You are doing a lot of supersets I love that :D and wait Temu gear coming? LOL :P
Love supersets

I tested out Temu with my ez bar. 34$ for a bar that at my local big box store was 140. Just as good so I’ve ordered a proper bench and a corner cable station. Gotta save the money for food man, that’s the real cost

@Farmboy you are pumping nice training. i got a lot of love for this one! keep up the good work !

Doubling to what?

You're really training high volume, big push :D get some days off.
Over the span of 24hrs, 445-460 grams of protein, 700-750 carbs and 195-205 fats. I sometimes will leverage the fats up higher for an energy bump beyond just black coffee

The back definitely gets some rest after a double day

Alright brothers, the temu bench arrived and it’s surprisingly nice. Came mostly pre assembled in the folded position. I repeated the last bench days style of light weight, high volume supersets and didn’t notice any real issues with the bench. I’m around 233lbs right now and it didn’t seem to struggle much with that

Flat bench superset, narrow grip then wide grip
135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide
135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide
135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide
135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide
Water, wild chest and front delt burn
135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide

225lbs x 8, mostly partials just for the suffering of it.
Water

Right arm resistance band pushdowns
100lbs x 8
100lbs x 7, long squeeze

Resistance band pushdowns
120lbs x 16, squeeze
120lbs x 13
120lbs x 12
120lbs x 10

Laying ez curl skullcrushers
70lbs x 13
70lbs x 10
Water
70lbs x 12
70lbs x 11
70lbs x 6 looong stretch

A nice push day for sure, feeling good afterwards. The bench was really nice and for the cost of 90 shipped, I’m pretty happy. We will see however as weight keeps climbing, how it handles it

The volume superset bench press was really enjoyable again. Idk if it’s from all the pushups I’ve done in my life of what but I love me some superset volume

@Farmboy bros you are showing how its done. nice finish on forearm curls and focus curls. i like how you add 1/2 speed etc.

Over the span of 24hrs, 445-460 grams of protein, 700-750 carbs and 195-205 fats. I sometimes will leverage the fats up higher for an energy bump beyond just black coffee

The back definitely gets some rest after a double day
Impressive macros :D @Farmboy
Alright brothers, the temu bench arrived and it’s surprisingly nice. Came mostly pre assembled in the folded position. I repeated the last bench days style of light weight, high volume supersets and didn’t notice any real issues with the bench. I’m around 233lbs right now and it didn’t seem to struggle much with that

Flat bench superset, narrow grip then wide grip
135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide
135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide
135lbs x 12 narrow

135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide
Water, wild chest and front delt burn
135lbs x 12 narrow
135lbs x 12 wide

225lbs x 8, mostly partials just for the suffering of it.
Water

Right arm resistance band pushdowns

100lbs x 7, long squeeze

Resistance band pushdowns
120lbs x 16, squeeze

Laying ez curl skullcrushers

70lbs x 10
Water
70lbs x 12

You got the temu bench but no pics? come on :D
push ups thats the way too you doing them with the bench?

looking good. clean equipment!
I’ve had very good luck so far with temu. The ez curl bar and bench have been on par with most entry level products I’ve seen. Just DONT use a credit card or your real email on temu. Use PayPal and create a “burner” temu email address 😂 they be crooks, rob the tires right off your car while you driving it

Days off now, the back still be fried so easy biceps, forearms and calf’s today.

Seated incline curls, light weight 1/3 speed

30lbs x 12 partials till failure

Barbell calf raises

I’ve been looking at how I train my biceps following my mostly recovered bicep tendon injury and am shifting towards trying out slow reps with more “time under tension” with lighter weight. The pump and burn is still there and with slow enough reps, I still hit a nice mechanical failure point. I look forward to a home cable setup so I can continue to develop my training.

It’s harvest season in farmboi county so I’ll put up a pic from inside my combine yesterday. As long as nothing breaks, chilling in a cab means some sweet recovery time listening to the EVO podcast 🤠

That’s a solid way to handle it after a tendon issue. Slowing the reps down lets you keep tension without chasing heavy numbers that could set you back. You’re still hitting failure but in a safer range, and the pump shows you’re loading the muscle well. Once you get the cable setup at home you’ll open up a lot more angles without the joint stress. Smart way to keep progress steady while giving the tendon time to toughen up. Just dont go to hard. @Farmboy and LOVE the EVO podcast playing in farmboi country :D! EVO family support.

It's such an awful company bro. A sign of the end times IMHO. That's a great tip you've given there though, even just installing their app takes over your phone and starts aggressively harvesting data like sending out your clipboard contents. Definatly don't want them to have any of your details if you do buy from them.

PayPals a good idea to sheild your card details from them, I didn’t think of doing it that way. I always buy a pre-paid visa from the post office or supermarket if I really have to use them or aliexpress. I'm trying to find a little mp3 player so I don't need to have my phone at the gym but that's an oddly rare item through the usual channels these days.

@Farmboy amazing work bro...farm pics look legit.........

sounds like your stuff ends up getting into the wrong hands

Hey bro, I noticed your log updates don't show up with the others in my feed, I got you in my manual list tho - your log link in your sig is on a different domain? I'm trying to find a system to read everyone's every day - I don't see how Lev manages to get everyone. I gotta get a PC again and stop using the phone 😅

The farm is a side gig, those are swaths of canola. I’m a shift worker by trade haha, you’ll see a lot of nightshift changeover shenanigans here

So yesterday turned out to be active rest day, took the missus out for a nice breakfast before picking up the Temu gym. When we got back, we decided it was a good day to paint the bedroom which took us into the night 😓

Finished building the Temu gym, heavy back day

Bent over barbell rows
70lbs x 15
70lbs x 14
70lbs x 12
Water
105lbs x 12
105lbs x 12
105lbs x 11

Seated cable rows
180lbs x 12
180lbs x 10
180lbs x 10
180lbs x 9
180lbs x 8

Seated cable pulldowns
180lbs x 14
180lbs x 13
180lbs x 11
180lbs x 10
180lbs x 8

Inverted curls
20lbs x 12
40lbs x 14
40lbs x 13
40lbs x 12

LOVING the Temu setup. It is on par with my other Amazon things and the quality is pleasantly surprising. The metal is finished nicely with no burs and the cabling is well coated and smooth. It handled four plates no problem today. I will go around a lightly grease all moving parts but for 450$ Canadian, this is fantastic

That’s a solid setup and you’re making it work right away. Those rows and pulldowns at that weight and volume show the machine can definitely handle real work. The finish and smooth cable action are what matter most long term, so greasing it up is a smart move. For the price you paid that’s a great investment, especially since you already tested it with multiple plates. Keep logging those numbers because you’ll be able to look back in a few weeks and see how much stronger you’ve gotten on it. @Farmboy

It’s a lot more honest than the bowflex for sure. I can see eventually having to swap some of the pulleys for metal ones but not for quite some time.

Loving the Temu lifestyle 😎

Really checking out the equipment and the brutal honesty of steel weights on the end of some cables. I’ve begun the oiling process which has helped a lot and will continue but safe to say I’m very happy with the machine so far as it works its way into my routine.

Only two night shifts this week friends where i will be finally shifting the calories down somewhat to begin a maintenance phase to let the new tissue mature while not slabbing on any more fat

Alright friends, it has come time to wrap up this log, I have reached the 16 week point of my run and all good things must come to an end. This works well however as I will be somewhat modifying my overall training with the introduction of new equipment and exercises.

I finish out at a solid 233lbs with growth to all major muscle groups, moved up two work shirt sizes and and filling in a 19T well. This marks an overall gain of 13lbs, mostly visible in my back, shoulders and arms. I am well and covered by a layer of body fat which after a period of maintenance, will be the topic of my next log.

I have attached some final physique update photos and continue to lament my poor photography skills in making progress in the mirror, evident on film.
IMG_0605.webpIMG_0598.webpIMG_0600.webp

I’ve put in a couple thumbnails for easy reference. I hope to add more to this closer tonight when I have more time available for my thoughts on the cycle and the planning for the next log.

Love to the EVO family

you are looking better and better @Farmboy Looks like you're building some good conditioning. Keep up the good work.
The conditioning coming and I’m excited to see more of what I’ve built on this run following maintenance and a cut on essentially TRT(+)

I appreciate man, love the podcast 👍👍

You look amazing really flexing hard and making big changes :D like huge difference. @Farmboy EVO family love!
It’s been a great run with the support of the EVO squad. Prior to finding this family, I didn’t really have a large group at all to share and discuss training with.

Lots of EVO love 💪

Light day, nothing stand out about it. Harvest is a busy time of year for me plus with the work obligations for training new guys, it’s been a stretch.

Reflections,

I think I initially limited my growth and progress by just not leveraging foot enough. Gotta quote @Mobster from the podcast I think #145, “stop being a bitch and put the food down your neck” 😂 Once I figured that out and pushed the calories north of 4K with a lot of clean carbs in there, the progress came on fast.

Now the var starter, I have a hard time rating it very highly as my experience with orals is more along the lines of Dianabol which has a profound and notable impact, both positive and negative. In the future, I can see trying var for a cut phase with low test but for a low level gaining cycle, it doesn’t appear to have done too much. The 350mg test base pulled its weight well and with a proper diet routine to match the high volume style of training I enjoy, I’m up some solid weight. The neck, shoulders, arms and back are what’s pushing me up multiple shirt sizes so the midsection fat accumulation isn’t major. People at work have come to believe my lentils to be magic 😂😂

This has been a fantastic learning run, both in the development of my training but in how massive the impact of nutrition is on progress and growth. I’ve modified my training heavily as EVO brothers made me aware of risks to my shoulders from my overuse of military pressing and various shoulder risky movements. Safer, better, stronger.

Improved cardio equipment will be packed into my gym basement soon and the progress will continue to grind forward. I will likely toss up one more nightshift log entry for tomorrow’s nightshift which will be the final one for this log. I will collect the info and images to begin another one for the following day.

I am well and covered by a layer of body fat which after a period of maintenance, will be the topic of my next log.

good call running it as a light double, you got the pump without piling on more fatigue. morning session looked like a nice primer, curls and rows just enough to move blood and set up for the pics. evening work kept the focus on shoulders and arms, high reps and supersets fit well for that style. forearm finishers were a solid touch, partials and ptf keep intensity up without needing heavy load. balance like this works well when life stress and work are high, you’re keeping momentum without digging too deep. once the busy stretch eases you’ll be ready to push heavier again.

pushing food past that 4k mark was the missing piece and you can see it paid off fast once you leaned into it. var doesn’t hit like dbol so it makes sense you felt it underwhelming for a gaining run, but it’ll shine in a cut when you’re leaner and keeping things tighter. the 350 test did exactly what it should, paired with the volume and consistency in your training it’s no surprise you’re filling out shirts now. smart move adjusting pressing volume too, shoulders will thank you long term. nutrition lesson here is big, once diet lined up the gains followed. basement gym upgrade with new cardio gear will just add more tools to keep progress steady. closing this log strong and setting up the next one is the right way to roll it forward. :D Your final log entry please post pics to close out the log!

it’s been a fun run for sure. I’m looking forward to what comes next 👍 as for pics, the yesterdays are as recent as I have. Only changes would be some fatigue from night shifts haha

I’ll post up pics of the new cardio piece that will represent a new, cardio inclusive future haha

Second nightshift

Seated cable flies on the bowflex
200lbs x 12
200lbs x 12
200lbs x 11
Water
220lbs x 12
220lbs x 10
220lbs x 9
The bowflex weights are definitely not accurate after the years of use I’ve put on them, my honest steel plates have humbled me at home

Right arm pushdowns
80lbs x 12 squeeze
80lbs x 12 squeeze
80lbs x 10 squeeze

Overhead extensions superset with tricep pushdowns
130lbs x 14 oh
130lbs x 12 pd
130lbs x 14 oh
130lbs x 11 pd ptf
Water
130lbs x 13 oh
130lbs x 12 pd, ptf

Right arm only pushdowns
60lbs x 10
60lbs x 8

Weighted dips, +20lbs
8 then fell on my face haha

A good last nightshift but the reality in the inaccurate weight on the resistance sticks is becoming pretty apparent. I will load up the at home cable machine this weekend and determine where my numbers are actually at in terms of overload.
