No need for so much ab work in my opinion. Once or twice a week is more than enough

monday-AM abs n calves-pm chest,triceps
tuesday-AM shoulders pm legs
wednesday-AM CALF,ABS-pm back biceps
thursday-am off-pm chest,tricep
friday-am shoulders-pm legs
saturday-am abs,calves-pm back,biceps
sunday off

I am doing something very similar to Steve. The thing for me is I rest when I need to. I may do the 3 days and then rest a day and repeat or I may do the 3 days and rest 2 days if needed. I have really learned to listen to my body when it comes to rest.

I like your split a lot. If you are able to train on the weekends, you would benefit from taking a rest day in the middle of the week and training on Saturday/Sunday to make up for that day. Training 5 days without a break is a lot on the body. If you are able to, I would change your split to the following:
Monday - Chest and abs
Tuesday - Back and calves
Wednesday - OFF
Thursday - Shoulders and abs
Friday - Legs and calves
Back - Back, abs and Arms

This is my split:
Day 1: Shoulders/arms heavy
Day 2: Legs/abs heavy (quad focused)
Day 3: Chest/back heavy
Day 4: Cardio/abs 1
Day 5: Shoulders/arms volume
Day 6: Legs/abs volume (hamstring focused)
Day 7: Back/chest volume
Day 8: Cardio/abs 2

After Day 8 I repeat day 1.

Mon - chest and back

Wed - biceps and triceps

Friday - legs

Saturday or sunday - do whichever exercises I like, but don't have the chance to include them in my main split.

I definitely agree with @jay - there is no need to work so much on the abs, because in the end of the day, it is the diet that brings the six pack - not the abs exercises.

Right now mine looks like

Monday- back/tris
Tuesday- shoulders/abs
Wednesday-legs (volume)
Thursday- cardio or off
Friday-chest/bis
Sat- legs heavy
Sun- cardio or off
