I think, as others have said above, if you compare yourself to other people your age it's no comparison and I bet you you're way healthier on the inside as well. But trust me you're going to improve a lot. Watch I got confidence that you're going to look way better as you continue going.

@MarkNV I really respect the guys that can come on here and dump their feelings about discouragement and feeling down. I did on my log too and I got told to just keep going and to put it behind me as I had taken too many days off in a week and was feeling discouraged.

You're holding yourself to a very high standard for your age and that is something I hugely respect but you're also human so be kind to yourself too and when fall down 7 times, you stand up 8 times.

I know you're going to continue on your way bro, in fact we are all really just "on our way" and there's no true end it's the journey that is what we're sharing on here. There's no finished product or end to this so having a hiccup is expected and if you didn't I'd say there's something wrong with you LOL.

Love you man and respect you. I too quit alcohol/crack/cocaine/opiates. It's on page 10 of my log in you wanna good deep dive into what got me here on EVO and now I'm never leaving. We are all brothers in arms with the same battle history and feelings regardless of our stories.

Getting back to logging my intake today, headed to the store for prep materials right now…actually in one hour. Hahaha store opens at 0600, not 0500.
I did not eat any garbage yesterday, nor the week before, which is always hard when traveling. I found a greek restaurant where I bought a bunch of white chicken skewers that were soaked in lemon and garlic and cooked over flame. They were expensive but I still loaded up the hotel fridge. My friend totally understood….she is a gym rat as well.
We did go out and some clean seafood

I'm only 5'9" on a good day and in order to stay thick and muscular I need a lot of calories. What I've learned is that if those calories come from mostly protein then I can keep the muscle on and the fat/fluff at bay. Carbs for me make me look like a strongman and just big and puffy and I love getting bigger but I'm OCD about keeping my abs showing too so I have to really limit carbs but still keep my calories high in order to stay big. This is where protein and healthy fats come in... and then, enter the digestive supps to help me actually absorb and break it down so I'm not a bloated mess all day long. If you go to page 63 of my log you'll see my supps I take and the biggest ones for a high protein almost fully carnivore diet like mine is psyllium husk, digest gold, and apple cider vinegar and in that order.

Once we got that 25lbs off of you we will get you into high gear firing on all cylinders to then recomp and do a clean long bulk over a years time so you freak people out saying your almost mid 60's and look the way you do!

No I don't find my diet helps my joints. I'm starting to feel a lot of the injuries now from my career and only supplements and peptides have helped. The best diet can do is keep inflammation down by not consuming garbage, in general.

I have pretty bad arthritis in a shoulder, i get injections and the only other thing I can do is to keep the inflammation down through diet.
NPP masked it for a while about a year ago. Lol
Well bro, the OCD is working for you with your abs, I totally get that OCD thing.
The gym is the best type of activity for that! When I was younger, about 24, I developed a gambling issue and the OCD did not help at all, I would rather obsess and com-pulse over the gym any day!!

You're gonna need some BPC-157/TB500 and invest in that for a year bro it will help a lot. Add collagen peptide powder as well to help the peptides do their job they are like scaffolding for the collagen.

I was looking at some BPC/TB earlier and that is what I am going to do. I have a buddy using that mix for relief from a weird autoimmune thing, he says it works very well.

I tried my damndest to be an alcoholic, It didn’t work for me, way to slow. I choose not to drink because I love feeling good! Never had a problem with pills, still, way to slow. Hell, I had knee surgery and back surgery and didn’t use the pain medication because I hate numbness. I like to go fast, crystal, blow, ephedrine, any speed.
Scary terrifying bro. Nothing will stop a determined tweek.
It has been so long now, 21 years since I last put my lips on a glass, in fact, 21 years ago on the 4th, day after tomorrow at 0400 hours.
I hate that shit from the deepest part of my soul.
Sometimes, I can smell it in traffic at a red light. It makes me want to vomit.

Hell yes it tastes better!! They soak the chicken in lemon juice, olive oil and garlic and a pinch of salt….little pinch. And you dip it in Tzatziki sauce, the meat tastes thick, i think the lemon juice tightens it up!! Fuck yes! Lets fucking go!!!

I tried my damndest to be an alcoholic, It didn’t work for me, way to slow. I choose not to drink because I love feeling good! Never had a problem with pills, still, way to slow. Hell, I had knee surgery and back surgery and didn’t use the pain medication because I hate numbness. I like to go fast, crystal, blow, ephedrine, any speed.
Scary terrifying bro. Nothing will stop a determined tweek.
It has been so long now, 21 years since I last put my lips on a glass, in fact, 21 years ago on the 4th, day after tomorrow at 0400 hours.
I hate that shit from the deepest part of my soul.
Sometimes, I can smell it in traffic at a red light. It makes me want to vomit.

Hell yes it tastes better!! They soak the chicken in lemon juice, olive oil and garlic and a pinch of salt….little pinch. And you dip it in Tzatziki sauce, the meat tastes thick, i think the lemon juice tightens it up!! Fuck yes! Lets fucking go!!!

I remember just wanting space and time to pass, and how slow time moved in the space in between using and not. I keep that feeling very close. I move through life very confidently now but I always keep that close. It is like moving on, but never forgetting exactly what and who you are. I did look at myself right in the eye and totally accepted it all, and it took a long time, but I know exactly who I am now.

Lets fucking go! No where to go but up! Going down isn’t even remotely an option!!!

I accept who I am and I say it loud and proud now because for every bad thing I've done or every bad thing I've been labeled it's helped me be able to relate to anyone and help them through something similar!

And you're fucking right going down is never again and being "on our way" to our max potential is now our only option and goal! We will never get there but we are always "on our way" and we keep pushing forward!

I learned something about my arms that I never thought of before, my bi’s and tri’s both recover really fast, so now, when I do back and bi’s, I lead off with Bi’s and just pound them and then go into back, and it has been working. My tri’s seem to follow naturally

Getting back to logging my intake today, headed to the store for prep materials right now…actually in one hour. Hahaha store opens at 0600, not 0500.
I did not eat any garbage yesterday, nor the week before, which is always hard when traveling. I found a greek restaurant where I bought a bunch of white chicken skewers that were soaked in lemon and garlic and cooked over flame. They were expensive but I still loaded up the hotel fridge. My friend totally understood….she is a gym rat as well.
We did go out and some clean seafood

It is about to get serious. 25 lbs of fat need to go. This is going to be harder than the first 50.
I am ready to commit and put aside a lot of things for several months and get right down to business, I am under no illusion about how difficult this part will be. I know this will take not missing a day in the gym, double cardio days and reduced calories.
