrap up this log, I have reached the 16 week point of my run and all good things must come to an end. This works well however as I will be somewhat modifying my overall training with the introduction of new equipment and exercises.
I finish out at a solid 233lbs with growth to all major muscle groups, moved up two work shirt sizes and and filling in a 19T well. This marks an overall gain of 13lbs, mostly visible in my back, shoulders and arms. I am well and covered by a layer of body fat which after a period of maintenance, will be the topic of my next log.
I have attached some final physique update photos and continue to lament my poor photography skills in making progress in the mirror, evident on film.

good call running it as a light double, you got the pump without piling on more fatigue. morning session looked like a nice primer, curls and rows just enough to move blood and set up for the pics. evening work kept the focus on shoulders and arms, high reps and supersets fit well for that style. forearm finishers were a solid touch, partials and ptf keep intensity up without needing heavy load. balance like this works well when life stress and work are high, you’re keeping momentum without digging too deep. once the busy stretch eases you’ll be ready to push heavier again.Wrapping up with a double day lite, move some blood around without hammering the fatigue too badly

Light day, nothing stand out about it. Harvest is a busy time of year for me plus with the work obligations for training new guys, it’s been a stretch.
pushing food past that 4k mark was the missing piece and you can see it paid off fast once you leaned into it. var doesn’t hit like dbol so it makes sense you felt it underwhelming for a gaining run, but it’ll shine in a cut when you’re leaner and keeping things tighter. the 350 test did exactly what it should, paired with the volume and consistency in your training it’s no surprise you’re filling out shirts now. smart move adjusting pressing volume too, shoulders will thank you long term. nutrition lesson here is big, once diet lined up the gains followed. basement gym upgrade with new cardio gear will just add more tools to keep progress steady. closing this log strong and setting up the next one is the right way to roll it forward.Reflections,
I think I initially limited my growth and progress by just not leveraging foot enough. Gotta quote @Mobster from the podcast I think #145, “stop being a bitch and put the food down your neck”Once I figured that out and pushed the calories north of 4K with a lot of clean carbs in there, the progress came on fast.
Now the var starter, I have a hard time rating it very highly as my experience with orals is more along the lines of Dianabol which has a profound and notable impact, both positive and negative. In the future, I can see trying var for a cut phase with low test but for a low level gaining cycle, it doesn’t appear to have done too much. The 350mg test base pulled its weight well and with a proper diet routine to match the high volume style of training I enjoy, I’m up some solid weight. The neck, shoulders, arms and back are what’s pushing me up multiple shirt sizes so the midsection fat accumulation isn’t major. People at work have come to believe my lentils to be magic
This has been a fantastic learning run, both in the development of my training but in how massive the impact of nutrition is on progress and growth. I’ve modified my training heavily as EVO brothers made me aware of risks to my shoulders from my overuse of military pressing and various shoulder risky movements. Safer, better, stronger.
Improved cardio equipment will be packed into my gym basement soon and the progress will continue to grind forward. I will likely toss up one more nightshift log entry for tomorrow’s nightshift which will be the final one for this log. I will collect the info and images to begin another one for the following day.
bros let shoot for A+ to finish yearI appreciate it brother, already better than schoolCs get degrees

I have attached some final physique update photos and continue to lament my poor photography skills in making progress in the mirror, evident on film.

I’ve put in a couple thumbnails for easy reference. I hope to add more to this closer tonight when I have more time available for my thoughts on the cycle and the planning for the next log.

Nice set of pics broAlright friends, it has come time to wrap up this log, I have reached the 16 week point of my run and all good things must come to an end. This works well however as I will be somewhat modifying my overall training with the introduction of new equipment and exercises.
