Can I store supps in the fridge?

Guys – I know that you are supposed to store your supps in a fresh place, not hot, etc. But where I live now, there is no AC, and it is freaken hot. It is fine with me – I can stand it and live it up in my own way. But I don't know how to store my protein, bcaa and creatine. Thought of putting them into the fridge – would it be ok? Or better in the hot weather?

Most dehydrated powders are going to be stable below 90° F. The stuff you really have to watch is peptides/hormones. I mean if your pantry is literally 120° F every day then put stuff in the fridge, but besides that I wouldn't worry too much.

If it really gets that Hot, then by all means, you can store your Protein in the fridge.
Creatine/BCAA's are more stable, as long as they have the Moisture Packs in them, if not, put them in the fridge.
Just make sure the caps are on tight, as moisture can seep into your supplements if not.

Fish Oil should be in the Refrigerator irregardless of the temperature, as it will go rancid quickly in the heat.

Peptides should be keep in the Frig always, not anywhere else.
AAS don't need to be kept in the fridge, unless it's Orals, again, some Orals are more susceptible to temperature variances.
And HGH should always be in the Fridge............................ JP

Absolutely. Putting your supplements in the fridge will actually extend their shelf life.

The colder the temperature, the slower biochemical reactions take place and the longer your products will last before become denatured.

That's why you store your food in the fridge. Low temp = less oxidation = increased shelf life.

All this -100%

I don't think any real world temperature is going to be too hot. I think the advice is more to keep them away from heat sources, leaving in hot cars, keeping in front of a sunlit window, near a fireplace, etc.

Nothing wrong with storing them in the fridge though.

No problem at all with storing supplements in the fridge. Just make sure to have everything closed tight, and there should be no problems. The only thing you should be concerned with when storing supplements in the fridge, is moisture. If you will have your supps closed tightly, this won't be a problem.
