Background

I've always been active growing up, playing a heap of sports like afl, cricket, basketball and going to the gym. As fun as all that was i was always pretty banged up afterwards being on the smaller side as a kid, but being young i would recover quickly so i never took rehab seriously. Also couldnt afford to see anyone back in the day. As ive gotten older injuries are starting to re appear and need attention.

I've recently had shoulder stabilisation surgery in sept 2025. The surgery went well and i was healing well until i developed a frozen shoulder. structurally im sound but limited with my movements. ive had a hydrodilitation injection in there which freed it up a bit but not all the way but still experience tightness and pain in the front of it with moving it to its limit and it seems to have slowed down the progress. i also had my left shoulder reconstructed about 20 years ago and had no issues until recently where it started to get sore again in the front as well whether thats because im over compensating for the right its hard to say scans once again show its structurally fine so its probably proper execising to pull my shoulders back in alignment that will fix it

I will also need surgery on my right hip as i have a cam deformity in there (example pictured below) that counter levers my hip out of the socket everytime i move it, theres cartledge damage in there. it aches after walking and running is even worse. the surgery is pretty straight forward but im waiting a little bit before i go under the knife because im still trying to sort out my shoulder. this is quite a common injury apparently and ive dealt with it since i was in my early 20s i just didnt know that was the issue. it has made everything around the area tight (hip, groins/adductors, ITB, psoas and in turn has given me knee issues from the ITB pulling on it. In the past ive been told to just stretch and roll out the tightness but obviously this only helped for a day or 2. Ive been told this is quite a simple surgery where they just shave a bit off the bone, however im at the in between age with the surgery, 20-30yo they would send me in every day of the week, 50+yo manage it and wait for a hip replacement. ive made the decision to do this at my age to hopefully avoid or at the very least delay my need for a hip relacement later down the track. And i want to be able to run around again with having to deal with aches and pains for days post. im not looking to run marathons but even just kicking the ball around or social sports. i tighten up and ache from just walking 1.5Kms

Because of these injuries i have stopped being active, because i figured i would just give my body a rest get them both sorted and then get back into it.
ive stopped lifting weights because of my shoulder and i havent been able to do cardio due to my hip and shoulders, i cant run, do the rower, i just started some swimming but obviously that is hindered by my shoulder. riding a bike is no good either.

Lastly I'm looking to optimise my health, wellness and longetivity. ive had my bloods done (will post them in a new bloods thread) and i have a few issues there namely low test and low iron (transferrin) a little high on Choleserol to name a few.

What im looking for

1. Looking for some help (namely peptides) for the recvery of my shoulder, so i can get back to being active again
2. Help with helping me improve my health and wellness
3. If the i can get on top of the top 2 i think this will cover the number 3 but looking for help to prepare and optimise my recovery once i have my hip surgery.
4. Once all the issues and problems have been sorted i will be looking at ways to optimise my work outs from lifting to aerobic

Thanks for reading if you got this far and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

welcome to the EVO family :D @jono182

For the shoulder and hip rehab, BPC157 daily + TB500 weekly is the common combo, but the real mover is consistent physio work on range, scap control, and gradual loading while you keep pain under control. :D

Start a simple log now with ed pain score, shoulder range, hip symptoms, steps or swimming, sleep, and your meds and supplements so the EVO family can actually guide recovery and prep you for hip surgery instead of guessing. 15min to start it.

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

I've been dealing with shoulder issues for many years, ever since I tore it in my mid-30s. I can tell you that BPC has definitely made a huge difference for me. I've been using it and it really makes a huge change.

Bros, the best supplement if you want health and wellness is N2Guard. You might want to look into that product; it's legit. I've been using the stuff for over 10 years.

sorry to hear about your hip issues. That seems to be a common thing, especially with women, but I guess when men have the issue it's a big problem too.

Hi all thanks for the replies!

All the advice has been very helpful!

Will get digging into everything and start a log once I’ve worked out what I’m doing!

One more question once I get the BCP and TB500 how will I know how much to take and how to administer it. Will the seller usually give me a guide?
