Test Enth first cycle - unexpected effects

I'm 5'7 and 37 years old. I've done S4 before with little results, I've struggled my whole life with a layer belly fat and difficulty gaining muscle. I work out for an 1 1/2 hours 3 times a week and often go for hikes, swimming, bike rides. I don't watch TV ever and am up and about all the time. I watch my diet and count my macros.

Just started week 2 of the beginners Test Enth, 500mg/week + 12.5mg armiridex eod.

I have to admit I have never injected before, so looked at a lot of videos and read lots of advice. Last week I managed to still mess it up, so nervous! Took me as couple of tries too to get my courage up lol. I didn't hit it at the right angle and injected too fast, for a nice bruise for a few days.

What I've noticed are effects I wasn't expecting, I've gained a bit of muscle this week for sure, I've also lost fat, there is the start of a firmness to my body that wasn't there before. But more interestingly, I feel both energized and relaxed, and much happier. I feel like I found something that was missing.
 
The test e will be barely kicking in 2 weeks into your cycle. It takes 4x a drug's half life for it to reach full blood hormone levels.

Test e - 10.5 days half life x 4 = 42 days...6 weeks.

What you are experiencing is the placebo effect man. I am happy to hear you are getting such good results, but it's not from the testosterone. You probably subconsciously went "man I want to make the most out of this cycle so I'm going to start eating better and training my ass off!"

It's the diet and training that gave you the results - not the test e.

To answer some questions, I do have increased libido, which I'm not complaining about, and neither is my girlfriend (yet).

I'm sure there is also a part that is a psychological placebo effect but as long as it works to help me I won't dig too deep into it. :)

As for eating, I'm finding to have gone from easily feeling full to being able to "eat just one more" all the time so I have to watch that. I also do mild TRF (Time Restricted Feeding) and only eat from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

I'll have to get bloodwork done after PCT to see if that might be an issue I have.

Quick update: so far have gained 15lbs but some of that is fat, I'm always starving. I try to limit to my macros but since I'm gaining weight it's confusing to hit a moving target. I'm doing a few days of fasting to burn off some of the flab.

I still feel great and have super libido. I can't imagine going back to not taking Test Enth.

4 injections now and the fear of injecting myself is mostly gone. Is there an optimal position for self injecting into the glute? It's a bit uncomfortable I find.
 
This is great man. Keep up the good work. My Test Cyp for TRT is already mixed with arimidex and take it weekly with zero issues. I do believe the effects you are receiving are real. The mind is a super powerful thing. Combined with the mind and the drug, it's very real. I know placebo is also super powerful. But it also doesn't make you wake up with a rock hard dick like when you were 18. That's the drug for sure. So although, the muscle gain and all is probably from working out, you are getting some effects from the drug.
 
At this time ice made adjustments to my macros and increased my total calorie intake to adjust for the increased weight.

Overt the Friday to Monday I tried that 3 day water fast. Day 1 was a walk in the park day 2-3 were hard. I don't think I'll try it again. I did drop 4.5lbs in the 3 days though. I haven't experienced a bounce back yet either and it has helped reduce my overall hunger.
 
I'm up again in weight, I'm sitting at almost 150lbs. People have started to notice. Luckily it seems to pack on densely so it's not very visible. I don't want to explode in size overnight.
