I'm happy to read this as I know it can be a tough transition to switch into the mode you're moving into. I want you to listen to the EVO podcast I recently was a guest on (when it comes out) because a lot of it is for us addicts who are now sober and how and why we use the gym as our outlet.
Both @stevesmi and @Mobster really hit the nail on the head as well. You have to just make yourself a disciplined plan and execute it. Once you're in that groove it will become second nature as an addict/former addict you will need it, seek it, and yearn for it. It becomes our new obsession and the chemicals released are clean and natural and this new obsession is healthy instead of damaging to ourselves and those in our orbit.
It's the getting there that is tough and we talk about the struggle to have the patience to continue with executing that plan and allowing time to reveal the results. As addicts we want all the results right NOW so I understand your struggles. One day at a time brother and be kind to yourself when one day doesn't compare to the other.
You got this just don't give up.

You're eating goodThanks man, I finally got the whey stuff. Atcually I got impatient and bought some supermarket stuff while the unflavoured stuff arrived. It didn't look much different on paper but I see what's wrong, a 'dose' of 30g protein is atcually two of the scoops, and I wanted to double that else it's not really worth it, so in the end there was a ton of powder. Too much for cold water and elbow greese to dissolve haha. I just woke up gonna see what I can do with 100ml of boiling water.
Man I get called a hippy a lot but check out what I had for breakfast

They're not perfect but looks like you got clean ones which is goodThese twist off needles never really sat well with me. I mean it's cool you can just switch tips like that but there's downsides too.
The measuring system accounts for this so this isn't about under-dosing or over-dosing but wasting shit. At my current dose I'd lose a whole dose every three days to this needle tip.

So, idk if anyone had to have their limbs amputated from doing this, but I draw until the syringe is full, change the tip to a smaller one, pin my dose, draw back, then put a fresh drawing tip on and put the whole syringe in the fridge(insulin cooler, in my case). I’ve probably done this a couple thousand times and never got so much as an irritation at the injection site. I don’t think I’m losing much, as long as it gets drawn back.my current dose I'd lose a whole dose every three days to this needle tip.
This is what I was talking about:Interesting bro, my friend who's into lifting recommended what I think is the same, the ones that don't lock right? I'll get more but here's the last one I had is this similar to what you mean?

The syringe connection goes between the outer bit and that stem bit. Effectively leaves no gap in the needle. I measured the loss as about 0.01 compared to 0.05.
Well. It saves a lot of time, and I use luerlocks, so if I was drawing and pinning individual doses, like you said, I would wind up wasting a lot. I was using a lot of peptides and hgh and I just figure I’m not drawing back while it’s in my skin. I’m pretty careful and methodical while I’m pinning. How come you do it like that man?

Yeah. I had had a bad experience with “cheap” hgh. It gave me really high blood pressure and water retention And even affected my erections, so I was only getting medical hgh like norditropin pens and serostim and such. You can spend $1000/month easily and it’s very very awesome but you have to take it for a long time for it to be transformative. Like I took it consistently for so long I was visibly reverse aging. Of course I was doing everything I could think of at that time. I wish I was up in here back then, when I had more time and resources.Fair enough bro! I don't think there's anything wrong at all. Without the tip change there would be a little bit of bacteria on the tip that could contaminate it potentially but in reality that's unlikely in the fridge, and pretty much a non-issue if you change the tips. Wasting that much of HGH would be crazy too, dunno if it's just my part of the world but that shit is way to expensive here to be throwing it away carelessly.

How did you go when you started on it? Most people said it'd be more like a month before noticing affects.
Technically only my first 3 days on currently, first pin was 14/9.
Pretty sure it's messed up my guts a touch but feels like it's passing, unsure if it's too soon and i'm psyching myself out over it but I don't feel like I get a sharp hunger pang more of a dull pressure if I think about it a lot.
Keep it up broDay 20: Pills and PowdersThings are changing diet wise, this reta really is something else. It's only been 5 days but it's completely changed how I view what I can physically even eat. If I can find the right dose and frequency I think I can make this work to achieve my goals of losing my beer gut and bitch tits. There's two more days until I start EOD shots and I might wait till then to decide weather to try EOD shots equivalent to 2mg a week or to half the dose to 1mg a week since I seem to be very sensitive to it.

Previously was aiming for as much meat as possible and always prioritise fatty cuts and eat the fat first, like the early carnivore writers like Vilhjalmur Stefansson were doing. Carnivore was easy for me to understand, you just eat tons of fat and your body adapts to using that as fuel source. I've done it a good few times and it works good and is very simple.
I added butter to things (even coffee) and drank two litres of full-fat milk a day if I could afford it. That's over for now, I had half a cup of instant coffee which I guess had 80ml of milk maybe and that sat rotting in my guts all morning. I forget exactly what he said but @stevesmi said reta punishes you for eating the wrong things and I now see what he was saying.
Even when I had no money and haven't eaten for days I always tried to get milk for coffee. I don't care what kind of coffee but the milk was how I was able to drink it all day, else it would upset my stomach after a few.
So Basically the situation with coffee has reversed... I had six or so cups of instant coffee no milk yesterday, like an AA meeting where the coffee guy relapsed and you have to tuck into the sachets.
I don't know how I feel about this. My parents started letting me drink coffee unrestricted at 12 and I can remember the four days I've had without since, my first two days living in Japan in 2005 before I found out green tea was full of it, and the two days I was in a coma. Even missing a morning u start getting a headache. I am totally physically addicted to it. But some how this one slides in our society and it's easy to overlook because it's usually so easy to acquire.
I'll write more about my coffee plans when I figure them out.

I read your log good one on the sleeps, oh try trim milk it's like lite but one step furtherSweet bro, good plan on the log entry =]
I've also been sleeping a lot, eight and a half hours on average the past week, some ten hour sleeps tho and day 3 on reta I got up and had milk and it didn't digest and I ended up going back to sleep for an hour or so.
Dissolved much better with hot water. 4 scoops of that is 60g powder I think + 2 smaller ones of creitine

I usually buy whey isolate because I digest better. I like raw because it's the easiest on my stomach but it is expensive for what you get, I'll try that brand you mentioned I just need to double check how much concentrate is in itThis is where I landed today between three shakes, two eggs and an apple. I really need to get whey that's 30g a scoop so four scoops is 120g, 4 scoops of this one is less than 50g... what's the best brand you've used?

@vanlife_gymbum log thread link -Oh I see, I had some battery issues due to not going to the gym to charge them and am a bit behind on people's logs and I didn't catch that sorry bro.
We're basically in the same boat, I started last Friday with one 2mg dose, so on Day 6. I think I wrote a log entry every day execpt Saturday which I didn't eat anything at all. I felt like I had an abnormally quick reaction but maybe not.
Based on advice the from @LevButlerov and @Dave1288499 you can see in my log thread I decided to switch to every other day injections and was going to wait until Friday and decide if I'm going to stick with 2mg a week or half to 1mg. I'm stoked it's working for sure and really think I can make it work but I need to find a new balance.
If I can get the dose right I think it'll be a godsend. I've always had these exact same tits, no matter how much I drank or how little I ate, they remained. Never growing and never shrinking. They haven't held me back with girls surprisingly but mentally they do. I have accepted most things about myself but I need to get rid of them and my beer gut too, it's been two years since I quit drinking I shouldn't have it anymore.
I hope the reta works out for your bro and be interesting to watch while I'm trying the same thing =)

Reta is clearly shifting the way you look at food and coffee, sensitivity is showing fast so testing a lower dose first sounds smarter than pushing higher right away. Cutting out the milk and sticking with black coffee will probably help digestion a lot while you ride this phase out. You’ve already got protein covered with the whey and eggs, keep it simple there so you don’t overthink. Sleep and steps are solid too, dialing the walking back a bit will give your ankles time to recover while everything else keeps moving forward.Day 20: Pills and PowdersThings are changing diet wise, this reta really is something else. That’s a good call sticking with the same dose of retatrutide but moving to EOD shots, it’ll keep things steady without pushing higher. Shakes with whey and eggs as the base will cover your protein no problem, and dropping milk was the right adjustment since it was messing with your stomach before. Black coffee sitting fine now shows how much your body is adapting on this compound. You’re right about the “over-full” feeling, just pacing the shakes and simple food like the apple before training will make it easier to manage. @vanlife_gymbumThanks man your advice has been invaluable in these changes. Honestly if you'd sent me that message about focusing on getting the shakes sorted and not worrying about other stuff before I started on reta I would have thought you were crazy. But the reta really did change everything and I'm going ahead with the shakes plan and it's working out great.
Without the reta though I don't think it would be possible. I don't like food beyond nutrition, I have never sought it out for pleasure and hate going to restaurants and shit like that but even still, my body would have made me do things differently than this, it's pretty amazing.
I'm not going to go up higher in dose but am deciding weather to stay at the same dose or cut it in half.
Now I've got a plan around the shakes and diet I think I'll try the same dose but EOD shots like you recommended, I think it will work well.
I'm not sick or uncomfortable but just adjusting to it and figuring out new limits.
I agree keeping it simple is the way to go. I will make absolute certian that I have whey and eggs every week before I get anything else. I can manage that. And the milk has been abandoned already, but that was reta's idea not mine.
I honestly thought I couldn't live without it due to being so addicted to coffee and needing the milk to settle the coffee, but the reta also changed that so the same stomach problem is not happening anymore.. I've had about 6 black instant coffees today and my stomach is fine... apart from still being full after the 2nd shake half an hour ago.
You really gotta watch your intake on reta, if you miscalculate and eat even slightly too much, you feel almost 'over-full' and it lasts for an hour sometimes. I'm used to just opening my throat and pouring or shovelling whatever in, I don't want to taste it or spend time with it, but that's not how the reta wants to do it so I have to adapt to it.
I did some experiments this morning and in the first shake I added 4 egg whites and that was good but was a pain in the ass to do and made a mess, the 2nd shake I just cracked the 4 eggs whole into it and it was fine. Also had an apple an hour before the gym

You’ve put a lot of thought into this and it shows, the blender and eggs setup is going to make hitting protein way easier and cheaper than leaning on powders. Retatrutide doing its job is huge for sticking to the plan, you can see how it’s helping you stay on track even with the tough food budget. Training might feel unstructured now but adding bar squats and bodyweight work like that is smart, it builds fitness and confidence while you lean on the hack squat for heavy leg days. Keep logging it all, even the misses like wasted yolks, it’ll keep you accountable and you’ll be able to look back and see how far you’ve come. @vanlife_gymbumHey all - I just returned from my day working on the ship, there's a severe weather warning & red alert for windspeed. Last time this happened nobody came to the gym so maybe it'll be all mine tonight. It's been getting more and more packed each night, the word is getting out. No groups of teenage boys pointing at nothing on each other's shirtless prepubescent bodies in the middle of the gym though so could be worse.
I've made some solid investments this week and am now broke. Laying the foundations for the next phase of consistent dieting - namely my new portable battery powered blender:
View attachment 120974
After a day of experiments with varying degrees of success I only have enough powder for one 2-scoop shake a day and no eggs. I am going to have to get more/different powder this dole day though. Two bags of the supermarket one I have would be $100 or a whole third of my weekly income so I should give it some thought, I was hoping to budget $60 for eggs now I've learnt to drink them, which would get me 90 from the farmers market.

Diet has otherwise been the same the past few days

I started putting salt into the tuna cans and it's good, could have got a third one down last night but thought I'd better save it for another day.
I would usually be pretty worried being this far out with so little food but I've been listening to a bunch of older podcast episodes lately where @stevesmi teaches us about fasting. He also has a log/thread where he lays out research and studies into fasting, talks a bit about how the middle eastern lifters have incorporated fasting from their cultural practices into their training too to great result. Stevesmi's fasting thread is here:
https://www.evolutionary.org/forums...ld-more-muscle-and-my-prolong-fast-log.81856/
Monday and Tuesday seem like great days to experiment with that, and that also means I don't need to do anything about not having any money for food which suits me perfectly. Thanks Steve =)
I appear to be out of instant coffee though, that might be a bigger issue. If that goes south I can always go to the ship and have one.
I now have the blender, I've run the experiments and figured out how to drink eggs. I'm ready to start consistently doing this on Wednesday once restocked in powder & eggs.
The entry I didn't post on Thursday was photos and text of my whole day spent learning how to separate eggs whites which I'd never done before and various ways to make shakes up with just a cup and a spoon as tools but it was all for nothing because just cracking four whole eggs in and blending comes out perfectly nice. Nothing to share came of it so I just didn't post. I ended up throwing out all the egg yolks I'd saved in my pot during this unfortunately, and about 300g of left over beef mince. I couldn't face them over a two day period and then they were off.
View attachment 120977
I had rendered out the fat too
View attachment 120978
All that effort with the egg whites and wasting eggs for like 12g extra protein in the shake was not worth it so I just cracked four eggs straight into the blender and apart from the colour change I can't notice the difference taste or texture wise, it was all in my head. I love eggs so I don't even know why.. probably because of Rocky movies.
12 eggs each shake is what Vince Gironda wrote about in the 60s, he recommended doing cycles of these shakes "like DBOL" for 8 weeks. He was using fertilised (?) eggs and mixing with half&half (full-fat milk and cream mix) I want to try this at some stage in the future but for now I'm pretty happy with the idea of being able to get 12 eggs a day down that easy.
The retatrutide is absolutely amazing. It blows my mind that humans can design and produce drugs this advanced. How they do that is beyond my realm. I can understand having three different things doing one task each and combining them in a pill or something but this I dunno. Amazing they did though, I never thought I'd have this much control over what I eat without great mental effort or discomfort or.. something
Been a little bit rocky this week but I feel like I'm close to finding a new normal with it.

I did my first shot with the new EOD dosing plan recommended by @LevButlerov and @Dave1288499 and already it's much better. I am not sick today like I was last Saturday but can 100% notice the dose is working, it seems to be noticeable about 20 hours after.

Same process as last time, pinched a fold of my leg skin and pinned the micro-needle into the fat. All on schedule with regular testosterone pins too, have come to really like my post walk pin ritual. I walked into the city to go work on the ship today and had a dodgy stomach at times, got a few waves of nausea but they cleared pretty quick. I'm back at my van now and feel okay. Would have been 12k steps there and back but that's all I've done today really, I'm gonna hit the gym tonight.
Been working on bodyweight squats and bar only squats lately. Mobster recommended the bar squats and I'm fully on board, they fit in nicely with my general plan of losing weight and getting fitter, and I'm comfortable with them already whereas I am not with heavy free weight barbell squats.
I progressed on the hacksquat over the past six months with my PT and I'm comfortable continuing with that and will use that for my heavy leg day which I'll do once a week not twice, and want to add high rep bodyweight and bar squats into my weekly schedule somehow. I can already feel their affect a bit, they're making me fitter and stronger in a way that's definitely new.

I have been unstructured in training this week but I've been learning and figuring some shit out, it's okay. I've showered everyday and not been missing cardio warmups, I'll post more training stuff soon, I've been formalising a routine and schedule to get input from @Dave1288499 who kindly offered to look over it for me.
I'm going to help him with his training this week, while I'm in the areaYou’ve put a lot of thought into this and it shows, the blender and eggs setup is going to make hitting protein way easier and cheaper than leaning on powders. @vanlife_gymbum![]()

just watched a movie today called "leave no trace".. about a homeless vet who has ptsd who lives in the woods with his daughter. quite interesting movie got 100 perfect score on rotten tomatoes @vanlife_gymbumHey all - I just returned from my day working on the ship, there's a severe weather warning & red alert for windspeed.

After a day of experiments with varying degrees of success I only have enough powder for one 2-scoop shake a day and no eggs. I am going to have to get more/different powder this dole day though. Two bags of the supermarket one I have would be $100 or a whole third of my weekly income so I should give it some thought, I was hoping to budget $60 for eggs now I've learnt to drink them, which would get me 90 from the farmers market.

Gives me ten minutes to calm down while my muscles are well warmed up and process what I'm doing and work on the mind-needle connection.

Still a bit bothered by wasting test but I'm going to the needle exchange tomorrow to talk to them about it and try get the tips a dude recommended to me here the other day that looked perfect.

I've showered everyday and not been missing cardio warmups, I'll post more training stuff soon, I've been formalising a routine and schedule to get input from @Dave1288499 who kindly offered to look over it for me.
bros this is a cool update. the bum living has some perks @vanlife_gymbum seems like you finding the cheat codes to make it funHey all - I just returned from my day working on the ship, there's a severe weather warning & red alert for windspeed.
View attachment 120975
Diet has otherwise been the same the past few days
View attachment 120976

I had rendered out the fat too

All on schedule with regular testosterone pins too, have come to really like my post walk pin ritual. We like surprisesI was planning it as a surprise but I spoiled it farr I'm stink ow
just got back from meeting up with fellow Evo logger @Dave1288499. He got the same gym membership as me on the bus on his way to Wellington and I went and picked up his tag for him before they closed.
We went straight to the gym. I poorly timed my reta EOD shot and ate an apple right before leaving. I left his free gym bag for new members in my van and ran back to get it before he arrived and the run was taxing and the reta and apple mixed and I spewed on the side of the gym. Guess it's gonna be a fasted lifting session.
This was my first time going to the gym with someone else before and I had an awesome time, Dave had his other really strong mate with him and the three of us went hard.
![]()
I don't think photos can capture what's going on with his muscle definition very well, it was pretty awesome to see in person. Dave's a cool guy and knows tons about training and guided his friend and me through a pretty hardcore arm session, I learnt tons of new shit and it's much appreciated thanks bro.
![]()
I am too tired to write up our session tonight but everything he showed me was new. I feel absolutely destroyed now but feel great. It's pissing down raining on my roof and it's 1am and time to crash. We're gonna meet up again and go lifting in the morning so I'll write out our exercises and sets tomorrow.
![]()
Being able to prod the different part of his muscle while it was under heavy load was really trippy and trying to figure out wtf was going on with the different parts I've never seen directly before was definitely educational.
![]()
We were really riding the good vibrations in the gym and people definatly noticed him and were pretty obvious about it haha
A young guy came over and took the other cable station half and started doing the Sword-Scabbard Pulls and so I struck up a conversation with him using that as the opener - he was cool and called them cable side lateral raises. He and his friend at the next cable station were both checking bro out with great interest pretty blatantly
Then this buff Indian dude I've seen a few times before on the captins chair leg raise machine directly behind us also preformed a pretty thorough inspection from the rare before doing a lap around the long way to his next machine to have a geeze from the other side.
Later a chick at the fixed small barbell and eze-bar rack kinda positioned herself in a way that made her open to being assisted which was kinda smooth of her and bro was atcually pretty smooth in return and gave her the ten that I was hoping to get, forcing me to use the 15, also pretty smooth. I wouldn't be surprised if she did that to get a better look at him tho
![]()
We ran into an impressive dude too, after we were done while I was putting my clothes back on in the locker room a guy dressed for running in neon yellow came in dripping with sweat hardcore but was friendly and we talked to him about his crazy 4th wall running stuff and he was clearly at an advanced level of fitness and Dave probed him pretty hard for technical details of his training which he was surprisingly receptive too and he told us some cool shit.

Dave showed me some new curls:

Then we left the big gym and walked over the road to the exclusive R18 gym.
These guys are from a rural area in the middle of the countryside an hours drive away from a gym and just like me three weeks ago, I dont think had never seen anything the likes of this place before. It's very flash and ultra-modern and the perfect place to wind down a bit. I think they liked what they saw.
This is Dave's gym now too, we're both in the exclusive club and we should make good use of exclusive gear for recovery we have access to now. I gave him a brief tour of the Nautilus machines but we got down to business and went upstairs where the massage gear, infra-red saunas, pilates room, couch, and massage chair room with rainforest sound noises and a giant movie screen playing soothing natural bush flyover scenery lives, very very nice.
We had to wait for a group of three girls and one guy finished their turns and vacated the recovery and meditation room as they call the room, it has four ultra-modern massage chairs that must cost a shit ton. They are awesome and I've been getting physical recovery gains from regular half hour sessions. I can plug my phone into the wall to change while I do it.
While waiting we played around with the electric massage hammer guns and vibrating balls and Bluetooth foam rollers.. and Dave was making plans for the infra-red sauna during the week but the details of that went over my head.
We did the half hour "after sports" massage routine which is basically full-body going through each section of your body one by one. Both him and his mate looked stoned half way through, or half asleep.. pretty sure they were digging it.
Sounds like you had a solid first session training with a crew, that changes the whole vibe compared to lifting alone. Even with the retatrutide shot and apple mishap you still got in and pushed through, that’s discipline. Getting shown new curl variations and feeling wrecked after arms is a good sign you were actually hitting the muscle properly. The recovery side with massage chairs and sauna is huge too, keep using that to stay fresh so you can keep hammering those sessions back to back.just got back from meeting up with fellow Evo logger @Dave1288499. Most of the USA vanlife people on Reddit are doing it to stack cash and avoid the intense craziness with mortgages and rental shortages/prices in lots of places there, especially in California. The Cali vanlifers are hardcore, and have law enforcement, council by-law ans parking stuff.. they basically stay at places like the carparks of Walmart or 24 hour gyms sometimes because they don't have any options.bros and save money too.
@vanlife_gymbum your dedication is dope!Hey all - I just returned from my day working on the ship, there's a severe weather warning & red alert for windspeed.

Gives me ten minutes to calm down while my muscles are well warmed up and process what I'm doing and work on the mind-needle connection.
View attachment 120981
Still a bit bothered by wasting test but I'm going to the needle exchange tomorrow to talk to them about it and try get the tips a dude recommended to me here the other day that looked perfect.

I was quite impressed with him, he gave it a good shakeSounds like you had a solid first session training with a crew, that changes the whole vibe compared to lifting alone. Even with the retatrutide shot and apple mishap you still got in and pushed through, that’s discipline. Getting shown new curl variations and feeling wrecked after arms is a good sign you were actually hitting the muscle properly. The recovery side with massage chairs and sauna is huge too, keep using that to stay fresh so you can keep hammering those sessions back to back.@vanlife_gymbum @Dave1288499 I'm impressed you guys did it!
I'm full of em, just wait till he tells you about todayWe like surprises![]()
Back in the day a few forums used to do big meet ups. Gym and food. Mick Hart's board and MuscleTalk. Mick's esp was a massively good crack.
just watched a movie today called "leave no trace".. about a homeless vet who has ptsd who lives in the woods with his daughter. quite interesting movie got 100 perfect score on rotten tomatoes @vanlife_gymbum
Those two were friends I think, both will be watching the show according to the second oneAwesome! I'm slowly working through the tons of leads and recommendations you guys give on the podcast. It's also taking me a bit to understand the labyrinth that is Evo but I'm getting there. I just discovered the articles section off the irongorillas ebook site and it's been keeping me occupied =)
It would be awesome to go to the gym with anyone from Evo and I highly recommend forum guys who live within a few hours drive of each other make the effort to meet up and lift together. @Dave1288499 is pretty advanced in his training knowledge and I'm definitely going to make the most of tagging along on his prep week and soaking up as much guidance as I can.
Also because we were a group of three we could really bring the fucking noise in the gym. I've not been able to do any type of assisted rep training before but we did a bit today and we were in the zone... I bearly noticed we were surrounded by middle age ladies doing stretches on the mats and stuff and Dave taught us some assisted rep techniques and I couldn't help but make tons of noise and didn't really try not to either, it was next level.
It was Dave's first time meeting other body-builders today too, we went to the gym at your usual time instead of night. We were lifting just after 9am which is an unusual time for me and there were two massive guys, one we spotted doing 190kg calf raises on the leg press machine and the other dude was throwing around 46kg dumbbells like juggling balls. The guy was so positive and keen to talk to us and Dave hit him up for advice with his quads in posing and the guy said Dave's got it right but talked it over with him. He had been lifting a long time and competed and was super knowledgeable. That was rad and his and shoulders were unreal, his enthusiasm was transferred to the three of us I think and I hope I run into them again.
@vanlife_gymbum wow this one looks good man. its nice to see your story in real time like this. its like a reality show in some ways on how you live day to day
bro you working ? i thought you were straight up bum? should not be working @vanlife_gymbum gotta live the real life
Those two were friends I think, both will be watching the show according to the second one
Bro, this really cool. Glad to see you working out with other people on The Forum. can't wait to meat up with some of you in the clink @vanlife_gymbum
Okay thanks man I didn't really consider that. I've been eating high-fat red meat all winter but now the retatrutide has changed everything, this week I'm going to well stock with eggs for shakes, whey powder for shakes and I'll go to a farmers market on Sunday and see what my other fruit and vegetable options are.@vanlife_gymbum what i've found is avoid foods that aggravate the stomach. apples are super acidy in the stomach. i had to give up certain fruits myself
Yeah bro, as I told you I like training anytime of day. Hopefully we run into them againAwesome bro!! Hopefully you can talk to them again at the show but let's go to the gym in the morning again another day too =)

Collagen is an untapped resource a lot of bodybuilders I talk to don't prioritize but I'm a big believer in it. But, don't get the pills, buy it in bulk powder and try and get in 20g/day.I'm interested in collegen too, it's popular mainstream here and the pharmacy I go to for my meds every morning has shelf loads of pills and adverts for it on the walls but that's not my style.
Wow. That’s several hours of walking, right?

I did a quasi carnivore diet for my 16-week blast but with that you have to make sure your supps are in check, especially Vitamin C. It works like magic for me.Okay bro, I'll do that. Never heard of that before, I just made bone broth from recipes on https://justmeat.co but want to experiment with this, I'll do some research.
I've done carnivore on and off since 2017 using the archives from The Bear's forum posts as my first guide, then reading the book Fat of the Land from 100+ years ago about the Eskimos diet and health.
The Bear was one of the 7 LSD cooks busted publicly in the 1960s and was the sound engineer for The Grateful Dead for 30 years and through all that until his death in a car accident he was carnivore and his forum post archive on justmeat.co is well worth a read.
You’re the only other person I know who got their carnivore information from the original sources. And we started at the same timeOkay bro, I'll do that. Never heard of that before, I just made bone broth from recipes on https://justmeat.co but want to experiment with this, I'll do some research.

The longest I ever walked was close to 40 miles. It took me all night, and part of the next day. It was at least 80,000 steps. I spent most of two days in bed after that. Walked right through my socks. I actually logged more than that at work once. I was pulling tiny cables by myself and had to keep running back and forth. It seemed ridiculous when I did it. And then I realized that I more than doubled what I would have done if my “help” had blessed me with his presence. No one could believe I did it. Just keep goingYeah bro and it was pissing down raining haha. I showed Dave's friend how to walk from the gym to their hotel and dropped him off on foot and then had to walk back myself. But I'd already walked to the pharmacy and back this morning before the gym so it all added up to a pretty big day on the heel-toe express![]()
You’re the only other person I know who got their carnivore information from the original sources. And we started at the same time
Decent!!! Any episodes I had like that were not recorded.. I used to wonder how many steps I did during blackouts. It was at least 80,000 steps.
bro hahWe get our cardio in down here bro, no police officers can beat us in a foot-race. We never have to use our shanks, we use Run-Fu.
bro haha my man. that what i like to hear. the same way i avoid paying child support. i keep a shitty job literally, this way they can't raise my child support and take more of my money. i smart!Don't worry brotherI'd never turn my back on the bum lifestyle. It's just one day of volunteer work every Saturday doing manual labour on a 100 year old steam ship. I have the keys to it so I can go there and meal prep and keep things in the fridge. Also a nice old lady makes us all sandwiches and cuts up fruit and cheese and makes us coffee.
100% of my income is leeched off the government. Any way I find to leech more from the tax payer I will definitely consider. I want to help and work with other dudes doing this stuff wherever they live, the forum connects us. My time is no longer for sale and I will never work for a corporation ever again.
Have you also had an almost impossible time explaining how powerful eating like that can be? I’ve had two friends try it earnestly, and they were the least metabolically deranged people that I recommended it to. Both of them actually were suffering from mental issues. The girl, PMDD, and the dude had debilitating anxiety. Both experienced almost complete remission, but neither stuck with it after 90 days. PMDD is hoooorrible. 7-10 days of psychosis during PMS. Days of crying, suspicion and paranoia focused on whoever is prominent in her life. Makes jobs and relationships almost impossible.Thats awesome bro! I'm into peramaculture and had five acres of fruit trees and vegetable gardens in Australia but I experimented a couple of years too long with vegetarian/vegan diets with the aim of self sufficientcy. I got good at peramaculture but was dumb about it, dingos ate my chickens (a very authentic Australian experience) and I didn't replace them and I built an aquaponics system to harvest fish but then didn't turn it on and went back to drinking instead and my teeth started falling out from malnutrition I guess and that's when I figured out meat was what I was missing and I could have had animals at that property if I wasn't dumb so I started eating carnivore and reversed most of the damage. Learnt a bit about my body and what food it needs tho!
bro haha my man. that what i like to hear. the same way i avoid paying child support. i keep a shitty job literally, this way they can't raise my child support and take more of my money. i smart!
It was a night like that. 6°f. I was not dressed for it at all. I got into a fight and got clubbed with something which split my eyebrow, but I didn’t go down and then he didn’t want anymore hahaha. Cops came. I was like,”give me a ride or I’m walking, if I’m not under arrest you have to let me go” I found my way to a hospital and they glued my eyebrow for me. No one would even let me use their phone. I was like “I am a gainfully employed person and if you help me I can pay you” but no one believed me. I was covered in blood and wreaked of booze. So I just kept walking.Decent!!! Any episodes I had like that were not recorded.. I used to wonder how many steps I did during blackouts![]()

yes high fats are a killer on retaOkay thanks man I didn't really consider that. I have access to a kitchen and fridge now so could go there after the farmers market and food prep all the vegetables for a week and keep some glass containers of food in the fridge and ice packs for my cooler (soon to have a insulin cool pack with lock)
I'm going to buy a cheap slow cooker this week and start buying bags of bones from the butcher and make bone broth, based on your advice on the podcast.
I'm interested in collegen too, it's popular mainstream here and the pharmacy I go to for my meds every morning has shelf loads of pills and adverts for it on the walls but that's not my style.
I used to make bone broth outdoors on my pot belly stove in a cast iron dutch oven at my cabin in Australia and have it all the time. Thanks for all your guidance bro, I'm learning so much from your stuff.

Yeah it freaks me out bro, I eat so much of it. I'm gonna switch to 400 gram cans of mackerel and mash it with rice ans hopefully can learn to eat that haha. The shit is wild but it's got like 25g protein per 100g and costs $2.20. 185 grams of store brand tuna costs like $3.50. Also live at the beach and am unemployed so I should probably look into fishingtuna is a good source of protein and omegas. just don't over do it too much. you can end up with mercury issues @vanlife_gymbum
