If it's not from an approved source, I would not go anywhere near it. But that's just me. You can always send it off to be tested.
if not sure about something, then don't use it. It's not worth poisoning your body.
You're not going to be able to tell much just from looking at the gear. You've got to send it to be tested.
Have it tested or throw it away.
